"Experience Clear and Simple Car Buying and Selling"
I went to Carmax on 4th of July. The place was not super packed, so that was great. We had a little 9th month old on tow, and were nervous that it would... take us all day to shop. The only thing that took a lot of time was waiting for a sales man. Apparently, the new young guys at the front were more interested in flirting (yes flirting) with each other and playing around than realizing that we needed help or just plainly asking us if we were being helped. That really bothered me, as we wasted 30 mins just sitting dumb. The front desk girl was no help.. she was the one to tell us to sit and wait and then no where to be seen. Finally someone professional and extremely courteous walked by ... the service manager. He quickly apologized for our wait, and brought along Daniel Claudio. I am SOOOOOOOOOOOooooO thankful he did. Danny was professional, kind, humble, hard-working, and just all the way a pleasure to work with. He represented Carmax the way it should be. He took the details of what we were looking for and walked us around to cars that would fit our needs. The second car (nissan pathfinder) was a recommendation from him... and that was the car we bought. Danny if you're reading this... THANK YOU! You're such a great employee and that deserves recognition.
Loved my very smooth buying purchase from CarMax last night the salesman Ricardo was very nice and very knowledgeable very impressed with him he was courteous... and pleasant! Had a very good experience! Thank you Ricardo-CarMax!
I did my homework for a month. I contacted the dealership on a weekend, received a prompt response. Arrived at the dealership 20 minutes after they opened... on a holiday, and had my car traded/sold and a new one tested and purchased in half the time I've spent at other dealers. Steve, the gentleman that helped me, was very knowledgeable and that means a lot in my book. I have had several experiences where the person trying to sell me something knew far less about it, than I. CARMAX had been a recommendation from friends and family so I am happy to say they all gave me great advice. I would definitely recommend this dealership in Norcross, and Steve, to anyone.

Hands down this was the most pleasant and stress free car buying experience EVER! My senior sales consultant was Shenita Monroe at Carmax Norcross , who... was an excellent salesperson to buy my 2015 Subaru Outback car from . Highly professional , courteous and detailed , are the words that come to mind to describe her exemplorary customer service style . We initially enquired about the vehicle online and discovered it was at the Kennesaw Carmax location . She immediately requested a transfer so that within 24 hours we could conveniently test drive and finally purchase the car. She is the real deal and we can't recommend her enough . Please make this woman a sales manager !! 5 STARS...
I had not driven in 27 years because I lived in a city, so getting back to driving was a challenge, but Jim Digh made it easy and comfortable. He too almost... the whole day with me, explaining all the new modifications and we test drove several cars before we found one that fit me. Then I returned it for a different make and model and he couldn't have been kinder. Maybe it's because I'm newly returned to the South, but he made what was an extremely anxious procedure for me, completely painless. And he was great fun to talk with.
Don't go to carmax! Because I went there and I regret and treated wrong! There are plenty of used and new car dealerships all over Atlanta!
We wanted to sell our used vehicle to carmax. The car was owned by my fiancé and his mother. She lived out of state so we called ahead to ask what paperwork... was needed from her in order to sell the vehicle. However when we arrived the staff told us different paperwork than we were told on the phone. So we would need to come back another day. Each time we came to the store we were told a totally different paperwork was needed in order to sell. We would then have to return home again and collect the newly requested paperwork only to be told again that the previous manager we talked to was incorrect and the paperwork they said was not what we needed. And was given new instructions on what paperwork to bring. This occurred four times!! The staff is not well trained and the car selling experience should not be this difficult. I will never recommend carmax or this location ever! It was a terrible customer service experience.
This is our second car we are buying for carmax bad it's always an easy process found exactly what I needed and at the right price defiantly recommend... this place the person I worked with was bob Sherwood really nice great guy very honest.

WENT IN TO LOOK AT A CUBE THEY HAD ON THE LOT AND THE SALESMAN TOLD ME IT WAS TOP OF THE LINE. WELL COME TO FIND OUT IT WAS BELOW THE MID LINE I ALMOST... MADE A BIG MISTAKE. THEY SAY WE MAKE CAR BUYING EASY WELL I BEG TO DIFFER. THEY HAVE WENT FROM A NORMAL CAR DEALER TO A MEGA STORE THAT DOESNT CARE ABOUT THE CUSTOMER. SO BUYER BEWARE THEY ARE NOT ALWAYS THE CHEAPEST OR THE BEST QUALITY.
