I can in to test drive a 2024 RAV4.
I can in to test drive a 2024 RAV4. I needed a vehicle that I could put a Thule Hullevator on to assist me with my kayaks. I told the sales manager Randy that I wanted to do more research to make sure the hullevator would go on the RAV4 then I would decide and buy. He told me he was familiar with Thule and assured me it would go on the Toyota roof racks. Our deal included installation. Of roof racks and installation of the hullivator. Long story short it wouldn’t go on the rack and the Thule racks are not tested and won’t go on the Rav4. I had to take it to a kayak shop and they called a Thule engineer to find out I now own a car that won’t meet my needs and a 900.00 hullivator that won’t go on my car. All because I listened to them instead of doing my own research. When I let them know that it wouldn’t fit on the e Toyota racks I was told to buy the Thule and they would put them on. They are 400-600 dollars. I was then given a lecture about how they already lost money on the vehicle and how he wouldn’t have told me that, because she was a good father, husband and Christian. He left out liar. People do not trust car dealers because of people like him. He then called Thule himself and he was told they would work. When the kayak dealer called Thule they said they would never tell anyone an item that wasn’t tested on a vehicle would work. The sale manager also didn’t like that I taped our deal. Imagine that! Will never return to a Gettel dealership. I will take this vehicle, if I keep it, to Venice Toyota for its service.
