We first contacted Phillips Toyota by email to see if

We first contacted Phillips Toyota by email to see if they still had a Grand Highlander Hybrid in stock that we could test drive. We were contacted within a half hour & set up a time to make the 90 minute drive to test drive a vehicle. And after making the trip and test driving the vehicle, they were able to find an incoming vehicle (30-45 days) that matched our requirements. We are excitedly awaiting its arrival!!

Started off on the wrong foot and went downhill from

Started off on the wrong foot and went downhill from there. I was under the impression that this was an internet deal and I was going for a test drive. When I got there I was met be a salesman and the process turned into the old fashioned salesman and manager routine. Right off the bat they said that the car i saw on cars.com was not a Signia Limited but an XLE model....and they blamed this on cars.com for getting it wrong on the website. After, low balling me on the trade value for my 2022 Avalon Ltd. the old fashioned back and forth started with the sales manager. I just came in for a test ride...and had limited time. This was a horrible experience...and I terminated it without going any further. I had bought several other new cars at Phillips Toyota, but sorry to say that my days of dealing with these guys are over.

I drove a total of 3 hours for a vehicle that I was told

I drove a total of 3 hours for a vehicle that I was told was going to be there the day before, it wasn’t. I received a call from them when I was an hour away and they still failed to inform me that the vehicle was not there. The vehicle arrived the next day and the dealership text me about it, I ask for him to run the numbers and send me the sheet. When I have a counter offer the dealer responded with snide comments. 100% would not recommend. You can get a car of the same quality from any other dealership with much better service.

Kenneth, We apologize for any miscommunication regarding the arrival of the vehicle that you were interested in. Unfortunately, we are provided an ETA (estimated time of arrival) from the distributor, and in rare cases, that ETA is off by a day or so. We understand that this can, and in this case did, cause an inconvenience for you. You informed us that your main point of the initial visit was to sit in the vehicle to make sure that it was compatible and comfortable for you. Our sales consultant then found a similar vehicle (just a different color) with the same dimensions for you to sit in and drive. You were satisfied with the comfortability and compatibility of the vehicle. You informed our sales consultant that you did not have time to work numbers, and you requested that he provide you with a phone call/text message when the vehicle arrived as well as a quote for the vehicle. Taking into account the inconvenience of the vehicle not being here during your initial visit, we then provided you with an extremely fair deal upon the delivery of the vehicle. You then countered us with an offer of $4,000 less than our already aggressively priced quote. Our sales consultant politely and professionally declined your offer, and thanked you for the opportunity to do business. After reviewing the messages between you and our sales consultant, we feel that he treated you professionally and courteously. Therefore, we find your review to inaccurately represent to the integrity of our staff and store values. Your sales consultant was not polite nor professional in declining my offer, he was condescending and lying to me. It would have been fine if he only said that $1700 was already taken off and no one would take off $5000 on this vehicle. Instead of a simple we cannot go that low on this vehicle he made the very untrue claim that your dealership was the ONLY one that includes a lifetime warranty and 4 years of maintenance when in fact multiple Toyota, Ford, Honda, Chrysler, and Buick GMC dealerships offer the same package or more without the snide attitude. If you feel this is the way to engage customers I’m sure I won’t be the only one who would rather take their business elsewhere.
