Buyer beware

Purchased a used Acadia from this dealership. Within 3 days of having it, I started having electrical issues. I reached out to my salesman who directed me to service. Arranged to bring it in. They gave me a horrible loaner that was dirty inside and out. I had to stop through a car wash on my way home, around an hour away, it was so bad, then sweep it out and wipe it down as well as change out the in cabin air filter. They called and said it was just a disconnected wire, sounded plausible. A week or two later it seemed to just randomly get stuck in gear, all kinds of lights going off and of course it tripped the check engine light. I took it to a local parts store and had them read the codes, both transmission codes. So I again took it back. I offered the codes to the service manager, who proceeded to tell me “they don’t go by those” they wanted the mechanic to find the problem himself. Of course the mechanic found nothing. And of course their 2,000 mile/2 month warranty ran out. After that I decided I didn’t have the time or patience to deal with their incompetent service department. I’ve now had approximately $8,000 worth of repairs in less than a year. Starting with the transmission, electrical, and a rear drive axle. I suspect they knew there were issues but didn’t want to fix them on their dime. I’ve told many people the horrible experience I’ve had, and my reach is far. I wouldn’t recommend this dealership to anyone!

Great buying experience from the start

I had an issue that was discovered 2 months after I bought the truck in July. Just now in January had time to contact dealership about the issue. I knew it should be covered by warranty but was expecting a battle in trying to get it fixed. No questions asked, part was ordered and told it would be fixed in a week. Super simple. Wish now I hadn't put it off dreading an issue in getting it covered. Will definitely recommend the dealership. A business that stands by what they are selling is surprising these days - a welcome surprise!
