Terrible Customer Service
My wife and I have been here four times in the past, and still haven't test driven any of the cars we went to see; the most recent was Saturday around 9:30 - 10:00 am went to see a Mercedes; I saw an older gentleman point and send out a young man who came out and his first words "I don't know if anyone told you guys or not but we're by appointment only" We said we didn't know, he looked at the car? And said are you looking at this car; My wife answered, "Yes," and he asked, and do you want to test drive it? My Wife answered "Yes" Well, our next appointment is at 2:45 pm, and he gave us his card. I wanted to get the car for my wife, but he never asked where we were from, how far we drove, or anything. She had no interest after being treated that way repeatedly at this Car Dealer, I told her sometimes we know we have to swallow our pride and overlook the way we have been treated if she wanted the car, but she said she just preferred not to give them our money to pay them to treat us like that. And how were we to know it's by appointment only? I didn't see that information on Edmunds when I saw the advertisement, but we saw the ad earlier in the week and didn't have a chance until Saturday to go view the car.

I have to say that I am very disappointed in Volvo of Winston Salem. They seem to not want a customer to return to for service or to purchase another car. They require an appointment for sales and they aren't very accommodating to the working population. Now the service department is closed on Saturdays. That means those of us who work are not able to conveniently take advantage of their free lifetime oil changes, tire rotation, car washes and state inspections. I'm very disappointed with the ownership. Buyer beware. They used to be a great dealership, but it doesn't look good for the future.

Buyer beware! Terrible customer experience. Dealership encouraged me to sign documents quickly to lock in a car because they’re selling so quickly, but failed to mention AT ALL that the my deposit was not refundable if I changed my mind. Yes, it was in the paperwork, but a responsible and caring dealership would at least take the time to clarify that. This dealership never mentioned it once, so now I’m either out my deposit or have to buy a car I no longer want. Extremely shady business practices.

My Wife and I purchased a used vehicle nearly 4 months ago and have yet to receive the title. The dealership never said anything about there being an issue with the title. We found out about the issue from our insurance company. I met with the owner of the dealership, Rob Satter Sr, and asked to simply be given a refund. He told me to "take my place, to get in line and wait, and to get used to it." I can't believe someone would treat a customer like this. I hope no one else has the same experience that we are having so I encourage you to take your business elsewhere.

Well, we did again! Officially on my 6th Volvo (which means "I Roll" in Latin just in case you needed to know) from Volvo of the Triad. The Volvo team is absolutely amazing at knowing their jobs and the vehicles. I was greeted as if I were the only customer they ever had from Tom, Les and Chris. Chris Sellers is very knowledgeable of the vehicles and I was blown away by his kindness and professionalism. By the time I left, I felt as if we were related or at best "old friends." Don't let this young man leave as he is a real asset to the dealership. This family owned dealership is certain to make sure you are well-taken care of and leave with a vehicle of the finest quality. That is why, "I Roll" in my S60! Check 'em out!
The Best Customer Service
Today was a good day. We purchased our s90. The salesman Chris Sellers was excellent in information and very helpful with every question asked.Mr.Sellers was very personable. It actually felt like I was buying a car from a family member. I know he is a management material in the Volvo family. As soon as he becomes manager I will be back to buy another volvo. I would give them zero stars if I could. Sales is no substitute for service. They are rude, unkind and arrogant after multiple service blunders.
I want compensation. You promised me to deliver my car to Austin Texas and it took you a week and you delivered it to Dallas. Even worse than that, after pointing out multiple blunders you are rude to my wife and you owe her an apology. Yes, Les you owe her an apology.

Recently I took my 2016 XC 90 in for a service. I bought my SUV December 23, 2019. Currently my vehicle has 67,000 miles on it. I was called later in the day to be informed that I would need to pay for several weeks of testing to ultimately attempt to apply for goodwill money to replace my engine and pistons. However, there was no Guarantee that goodwill money would aid in this cost. I was extremely confused how could a car that is supposed to last for a lifetime (as Volvo states) already need an engine replaced at 67,000 miles? I was told in the service department that it was best to get out now. I was kindly shown other vehicle so that I could purchase a ticket price on the car. Not only would they not negotiate the price they would also not give me payoff for my current vehicle therefore leaving me with a higher car payment because of a problem with manufacturing aluminum engines. I was told to choose a 2018 or higher to avoid this problem in another vehicle I purchased. I was also told this happens to multiple cars but unfortunately it was not a recall yet. Therefore, I would be responsible for the charges. When leaving the dealership I was told if I chose to purchase a new car they would not charge me the diagnostic fee. Even though they couldn’t diagnose my car they were just going to run a series of test because they thought they knew the problem and needed to prove it. I have purchased in my lifetime two cars from Volvo of the Triad and my family five or six. It didn’t used to be like other car dealerships. At this point the luxury of a Volvo service does not exist. It is just a basic car dealership with no amenities for those that choose to be Volvo drivers. The oil changes for life do not include if there’s an issue with your car. I would highly advise choosing another vehicle especially if Volvo of the Triad cannot stand behind the ones they sell. I am extremely disappointed!
