Tried for three days to get a hold of the dealer about a
Tried for three days to get a hold of the dealer about a particular vehicle. They finally called me back and said that the vehicle is no longer on site yet it was still listed on the site. It was listed on cars.com as well as their private website.

Beware of dealerships practices and additional charges
Beware of dealerships practices and additional charges when financing-Deceptive practices and discrimination November 2023 an agreed amount to purchase was written and Financing approved at agreed Interest rate. When it came time to finalize the vehicle loan, Smart Chevrolet and its employees participated in a scheme to add on over $11,000 “for tax”. We are out of state buyers and are tribal and had already done homework on what we needed to do for tag and tax, once we disagree to the extra add on charge the dealership and its employees told us the already approved bank would not let us finance unless we agreed to finance the extra money and then the dealership would write us a check back but we had to finance this in. We were discriminated against for being tribal and were told financing was off the table and if we wanted the vehicle that we drove 4.5 hours and spent several days to acquire then we would need to pay cash. Smart Chevrolet in White Hall Arkansas admittedly stated they “do this all the time” they stated “the dealership has written checks back to consumers after financing extra money for many years”

diagnostic test
I took my 2017 Chevy Silverado in for a diagnostic test. The test should only have taken up to an hour. They kept my truck for 3 days. They did not call with a status update and was able to finally contact them and ask for my truck back. Would not recommend them for work on your vehicle.

The car salesman did not call us back on the car we wanted. That was very unprofessional. If we did not qualify the least he could have done was told us.

Stay Away
I typically purchase a new truck every year. This time (Jan. 2021) Smart GMC had the truck available i was looking for from my internet research so i called about purchasing and spoke to a salesperson. We agreed upon a cost and then is where the situation begin. I live 3.5 hours away from the dealership and had a medical appointment scheduled in the area the next day. This dealership WOULD NOT agree upon a deposit to hold for 24 hr. in which I would be close by so I offered to go straight to my bank and within a half hour wire transfer the entire amount which was over $55,000 dollars. They refused my offer to wire the money as well. Lets be clear the truck was still available to sell. The most interesting thing is the dealership didn't even have the truck yet for it was still on order from GM. The man responsible for this is John Freeman the Sales Manager. He insisted I had to be there in person and wouldn't even give the courtesy of holding the truck while I offered to drive 3.5 hours after the money wire. You would think with the Covid situation one could do a transaction over the phone. THIS DEALERSHIP EXPERIENCE WAS BY FAR THE WORST I'VE EVER BEEN APART OF. Stay away from this place. Management tactics such as this are a direct reflection of ownership.

An Enjoyable Experience
Bought my Acadia Denali 3 months ago at Smart and had a great experience then. This first oil change and tire rotation was quick, and they also addressed a minor problem that I had encountered by downloading a computer update while I waited - and quicker than they had told me. Comfortable waiting area and friendly folks.
