Con Artists… I purchased a new Genesis from this

Con Artists… I purchased a new Genesis from this dealership. The sales person was quite pleasant and professional and I appreciated the sales person’s knowledge and genuine honesty. It wasn’t until a few days later that I realized they lied to me. They went out of their way to cheat me in financing. While at the dealership, I asked for the special Genesis financing, and they told me that Genesis did not have an offer at the time; however their preferred Bank of America (which according to their finance guy had special business relationship with the dealership) has competitive rates. I went along with that and got a very high financing rate with BOA. A day later, when I found out that they lied to me, and I contacted them, they said the deal is done and there is nothing they would do. Since then I contacted Genesis and asked for intervention as these con-artists were tarnishing the brand. While on the phone with Genesis, I learned that apparently, while I was at the dealership, they had actually submitted my application to Genesis financing with some wrong information, and thus my application was declined; but after I had left the dealership, they had resubmitted my application with correct information and had received an approval, but it was after they had shoved the high rate loan down my throat. They had gone through that length to cover their tracks. I have since reported this to Genesis, BOA, as well as the local authorities. I tried contacting the sales person as I trusted the individual, but I was told that the sales person was not working at the dealership any longer. Side note: In my conversation with BOA, I learned that the rate that dealers offer loans on behalf of financial institutions, are NOT the actual rates that the banks charge. The difference in the actual rate and what the dealers push, is pure profit for dealerships! So, regardless of which dealership you go to, note that the rate is a negotiable item AND you would certainly get a better rate if you just go to your own bank! What they did was a sad case of embezzlement with their partner in crime (BOA). It didn’t hurt me because I was lucky to be able to pay off my loan as soon as I realized that I was cheated. I am writing this to hopefully prevent the financially vulnerable from getting hurt by such con artists.

I just purchased my second santa fe from Echert hyundai.

I just purchased my second santa fe from Echert hyundai. My first was from a honest dealership. My salesman was very nice and helpful. I ask if he has a demo for sale. Yes he did. I ask if i would get all warranty. Answer yes. After driving the vehicle and talking further with salesman and manager I told them I would purchase it if I could get it for x dollars. Next morning I got a text tell me we had a deal. Went to pick up the vehicle. The finance person Charlie was arrogant and rude. I was told could not get the maintenance warranty . After being rude he said he would give it to me but it would come out of the salesman commission and he would probably be fired. I signed the papers and paid cash for the vehicle. My mistake I only looked at the bottom line. Today I was looking at the invoice . Charlie had charged me for the maintenance policy. Lesson learned be very aware of this dealership. They are not honest and are very rude . Exception , I had a very nice salesman.

Billy in the service department will lie to your face.

Billy in the service department will lie to your face. Brought our car in for a warranty issue that was supposed to be fixed in April of 2023! The same error code showed up in Dec. We dropped the vehicle there 12/3 and by 12/7 they had killed it. They said the engine seized up while they were taking it for a test drive. This was after they told me to come in, my vehicle was ready. Spoke to Billy over and over and he assured us he submitted the paperwork to Hyundai for an engine replacement. We found out he never did. He is such a liar who is sadly unconcerned about the customers. Stay away from this place. There are far too many dealerships in Texas who offer great service! And after reading some of the reviews what happened to us seems to be common. It’s so unfair and frustrating

Run far away from this place, they are liars

Worst and most dishonest place ever! Very dishonest and unprofessional place to deal with. Stay far far away from them. Jim L is an absolute joke of a service advisor, and his manager is just the same. Took my car in for a warranty issue, they said there was an issue that disqualified it from being under warranty, asked to see the issue they absolutely refused to provide any details or insight to it. Took my car to 3 other places locally and no one saw the issue they saw, even told me I was lucky they did not intentionally create said issue. Go anywhere else but here.

Sorry I Wasted My Time Here

5/7/2023 I have been looking for a white 2023 Tucson SEL for months now; but dealerships were always sold out by the time I arrived. I saw online that Eckert had one in stock so we went to check it out. We drove the car which had about 5 miles on it and loved it. When it came time to talk numbers, the manager would not budge on the sticker price, We left disappointed but hopeful they would come back with a least a small amount off the sticker price. We then saw that Van Hyundai in Carrollton had the same car with a different color interior in stock. Van came with a price of about $1,000 off the sticker price and the window tint included at no charge. We called Eckert to see if they could match the price, being that we liked the interior color of the car at Eckert better. The salesman, Alex, then informed us that it was his understanding that Van would tag on a lot of extra charges at signing, and that Eckert would not come down from the sticker price quoted. NO extra charges were tacked on at Van by the way. I am now a proud owner of a Tucson from Van Hyundai in Carrollton.

Choose this Dealership

The dealership was amazing. Everything worked seamlessly, the people were friendly and knowledgeable, and they have great products. We leased a GV80, and it is a dream car. Also, the service offered for the first 3 years is amazing. No need to go to the dealership, they come to you with a loaner Genesis. WOW

This place is a STEALERSHIP

About a month ago, I came to buy a used 06 with 110k miles and I live about 3 hours away, so I put down a $300 deposit to hold it. and after checking out the car they wouldn't even come down off the price more than $50 even though the car had an exhaust leak, broken sway bar link and plugs in the tires, they also lied to me saying the oil was "recently changed" but the first thing I did when I got home was an oil change and it was so black. I've even tried to contact the GM 3 times and of course, no response probably because I bought a 6k car with cash instead of a 60k luxury car, this place sucks so bad, I paid 6500 for the car and I've put another 600 into fixing it. Just save you're money and go somewhere else, this place is a STEALERSHIP!!
