About our dealership

This seller has been on Cars.com since December 2023.
In January of 1934 Wiley Mossy Sr. opened Mossy Motors on Rampart Street in New Orleans. Mossy was only the third car dealer to open in the city and the first Oldsmobile dealer in the entire State of Louisiana.

Almost immediately Mossy Motors gained a reputation of offering outstanding customer service fair prices and quality products. And after 75 years the Mossy name still represents these qualities.

My experience at Mossy Motors was the best I swear, my

My experience at Mossy Motors was the best I swear, my credit score was extremely low, I didn’t think I would be driving off the same day in the vehicle that I wanted. But a wonderful wonderful salesman by the name of Elliot made me look at things a little realistically, and I ended up in the car better than the car of my dreams with a reachable monthly payment and only $3,000 in interest. And I drove off the same day with money left in my pockets. So if anyone is looking to purchase a vehicle, ask for Elliot, I promise you it’s worth it. And you’ll end up in a vehicle that you want or better. He’s not pushy, he’s realistic. Mossy Motors is the best, on my momma.

I actually saw Elliot Vowell, Seth's assistant.

I actually saw Elliot Vowell, Seth's assistant. He was absolutely FABULOUS!!! Everyone at that dealership are AWESOME! I told Elliot about being a little girl, dreaming of getting a car from this particular dealership & I did. I FINALLY GOT MY MOSSY CAR😁!!!! One of these days, months, years, I will be back for that Lavender Acadia Denali!

I chose to come to Mossy from the Westbank because of the exemplary service given from the moment you drive up in the service lane. Mossy has the best technicians. Sean made sure all my needs were met and Tech. Tim Knecht made the necessary repairs. The entire team was Epic. I was very impressed to be given a loaner. I’m not sure how this dealership remains in business due

I’m not sure how this dealership remains in business due to my recent experience with them. I was buying a used truck for a friend of mine. I live in Baton Rouge he is in Chalmette. We agreed to a price and was assured I could write a check since I bank with Chase. My friend picked up the check from me Tuesday night and dropped it of at Mossy Wednesday morning. The dealership then called him back and stated they do not take personal checks although we were told the exact opposite. Their porter picked up the check and I called his salesman and asked if my friend could go pick up his truck and was told no, they need to wait until their driver gets back to New Orleans. I then asked if they could deliver the truck to him and was told no. The sales manager Kirk Gundoff said he needed to come in to get a ‘GREAT” sales experience. I buy a lot of vehicles for myself and never was treated this badly. Acting like we were trying to scam them or something. Gundoff even had the nerve to tell me if you don’t want the truck you don’t have to buy it. If I hadn’t already got the cashier’s check, I would have told him where he could shove the truck up. I’ve bought a vehicle from a Mullinax Ford in Apopka Florida and said to me they deliver anywhere in Florida so I met them In Pensacola. I’ve bought several vehicles from Lexus of Mobile and they delivered the vehicles and paperwork to me here in BR. Mossy sales manager/and sales persons are arrogant and act like they are doing you a favor. They went as far as looking up my address as the salesman told me you have a nice house. Don’t waste your time with these FOOLS.

Good services, needs more mechanics on duty.

Good services, needs more mechanics on duty. I would like to see more shuttles instead of that one because I really don’t take it because you may have to go around the city before reaching your destination
