My experience was seemless, stress free, forthright, pleasant. The easiest and most depressurized purchase of a vehicle that I have ever bought. The staff were knowledgable, friendly, and I felt that they were working in MY best interest in getting the vehicle I wanted at a fair price! The vehicle was delivered to me from the dealership to my home due to my having some logistical issues and the staff person who delivered my new vehicle was very nice and also had nice things to say about the good staff @ Coughlin! I will check there first the next time I need a car or truck and would recommend them to anyone!!!

Problems with both trucks
2005 Ford ranger a complete lemon, still for sale, at Coughlin Ford in Johnstown , good luck. F-150 much better, still had to have the 4x4 fixed and never had to use it yet, at another dealer. Would not trust Coughlin service again. Could go on and on, easy enough to never buy there again.

The salesman Paul Hill came out and greeted us after a few minutes of us being on the lot. He was nice enough, but seemed un-interested. I looked at three different trucks, however, I was there to specifically look at a 2004 Nissan Titan that I saw online. The truck was stickered for 17,900 on the lot, however, it was online for 16,900. I asked some questions about the truck and he was not able to answer any questions of mine. I remember him stating that he didn't know much about it. He even had to look on his piece of paper to tell me how long it had been on the lot. Anyway, the wife and I took it on a test drive for about a half hour. We decided on a price and came back to try to make a deal. When we arrived back at the dealership, we were not greeted by anyone. We had to walk around to find the salesman. We found him in his office on his cell phone. I walked over to let him see that we were back, which he acknowledged by holding his finger up. We waited about 15 minutes for him to get off the phone. (Strike one.) When he got off his phone, he didn't ask how we liked it, how the ride was, etc. He just said, "well, you gonna let me sell you this truck today." (Strike two.) Before we were even invited in to sit down and talk prices, he said, "I might be able to knock $50 or so off for you. I said you're gonna have to do a lot better than that and had to ask him if there is somewhere we could sit and talk price.(Strike 2 1/2.) We sat in his office and I gave him my entry price, which was a low-ball effort...I'll give them that. He of course said he couldn't do it. After about a half hour or so of throwing prices back and fourth, He agreed to the selling price of 16k. Which, was more than I wanted to pay, however, I really liked the truck. But, once I said, ok $16k, tax, title & out the door, he reniged on the price and said that he can't do that because he'd be losing money. I told him, he's absolutely right, we're not going to be able to make a deal and if he decided that he wanted to sell a truck to call me in a few days. Of course I never got that call. Very un-impressed with this dealership. It felt like to us we were bothering the sales staff, with us being there. We later found out that Paul Hill is the GM of the dealership. You'd think the general manager would be a little more inviting to us. We were clearly ready to buy. I bought the same truck, only three years newer, with 10k less miles just a month later for the same price. There are a lot more Ford dealerships in the area I would go to before even looking at this place again. Good luck.

This place is HORRIFIC. We have had the worst experience EVER with Clayton who works in the shop. They "rebuilt" our transmission and within 24 hours it broke again and they are currently refusing to pay for their mistakes (or even own up to them, for that matter). We live in Chicago and are now arguing with him from 8 hours away, and he is a huge jerk. I am contacting all of his superiors so they all know about his unprofessional attitude and horrible work on our car. We have currently been without a car for a month total. And they refuse to pay for a rental car for us, so we have incurred that expense on our own. I will NEVER, EVER buy another Ford car or use Coughlin Ford, and neither will my family and friends who live in Johnstown. They are undeserving of any stars.

I bought a used vehicle from Coughlin in Johnstown. They were happy and nice in closing the deal, but we did not feel like they were flexible in supporting us after the fact when we had problems (the next day). I would not recommend them, nor will I buy a car from any of their central ohio dealerships in the future.

I purchased a brand new Ford Focus from Coughlin Ford 2 months ago. To say my buying experience was outstanding would be underrated! My salesman was Shawn Fosnaugh and he was extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and nice! He was able to offer me very good advice on different cars and pick the one that was right for me. At NO POINT did I feel like I was being pressured at this dealership. The financing was awesome! The warranty was great! I picked up the full extended warranty for a great price as I had done a lot of shopping around... oh and one thing I thought was really awesome is their Service Department is VERY competitive! They do oil & filter change plus tire rotation for only 24.95.... I mean are we talking about a dealer here? I'll be very happy to have my dealership to service my car for the next 5 years to maintain the spotless maintenance record for if I were to ever sell the car or need to use the extended warranty. Another great thing is how Shawn had access to the entire Coughlin Auto group's inventory, plus the ability to trade with other dealerships to get the car I wanted. We actually got my Focus from Bob Boyd Ford and I saved about 2,000 dollars under what Bob Boyd could have doe for me. I know this sounds more like an advertisement for Coughlin Ford, but I just had such tremendous service, received an absolutely outstanding price and was financed even though I have low income, but good credit. I was just so pleased! Oh and did I tell you that they actually delivered the car to my home? Talk about 5 star service! Very professional, very knowledgeable, nothing like what you would ever expect a dealership to be... and talk about a lot of trucks... lol, they sell a lot of trucks out of that dealership. My recommendation is to talk to Shawn, he's a great guy and somebody I have now recommended to my father for his next car purchase (which will be sometime this summer!).
