Misdiagnosis costing $1000+ after towing & rental

While traveling in western ky for work my truck didn’t start, AAA third party company came and attempted to jump and check battery and in their opinion it was a starter issue. Had vehicle towed to patriot Chevy and relayed info I had. Took them 3 days to look at it and they just replaced the battery and said it was fixed. For 2 month I drove without issue and then SAME EXACT PROBLEM returned while I was traveling again. Solution was a new starter which was the original opinion of myself and AAA. After 2 rental vehicles, 2 tows, a unneeded battery, and a new starter, I’m out over $1000…Called patriot Chevy to make things right and was told I was SOL. Do not recommend going to this dealership if you’re an out of towner.

Bad Deal

First I live in Bowling Green I pass many dealerships on my way here . I bought a F150 from this dealership in Oct 2020 very happy with Cortez he was great and happy with my deal ,got a 3.3% very happy. Then on Saturday July 23rd 2022 went back found something we would wanted to buy a 2022 GMC Terrian the first price given to me was valued the vehicle at over $57,000 .I said would not do that ,so we haggled some and agreed on a price and I was told during this time with my credit my interest rate should be 3-5% on the high side nothing else was mentioned this took about 4 hrs so when we where signing the paperwork I ask again about my rate I was told 5.99%. I ask why so high and the response was everything has went up. And you can refinance in a couple of months. So I went to the bank on Monday walked in 5 minutes later 2.99% that’s half in finance charges and I knock 1 yr of payments off the loan that saves me $6,240 plus $4,000 in interest. This is my take, my loan with their finance company should have came in about 3-3.5% I think they get the other 2% for them they keep saying you can refinance in a couple months. I taking after that they receive kick backs. Why would I have to go thru the trouble or refinancing when I can get it right on day one . I understand business and you got to make money,and I was told during the deal “I can replace a car but I can’t replace a customer “ you will this one,I have a very bad taste in my mouth and I will not recommend this dealership or the Crenshaw Group to anyone. I am happy with the vehicle’s I got but there are to many dealerships that don’t do business like this.

Took my vehicle to them to sell to them, my wife and I

Took my vehicle to them to sell to them, my wife and I agreed with the salesman on a price , when the salesman returned with the paperwork for us to sign they were going to give us $1000 less than we had agreed on, he said that this price difference was a "sales tax". Firstly, seller's do not pay a "sales tax", secondly, if a dealer purchases a vehicle from an individual, the dealer does not pay a sales tax on something that they buy for resale. Total scam and I'm sure they have used this same ploy on other unsuspecting individuals. Would not recommend doing business with this dealership at all!!!!

I did not omit any information, I made that post before I was told it was not a sales tax. I was then told that it was a processing fee that I would have to pay for Patriot Chevrolet to process the paperwork for purchasing my vehicle. The $1000 processing fee was never mentioned when we came to an agreement on the price for my vehicle, it was not mentioned until after the salesperson came back with the paperwork to purchase the vehicle from me. Bottom line, Patriot Chevrolet was not going to give us the price that they agreed with us on.

Rip offs

Salesman lied to me from the get go. Gave me half what my trade in was worth and over charged me by 7000 at least for the car I purchased. Promised an extended warranty and did not deliver that either. Told me the radio was bluetooth, it's not. Do not go here. The finance guy, Nate told me the 8+ percent was the best I could get. Funny a month later my daughter got 3.49 percent based on my credit. Rip-offs all the way around.

After cancelling my extended warranty with Easy Care that...

After cancelling my extended warranty with Easy Care that I did not sign up for, Patriot Chevrolet, Nate Henry Finance Manager has avoided me and has not refunded the extended warranty check from Easy Care. Easy Care refunded the dealership July 10, 2021 and it is now February 8, 2022. Patriot Chevrolet is a Sleazy run business. Do not purchase anything from them.

Pleased

Typical stealership. These guys are liars. My dad...

Typical stealership. These guys are liars. My dad unfortunately trusted these guys. They gave my dad approximately $4000 less than fair trade in value for his truck and charged him approximately $5000 more than fair dealer price for the used truck he bought….all based on KBB numbers. Don’t trust these guys and be sure to do your homework.

An absolute con and embarrassment to be called “Patriot”...

An absolute con and embarrassment to be called “Patriot” lied, denied and avoided responsibility. Stay away from this dealership. They target young soldiers and sell vehicles without even checking them. Deception began with test driving a grey vehicle with upgrades then realizing the car on the paperwork was a white base model not previously seen. To much regret, after some spiel given, the white one was purchased in April of 2021 and low and behold, the engine failed a short time later. Now we understand why this one was pushed over the other one. Come to find out through paper trail that the car had needed a new engine in March 2021, one month prior to purchase. It was evident it had not gone through a thorough inspection prior to the sale or it would have been discovered. The tires were also so bald that Firestone would not let the vehicle leave until all 4 were replaced. The car has had issues from day one and in and out of the shop to be fixed! The team are rude when you try to communicate with them, calling us liars and avoiding responsibility and the general manager never returns your call even after several attempts to contact him or setting a time to see him in person. He manages to have “left the office” at a convenient time. He has no plan to set this right. The vehicle is deemed inoperable after just a few months and still owe in excess of $20k! They just don’t care!! We will be filing a complaint with the BBB, the military installations to warn other soldiers and possibly further. This is absolutely unacceptable!

Hello Gene, Please reply to the email sent from Alan or call him. Your offer to pay half for an engine that was deemed junk prior to sale is not fair when it him $5.5k more in debt which makes the car close to $30k. Absolutely not worth it! He paid over $20k for a car, it should have a working engine and I do not feel this is an unreasonable expectation. We also would like to know why he was sold easy care that he cannot use and financed Gap addendum that is against the military lending act. If you wish to discuss this call or reply to the email. Friendly PSA: DO NOT PURCHASE A VEHICLE HERE!! They will sell you a $25,000 vehicle with transmission issues and will not disclose or fix said issues. They will claim to fix the issue even if it is an entire transmission and then not. They will ignore your phone calls and emails, and will say “let me get with ___ and call you back”,.. but will not call you back. Seriously TRASHY customer service.
