I purchased my first car through Freddy and I must say...

I purchased my first car through Freddy and I must say it was an exceptional experience and attentiveness as well as customer service. Now i came back and purchased my 2nd car with Freddy again and i must say I was not dissapointed. He was very patient with me and allowed me to see different styles and what i was looking for. It is a pleasure to have someone who listens and as well answer any doubt or questions I have. He greeted me with a smile and with such mannerism, he has so much knowledge and experience that is easy to break down from so many options of vehicles. I want to say thank you so much and i cannot be any happier with my new car and the color I must say is amazing. Freddy your are an exceptional worker and thank you so much for helping me out.

Do yourself a favor and buy elsewhere

TL;DR We arrived at the dealership at 10 AM after agreeing to a price via e-mail communication. Despite very few customers being present, Richard L took 2.5 hours to draw up paperwork. Kia Carson added on “$899 Cilajet paint protection” after going back on word to expedite the buying process, subpar covid protocols, and plenty of excuses/horrendous customer service afterwards. After 100 emails and 10 calls, I was able to get a $899 refund on a paint protection charge that I never authorized. Please also look at the images I’ve attached. Be aware of “mandatory” optional add ons. Looks like Kia of Carson might be writing or incentivizing some fake positive reviews as their Yelp page is currently flagged with “Suspicious Review Activity”. Wouldn’t be surprised if they’re doing this across other review sites such as Google Places and Dealer Rater. We arrived at around 10 AM (opening time) the next day and Kabir could not make it so Richard Landeros was the Kia of Carson employee assigned to help with signing. While we were told prior to coming in that Kia of Carson would be adhering to Covid 19 protocols, we saw quite the opposite. Employees were gathered together in small rooms, there was no one sanitizing surfaces, and employee mask wearing was inconsistent (wearing below nose/mouse). Previous to arrival, we were also told that the signing would be expedited. Despite the fact that there were barely any other customers during the entirety of our time at the dealership, Richard took forever to draw up the paperwork. We asked multiple times if they could speed up the process but was told “the paperwork is almost done.” We finally got the paperwork 2 hours later around 12 PM. At this point, we had been at the dealership much longer than we’d felt comfortable with as we’re in the middle of a pandemic. I noticed that the final price was $1,400 more than what was quoted over e-mail. The finance manager “adjusted” the price down another $500. I asked him about the $899 optional paint protection charge and the finance manager said that this was a “mandatory” add on for all cars sold via Kia of Carson. While I could tell at this point that Richard and the dealership had purposely taken a long time to draw up the paperwork in the hope that we’d impatiently sign without looking at these extra charges. While we could’ve stayed and fought the charge, my father in law and I did not feel safe or comfortable having stayed at the dealership for 2.5 hours with the subpar Covid protocols. After 30 email follow ups, and 10 phone calls, I was able to get the purchase contract amended with the $899 OPTIONAL Cilajet Paint Protection charge removed. Kia of Carson mailed the contract to us and we got the contract notarized before mailing back to Kia of Carson. This was despite Richard saying initially that we “needed to come in person” for a resolution. Don’t support a dealership that not only goes back on their word regarding pricing but also doesn’t care about keeping its customers safe during a pandemic.
