Don Franklin Nissan Columbia is horrible!

Don Franklin Nissan Columbia is horrible! How long does it take to spot rust on a truck? 10 seconds. That's how long it took me to spot a complete rust bucket. Before you consider purchasing from Don Franklin Auto Group, you should understand that they think you are stupid, I traveled over 1,000 miles round-trip and spent over $1,000 to find out that I was lied to, period. This truck was in the possession of Don Franklin Auto Group for about 3 months and I can say this with absolute certainty; Don Franklin and company either knowingly attempted to cover up a crazy amount of rust by painting the wheels, under carriage, running boards and even the bloody fog lights, or they are absolute fools - and I don't think they're fools! Again, I spotted substantial rust inside of 10 seconds and I am NOT an auto sales professional. Someone didn't even bother to remove the thousands of protruding rust bubbles before they painted over it, therefore, attempting to trick consumers into purchasing a vehicle that, in my opinion, is less than safe to drive! It gets worse - Peggy Moss, the sales person, assured me that there was NO RUST and she even sent me selectively angled, and out-of-focus photos to prove that there was no rust, before I solidified my travel plans. I have plenty of evidence via photos. I have no problem with David Powell, the sales manager, as he seemed quite stunned himself. It is simply unfathomable, however, that Don Franklin Auto Group, and the numerous automobile sales professionals employed within, had this vehicle for THREE MONTHS and had no clue that this truck had a truly pitiful cover-up attempt of so much rust! It is my humble opinion that Don Franklin Auto Group must have tried to cover up all of that rust themselves and just assumed that we, their patrons, are just stupid. Can y'all tell that I'm angry? I'm just getting warmed up here.

This issue has gone unresolved with zero effort for over six months now and I'm still out a lot of money (flight, truck rental, hotel, loss of work, etc.) What a horrible experience with a very dishonest dealership. Do NOT trust them!

The process was so easy from start to finish.

The process was so easy from start to finish. DJ was awesome to work with. I got exactly what I wanted & he made sure he explained everything. I absolutely love my midnight edition Murano! It's beautiful!! Thank you Nissan at Columbia!

Car buyer

Excellent service and professionalism from start to final process. Mr. Pinkel was very thoughtful and professional during the whole process. His experience and knowledge of the process was evident 100 percent of the time. I would highly recommend him and commend all involved in the process of finding the right vehicle and right deal for myself and my family.

my dream car

i found my dream car at this dealership. it took me about a week to get up there from just outside nashville tn. where i live. when i got there, the car was beautiful. david treated me like a king and was an amazing salesman. but the dealership will never get my business again. first of all, i didnt like the wheels on the car and they changed them for me, which was awesome of them. but i bought a car with 15k miles on it, with bald tires on the back. they changed the wheels and tires and left bald tires on it after i drove 103 miles one way to buy the car. like i said, the car had 15k miles on it. the oil change was due at 9k miles in 2016. so i had to get an oil change on my new car before i got home. 2 tires had 31 psi air in them one had 38. one had 33, which what they all were supposed to have. and they just put them on that morning. very poor dealership. very poor service dept. david the salesman was the only good part of this experience. i love the car but i shouldnt have had to buy 2 tires and an oil change on a $22.5k car. i would not recommend this dealship.

2015 Toyota Tacoma with FLOOD DAMAGE

Bought a 2015 Toyota Tacoma from this dealership. Drove from Knoxville to get it. Buyer Beware - make sure you ask for the CarFax. I bought this truck assuming it was in good condition. Big mistake. Cosmetically the truck was OK. When I got it home i found flood debris under the windshield washer reservoir and severely corroded screws everywhere. There was water in the right headlight assembly. All the pulleys on the front of the engine are corroded and several brackets will need replacing. The truck runs fine now that I've changed all the fluids. I had to have the tires Road Force balanced as well - another $100. Avoid buying used from this dealer.

Fixed new car bought from 1 of their other lots

Took car and did everything other lot said they'd do but didn't. Even found and repaired things that were wrong and kept me up to date! David is an awesome guy and the service team goes well beyond!

Very pleased with our experience!!!

This dealership went above and beyond. They met us in another state, driving several hours and did not charge outlandish prices to do it. Everything from start to finish was top notch.
