MINI UNIVERSAL IS BELOW THE BAR!!!

This dealership is bull$hit! I have owned 6 MINI’s. I have never had to deal with this dealership until most of them closed down leaving us with limited options. I live out of area and had to drive 2.0 hours away to get serviced for an oil change. I send my boyfriend down there to take care of my car and now they tell me that there is a 2.5 hour wait even though I have an appointment. No one released this information to me prior, explaining how long the wait was going to be giving me options if I even wanted to keep that appointment b/c of the wait or choose a different day. According to Angie front desk gal that answers the phone no one can help me. I can’t get a loaner because the wait is long. I can’t talk to anyone regarding the issue and I was hung up on. I called back and I am still on hold. at MINI and she is no help. She told me no one is on the floor. Finally, I get ahold of George in servicing and he is no help. He was actually the one to book appointment for servicing. All I wanted was an oil change. In the matter of minutes the wait went from 2.5-4. So unprofessional and not compassionate to customer service problems. With the limited amount of MINI dealerships open in So.Cal it leaves us with limited options for servicing. I have been with BMW since 2001 and MINI since 2010. MINI is my favorite car, but with the poor customer service and lack of employees available to help customers at the dealership and the recent tale of unfortunate events. If I don’t get serviced today I am going to give MINI back their $hit! I urge customers not to buy any servicing plans through MINI. They want your money buy make it inconvenient for you. If you do have servicing plans through MINI, make sure you ask all the right questions and plan better because you literally may be stranded there for 2-4 hours at a time because servicing scheduling will not tell not tell you and when you call back there is no one to help you! I own a new 430i BMW and along with MINI since 2001 and never has this problem! I always tell people EXCELLENCE in customer service standard is BMW, but the MINI UNIVERSAL is below the bar.

Mini of Universal City has advertised for sale a 2015

Mini of Universal City has advertised for sale a 2015 Honda Fit EX. They have it advertised as an EX-L; the car does not have leather seats and some additional features which denote the "L". I informed the dealership and they apologized and stated they would make the correction to their advertising. Initially, they made the correction, but have since reposted the car as an EX-L. Very transparent and easy going MINI Motoring Advisor

The GSM Jeremy Grossman was great! He gave me a great deal on a new MINI Countryman Cooper S. I went to many dealers in the LA area but MINI of Universal City was the only one that really gave me a fair price and was transparent with pricing.

Mini Universal Values Their Customers

Mini of Universal City is by far the best dealership I've ever had the pleasure of doing business with. I've leased and serviced three Mini Cooper's through them over the years. But I never expected the level of care and concern I received after a motorcycle accident earlier this year left me with two shattered knee caps. Per my doctors I would be unable to drive a manual transmission for at least a year. I've only ever driven Coopers with manual transmissions because I love the way they handle. Unfortunately, I had twenty months left on my current lease on a car I could no longer drive. I reached out to Huw John, the general manager of Mini of Universal City, to see what my options were. I hoped there might be a chance to discount the financial burden I owed, but in the end I understood we had a contract and I would have to honor the terms of my lease. After all, my motorcycle accident and current health situation were no fault of Mini Of Universal City. Within a week, Huw had spoken to Mini Corporate about my situation and between them they offered to take back my current vehicle and get me into a new lease with no financial penalty or burden on me. They felt I had enough to deal with recovering from my accident. A week later my wife and I spent the morning with Mini motoring advisor Marc Perry who patiently showed us every available option. In the end we drove off in a new 2016 Mini Clubman, one that I could easily manage with my compromised situation and with a lease payment only slightly above what we were paying on our previous car. I always felt comfortable doing business with Mini Universal before, but never anticipated the level of personalized care and concern we received this time. Huw, Marc and sales manager JD Donnelson went above and beyond any expectations we had to ensure that my wife and I were happy and completely satisfied with our transition. They were under no obligation to be so accommodating in breaking my lease. They were simply doing what they could to help. It may sound cliche but it's true. When dealing with Mini of Universal City, you do feel like you're being treated like family. I can't thank them enough and I highly recommend going to them if you are in the market for a Mini.

The best dealership experience! I shopped quite a few different ones in search of my frost blue hardtop Misty. The team is always professional and courteous when I bring my car in for service. I have been leasing my mini for almost three years, in that time I've not once had a poor experience.. My car has needed repair no less than 5 times (drivers for whatever reason just LOVE to hit my car when it is parked) so I consider myself seasoned in this observation. I highly recommend Mini of Universal because you can buy or lease a car anywhere, but I haven't experienced the fun atmosphere or stellar service anywhere else at a dealership. Ever. And buying a car is a relationship y'all, whether you realize it or not. To drive my point home, I injured my spine this year and can no longer drive. Mini of Universal has gone above and beyond to help me w arrangements and getting through this tricky time. You do not find that anywhere, and that's a business worth supporting.

"Great Experience at Mini of Universal City!"

Honestly, I hate going into dealerships to buy car, I always hesitate to start talking to a sales advisor as they have a bad record of being "pushy" and dishonest, until I met Anthony Marshall yesterday and he totally changed my opion of this experience! He was such a pleasure to work with, very knowledable and helped me of where I needed to be to be able to purchase the Mini I wanted. I highly recommend Mini of Universal and ask for Anthony Marshall to assist you, he can perfom miracles and get you in the car of your dreams!

Anthony Marshall at Universal MINI was an absolute pleasure to work with. He went above and beyond to get us the best value and experience. Well worth the drive!

While I've also had a pleasant sales experience at another SoCal MINI dealer, that place's service department turned out to be a huge source of frustration and wasted time. Universal City MINI however is different. From Sales (Anthony & Isabel) to Service (Billy & Tommy), they all care about the brand's products and their customers' satisfaction. I highly recommend this place.

This is the only Mini dealership you should buy from

Not going to lie. I had a miserable experience at Nick Alexander with my first Mini (the car was great but the sales and service experience was absolutely horrible) and as a result, was seriously considering NOT leasing a second Mini three years later. I decided to give another dealership a chance and I have to say I am glad I did. Anthony at Universal City Mini made the process so much less soul crushing than it was three years prior. I highly recommend you visit this dealership and work with Anthony and his team. You're welcome!

This is the only Mini dealership you should buy from

Not going to lie. I had a miserable experience at Nick Alexander with my first Mini (the car was great but the sales and service experience was absolutely horrible) and as a result, was seriously considering NOT leasing a second Mini three years later. I decided to give another dealership a chance and I have to say I am glad I did. Anthony at Universal City Mini made the process so much less soul crushing than it was three years prior.
