Very satisfied customer

I purchased a used chrysler van from John Winkler a sales representative at Toth Buick in the fall 2022. John and the staff made the transaction easy and explained everything about the van to me, however being a used van a few weeks later i had some issues with the van I was amazed that after only one call to John everything was resolved perfectly The van now runs like new ! Before the van i leased a Buick Encore from John and again a perfect experience. I would highly recommend Toth Buick and definitely John Winkler if a purchase is in your future.

Great service

I recently bought my second vehicle from Toth Buick GMC. I have had experience buying both new and used vehicles there. I have been treated fairly, with respect, and both times I felt like I got an amazing deal. I care so much about the safety of what I drive and this has been really important while purchasing and maintaining my vehicles. I have gotten my vehicles serviced at Toth for the last 6 years. They never over sell me and they always make sure to keep me and my growing family in mind (and both SUV’s also keep me looking good, too). Sometimes you hear about gender stereotypes and how a woman is treated going in to purchase cars and I’ve actually experienced that at other dealerships, but Toth makes me feel like part of the family and I’m proud to support a family owned business.

Don't let them work on your vehicle

I took my GMC to get diagnostic. I drove it there. Next day they say it has 7k 7,000 worth of repairs needed done to it. They can only give me $500 if they were to buy it. But other dealership was going to give me 4k 4,000 to buy it as is with even the check engine light on. I think they're swindling me.

Worse experience with a body shop ever !!

I own a 2020 GMC terrain . I was hit by another driver on my driver side of my vehicle. I decided to take my truck to Toth because their a GMC dealer sob I knew I would get all GMC direct parts. That was the worst decision I could’ve made I drop my car off on May 7 went Wednesday the May 12th to pick it back up. I get there and it’s like they did the bare minimum I have small dings on the bottom of my door right above my door molding when I pointed them out to Todd he says to me you have to admit it’s small . I don’t care how small it is I don’t want any dings or scratches on my car also the moldings where not new. He insisted that the moldings were new and must have came in scratched. I came back today to pick my car up and it’s like they sanded those spots but not do the full work up on it because it was small they did the bare minimum . Did not paint the whole entire door like they charged insurance company for.I’m very upset and tried to express this and no one there even cared . The sales people and service men are nice . Unlike the body shop horrible customer service and work in the body shop is like a back yard Mecanic . I have the insurance company adjuster coming out to look at the door and someone else will fix it correctly. It’s not a large my spot but I expected my truck to be back exactly how it was before the accident. Also for them to do what they charged the insurance for

What customer service!

I went to Toth on Arlington Road in Akron, Ohio, to evaluate the size of the Arccadia. A gentleman came out, spoke with my husband and me and answered questions. He let me get into a Buick Enclave to evaluate its size. My husband left his name and number, told him what we were looking for ( a full sized SUV), and we left feeling like the interaction had been successful. We came home and started looking for vehicles on Auto Trader and Car Gurus. Around 2:30pm, I jumped on CARS.com (notice a familiar theme here) and I found this beautiful red Yukon listed for $7000. I called to make sure it was still available and we jumped in the car and headed back to Toth Buick and GMC on Arlington Road in Akron, Ohio. All the way there, we talked about the earlier visit and wondered why the salesman hadn't told us about it, since he knew what we were looking for and resolved to ask the salesman when we got there. Well, he wasn't around so this other guy offered to bring the car down for us. After checking the computer, he informed us that the car was not what we asked for. It took me some time, because I had gotten angry, but I was able to show him the ad on my phone. The junk he showed my husband wasn't worth the $7000 asking price, and the car pictured was a nearly $16,000 sticker price. They advertised a 2007 Yukon SLT, but pictured a 2013? model of a different kind. I told the salesman I wanted the pictured car for the advertised price, which I knew they wouldn't do. So what are my issues? I'm sure the family guy, Mr. Toth is wondering as he reads this, so I will spell it out. 1. Your first salesman didn't even offer to help us find anything. He was in early, but I'm pretty sure if I had said I wanted that 2014 Enclave, he'd have helped me make the purchase. 2. I wasted time due to an inaccurate ad (mistakes happen). But the most egregious sin was that the last guy (a young African-American), didn't even offer an apology. As I said, What customer service! Don't worry! I won't be back!

Dealer response

I'm really sorry that this happened. We have a Yukon and a Yukon XL, both red, and the pics were mixed up. I fixed the pics in our system last week and I guess I assumed that the pictures would then be fixed on all of our 3rd party sites like Cars.com. I was wrong. I'm sorry you made the drive back based on incorrect pictures. I'm also sorry Antoine didn't offer an apology. He's an awesome guy, that's not like him, I'm not sure what happened there. Anyway, it was an honest mistake and I apologize. -Nick Toth

Bait and switch

I've been pricing suvs for $10,000 and under, I found listed on 3 major popular internet car sales sites, cars.com, autotrader.com and cargurus.com the perfect suv, fully loaded, very low mileage, clean car fax, great model, too good to be true but it was listed so I called and the suv supposedly just sold and is there something else they could sell me, none of which were anything close to the deal listed. So now fast forward a week later and low and behold there is the same suv again, the really attractive vehicle with all the best goodies, popping up on the same search sites, only now its even more attractive because its a "recent price drop of 1,000.00" which I'm sure even baited more people to call in! Sadly, don't get your hopes up because its not there, they only want to appear to be a great and fair dealership to get you in the door. I'm disappointed and frustrated, I don't have time to waste on fictious deals that are only geared to get me in their door.

Dealer response

Janet, I apologize if you feel that we did anything like this intentionally. We're a family owned and operated dealership, going on our 85th year in business. It's definitely not worth it for us to advertise cars we don't have and play games to get people in the door. I'm not sure exactly how this happened but we absolutely should have let you know that our previous deal fell through. I'm really sorry that we dropped the ball there. -Nick Toth
