As far as buying a car there, they were wonderful.
As far as buying a car there, they were wonderful. After that, everything changed. I needed to get the oil changed on it for the 1st time, so we drove it all the way over there from home on my day off. When getting there, they explain we have to make an appointment for an oil change and they are scheduled 2 weeks out. We drive all the way home then contact the Dodge dealership in Gallatin and they said yes, they would get it in and that we didn’t have to call. It’s first come, first serve there. I have bought many brand new cars from places and have never had to schedule an oil change to get them completed at the dealership. My car will be serviced at Gallatin from here on out and the next one I buy will be from Gallatin as well. If this had been the first dealing with them, I wouldn’t write this, but I had a recall on my car right after buying it that the service department was very confused about. I got transferred between several people trying to figure out how they could do it. I’m not even sure they did it right after it was taken to be fixed, but I hope so as it was a theft deterrent issue.

I recently leased a car from this place.
I recently leased a car from this place. I was referred here by someone my husband knew. I started working with Daniel. Everything was fine from ordering the Jeep and exchanging emails with Daniel at the beginning UNTIL someone named Renee started working on my case. This Renee person was just plain rude and totally unprofessional. When my email would not be answered for 3 days. I tried calling her extension for 2 days and left voice mail and she never returned any calls. When I called again, I asked the operator not to transfer me over to her extension. Then miraculously she picked up the call. She told me she never got any emails from me. That email address I used was written on her email signature! She just said, don't use that, use this.....and gave me another email address. nothing like sorry for the confusion or I don't use that email address or anything like that. She just said, NO, use this instead....then just gave another email address. I never complained about their services, I was simply trying to find out the next step to pick up the car! To make it clear, the car purchase date was in the very beginning of May and the check for the whole 3 year lease term lump sum payment was sent out and cleared within a few days from the purchase date and ALSO, I started paying for insurance from that date. The car was not released until the last week of June . This was not her fault. There were lot of paperwork to be prepared. So of curse I needed help with what to do next! She had the nerve to tell me that her team always tries their best to provide good pricing to their customers and THAT'S HOW I GOT SUCH A BIG DISCOUNT! One would think that I was bothering her to give it to me for free! Also, in her emails to me, she never addressed me....just typed in whatever she wants to say in the email body, that's it. No one does that to business clients! I was not bargaining on pricing and I was not complaining about services! It was all about her attitude, how rude she was and how unprofessional she was. Her email itself is just so unpleasant when I wasn't event arguing with her or complaining to her! I just don't see how she calls herself a sales person! Between my husband and myself and also 2 adult children, we have been leasing cars for at least 16 years using BMW, Mercedes, Nissan, Range Rover and Hyundai. I have never experienced anything like this. I just have never worked with anyone like her! I do see some great reviews here mentioning her name and I am totally speechless. What is going on? Is this some kind of discrimination, then? Before I end it, I do want to point out that Daniel was very quick, prompt and helpful and also an admin lady, Missy, who helped me with the paperwork was very nice and professional. Not everyone is horrible there.

Buyer Beware!
Buyer Beware!!!!! Depending on the sales rep you work with, Gupton Motors will charge you up to 500.00 if you ever logged onto the True Car website within 1 year of making a purchase at Gupton. My sales rep Walter Lee, charged me 500.00.This is a direct quote from Walter: “As far as TrueCar goes. If you haven't already applied for a TrueCar discount, DON'T. If you use TrueCar as a resource, TrueCar charges the dealership $500 per car sale (that's how they make money)”. Another sales rep there, Renee Berry said, and I quote “If you have signed up with TrueCar or have any bonus coupons associated with TrueCar the prices will increase $300”. The finance lady told me she didn’t even know what they charge. After several emails with Walter, I never truly understand they charge but was convinced it would be removed I decided to go ahead and order the vehicle. Now I could have raised problems in the finance office, but I was 700 miles from home and without a vehicle. The fact that I never intended to use True Car discount and no discount certificate was created for Gupton, I was charged anyway. After I got home I decided to take it up with management and sent an email to Daniel Gupton who on one site he was the owner and on another site said he was the general manager stating that Walter told and sent part of the emails from Walter claiming they would treat the charge like a rebate. Daniel Gupton would not even answer the email concerning this. I thought maybe it was a bookkeeping thing to show the extra charge. I asked Walter for a price comparison between invoice and MSRP pricing and was told that they don’t do that and refused to send me the information. I had another dealership do this for me without any hesitation and was able confirm that I was getting the invoice price. Renee was happy to give me the invoice price of the vehicle. I was promised 6% below invoice on my vehicle, that included the tread lightly discount, and Gupton financing option. For about a month Walter was stating that I could get a 7% discount, but after being told my Rene, for the GCL it is only 6%. Walter finally corrected himself. You can’t use the True Car discount and the tread lightly discount together but they will still charge you for the True Car fee. Kind of surprising because of my understanding, since tread lightly is an affiliate discount, FCA would reimburse the dealer. With the 500.00 up charge I actually got an approx. 5% discount. I contacted True Car and they seemed interested in knowing this was going on and had never heard of it. After several phone calls and emails, I finally realized that this was like putting the fox in charge of the hen house. They twisted my words and even acknowledged that I never got a discount certificate for Gupton Motors. They didn’t deny that they charge the dealership this much and Gupton never showed proof of the charge. I wouldn’t go against someone paying me 500.00 per car sale. Bottom line is this. Do not log onto True Car as it’s more of a hassle and not worth it to use this service and especially 1 year before going with Gupton Motors. At least get Renee Berry if you still decide to go with Gupton as your sales rep. I know that I will no longer use True Car and Gupton Motors in the future. I did give 2 stars as I got a decent price on the vehicle, just not the great price I was promised.

Wish I could give them zero stars! They are very quick to call you when it comes to buying a car, but not when they realize they have your registration... Gupton Motor Inc. put the wrong tags on my car in March 2021 and stuck the wrong registration in the clove box. Let's just say I had a fun Sunday morning with the cops! I called Gupton's after the incident with the cops and left a message. Monday morning I had not received a phone call from them, so I take it upon myself to call. I ask to speak with the person in charge and got sent straight to voicemail. Instead of the man in charge returning my phone call it was the salesman that mixed the tags/registration. He acted like it was my fault. He said, "Well I have your tags right here in my hand." Why in the world did you put the wrong ones on there. It makes no sense to me if they realized they had my tags why I never got a phone call from them as they have had them for about 9 months now! I finally talked to whomever was in charge and he was so kind to give me a sorry it's just a human error. Yes as it is a human error you need to put a better process in place so this does not happen to someone else, such as: double checking the information before putting it on the vehicle or contacting someone when you realize you still have their tags.
