To: Whom it may concern Hello, my name is Cheryl Scott . On Tuesday, March 16, 2020 I dropped my car off at Mike Perry auto dealership, for them to fix it. I had an appointment on March 17th @ 8:30 am. I dropped it off on Sunday evening March 15. 2020 because it was easier for me to just drop it off that night instead of trying to take it over that morning before I went to work. The first issue i had with them was I had an appointment for 8:30 am for them to fix my recall that I had on my car and to figure out why my headlight kept going out. I already new it wasn’t just the headlight, because I had already changed the headlight. I informed the service department as well. So when I called to check on my car around 12:30pm. Because I hadn’t heard from them and they said my car would be ready today. They went on to explain to me that they hadn’t had a chance to look at my car, because they had customers before me which I felt was a lie, but I couldn’t prove it. I did ask them what was the reason for an appointment? I set up an appointment and dropped it off an entire day early to ensure my car would be there for my 8:30 appointment. But I let it be, and I didn’t argue I just said ok. I said but you could have called and informed me of this. I had to call you to figure it out. I had to go another day without my car. After complaining to them about the lack of communication on their part I said ok. The next day March 18 I called again about my car to see what was going on around 1:30 pm that’s when they went on to tell me that my car was readying the problem was my headlight and they had replaced it. I said it wasn’t my headlight because my I have already changed it I have already changed my headlight. So the headlight is not the problem it’s something more than just a headlight. I said I have already changed the headlight before and it’ll work for a little while., but after awhile it would go back out. He said to well let me check something else and I’ll call you back. I said ok. About 15 minutes later after rechecking my vehicle he called me back and let me know that the problem wasn’t my headlight, but head light modulator had went bad. They then stated they would have to order the part and it will be there in the morning on (3 19-20) Isaid OK. I have a warranty on my vehicle so I’ll give you the phone number and the contract service number So you can call and make sure the problem would be covered under my warranty. I then said if it’s covered. I will get it fixed because if it’s not covered I don’t want to do it right now. He got my info for my warranty information and said he was going to call the warranty company (National Auto) He said OK let me call them. I said ok. He said I’ll call you back once I speak to them. Shortly afterwards he called me back and let me know that the problem with my modulator was covered with my warranty and all I would only owe is $50 deductible. I said OK go ahead and fix it and they said ok. He then went on to tell me he would have to order the part and it would be there the first thing in the morning, and he would put it on and call me to let me know it was ready. The next day Icalled back around 2:00 PM to see if they were through with my car, and if so I was coming to get it. They informed me that I could not because they were waiting on payment from the insurance. I said so I can’t get my car until they pay and they said no. Because the request was made after 12pm the day before it would take the next day to show payment. I said ok I can wait This morning, which is today March 20th. the dealership called and said ok The warranty paid, but you now owe $90 I said why do I owe $90 when you told me all i would be responsible for is $50 deductible.. At this I’m speaking with the service manager. The first reason he told me I had to pay was because it was part of the diagnostic fee, and then I explained that cont:
