Great Employees and purchase experience!
We have had multiple great experiences with this location. Steve, a sales manager was great and so helpful! We had mechanical issues with one of our cars and they took it back within the 30-day warranty with no issue!! I highly recommend this CarMax location for your car buying purchases!!

The car buying process at Carmax is relatively straight forward and easy, no pressure, no haggling, and straight forward pricing. Unfortunately once you signed the paperwork you find out the process is so easy because of the poor quality of the cars they sell. As soon as we pulled off the lot there was a multitude of problems that should have easily been caught during their supposed 150 point inspection, but were somehow missed. We purchased a 2020 Chrysler Pacifica, but were not afforded a test drive due to the car shipping from Texas. Upon driving it home, the first thing noticeable was how filthy the van was. Dirt all over the carpet, grease everywhere, my wife took a wet wipe to the steering wheel and it turned black! This was after we had to wait two days after the van was delivered so Carmax could "clean" it. The blind stop monitoring system was out of service per the message flashing on the dash, the front brakes were shot, the air conditioning barely worked, there was an issue with the front suspension, and a moldy smell blew through the vents when the air conditioning was turned on. In order to fix these issues I have had to bring the van in for service 5 times and they still haven't managed to fix it. I bought the van May 1, so in less than two months the van has been in the shop more often than it has been in my driveway. The latest service is what caused me to write this review as I've reached my wits end. The front suspension issue has not been resolved during the previous 4 visits, so after dropping the van off for the 5th time I was called a liar because Carmax claimed they could not replicate the issue. I called to escalate my issues to some sort of management but was instead passed around from person to person without a resolution. Their so-called Sales Manager Kat is extremely rude and condescending, calling my wife a liar over the phone and ignoring our issue. I would recommend they keep her away from customers. The suspension issue is a serious safety concern for my wife and I due to the van being our family hauler, unfortunately Carmax puts profit above the safety of a family. Id you are in the market for a used car, I cannot stress how important it is that you pass Carmax by. A vehicle purchase is a huge financial commitment, with the hope being that it lasts you 5+ years. Instead I'm stuck with a car that hasn't lasted me 5 days.

Just want to inform potential buyers of automobiles at...
Just want to inform potential buyers of automobiles at Carmax to insist on receiving a CarFax report. My wife purchased a Used 2015 Lexus RX350 at the Kennesaw GA location and when she asked for the CarFax report she was given the run around. We were told it didn’t exist, there was no need to worry. In the end, shame on us for not insisting on getting it before signing. Since we have found that the car was stolen, in a serious accident and was suspected of rolling back the odometer. Until this experience we had very good luck with CarMax, but after this experience, we will not use them again. BTW, we traded in the car and bought a new one. Remember the old saying “Buyer Beware”, I hope this helps some considering using CarMax.

Just Say No
Twenty (20) weeks ago yesterday Ann and I bought a 2019 Dodge Caravan at CarMax in Kennesaw, GA. We still don't have a title for the car. Have gotten nowhere with the store or corporate. I don’t believe anybody at CarMax understands or takes seriously (or cares about) the predicament this places us in. If we were to experience a total loss in the new vehicle, we could not settle a claim and replace the car until we have the title which I have been advised could take another two months. My only two requests of CarMax were beyond reasonable, I asked that CarMax (a) assure me that the car they sold me had a clean title and (b) that in the unlikely event we experienced a total loss in the vehicle before they perfected the title, CarMax would assure us a loaner vehicle until they produced the title so I could settle a claim and replace the vehicle. CarMax has refused to do either, displaying that they would not agree to the very basic of basics when it came to doing the right thing. I understand the refusal to guarantee me that they sold me a car with a clean title, as it is now obvious given that they have had to go back to the original owner for supporting documentation that the title to the car was neither clean nor unencumbered. I’ve never said, thought or believed that CarMax intentionally sold me a car without a clean title; I’m confident that it was a clerical error and that they will eventually get it corrected. However, refusing to provide us basic assurance and protection that would be of zero cost to CarMax is startling, disappointing, and downright frightening. I will never buy a car from CarMax again and I would encourage anybody reading this to give serious consideration to looking for a more reputable dealership when they are ready to buy a car. It appears that when it comes to ethics and integratory as well as a willingness to just do what is right, CarMax isn’t ready for prime time. Large Inventory; Long Wait Times
Made an appointment and still had to wait a good bit. Their inventory was very extensive and it is nice to have full range to explore all of the options.

My Beautiful Chrysler 200
After the horrifying wreck I thought I could never love another car like the last one. Then the fabulous sales staff at Carmax Kennesaw helped me find My beautiful Chrysler 200. She purrs like a kitten and handles like a dream. I couldn't be happier.

Great service
I did not end up buying a car here but it was at no fault of Carmax (simply found something elsewhere and fell in love with it). It was my first time going in looking to purchase a car for myself and the salesman I worked with was very accommodating. There was even a car I wanted to drive that they were having trouble locating in the back lot and he spent a lot of time searching for it for me. He was not pushy when I said I wanted to wait and see what else I could find and I really appreciated that. Prices seemed fair considering the work they put in to make sure the cars are in good condition before purchase. Will definitely consider this dealership for future purchases and recommend to people I know looking to buy.

Carmax Kennesaw, Ga. (Town Center)
This review is for the Carmax in Kennesaw, Ga (Town Center). I haven't been one to write reviews online, but I feel that I was saved from some shady car business by other people's reviews, so I thought I should come and share my experience with CarMax. Truly, CarMax was absolutely wonderful. My wife and I ended up purchasing a 2012 Honda Odyssey from the CarMax in Kennesaw, Georgia, but we spoke on the phone to the Mobile Sales team in North Carolina, as well as corresponded with sales consultants in other dealerships. All in all, *every single person* was professional and helpful. We also bought the top-of-the-line MaxCare (extended warranty) plan, and while I hope we never have to use it, I have confidence that CarMax will do its part if we ever do need to use it. I could go on and on, but I want this review to help someone. Give CarMax a shot if you haven't. Our experience was totally wonderful from start to finish, even though buying a used car isn't my favorite activity. Thank you, CarMax.
