Purchased a certified pre-owned Mazda product from a different Mazda dealership. The car has a little over 50,000 miles on it. The powertrain warranty is 100,000 miles. The vehicle developed a powertrain issue. Duncan Mazda claimed the issue was not covered under my powertrain warranty and would cost between $5,000 and $6,000 to fix. They wouldn't contact Mazda directly to explain the situation. I spoke with the owner of Duncan Mazda. Here was his main point to me: "Your problem is, you didn't buy the car from me." It gets better. I decided to take the car to Modern Automotive in Christiansburg, VA. If I'm going to pay someone to do the work, it will be someone I trust. They inspected the vehicle, purchased the parts needed from the Mazda dealer in Roanoke, and fixed the car for $3500. As it turns out my front CV Joints that Duncan claimed were leaking and needing replacement, were actually in near perfect condition! Someone at Duncan was trying to rip me off. I will never take a vehicle to Duncan Mazda again. Be careful with these folks!

Great Experience
Our experience with Duncan was nothing short of excellent! My son's car broke down and Emma and Gerry McCann took great care of him, even loaning him a truck to get home for the wkend!! Lots to this story but he found a vechicle there, at a great price. I would def recommend this dealership and Emma was great to work with. If you need a vehicle, please stop by and look around.

Good Start Bad End
OUT OF STATE PURCHASE. I had a great experience with the salesperson Ty, and the manager that helped at the end, but every single moment after that has been the worst. I didn’t receive my license plate in the mail, like they told me. I waited 3 months and it was so hard to get the lady Martha to help me because she was so unresponsive. And it was so hard to get a hold of her, only to have to go to the DMV (spent 8 hours at the DMV btw because of messed up paperwork that THEY sent in) after 3 months on expired temporary tags because I was waiting on my plates. Like they told me. Then she tells me I have to go to the DMV because they had my paperwork the whole time. So.... Why wait 3 months? Why send me so many temporary tags? That made no sense. It felt like she was making me go through all of that for no reason. I don’t understand. I know that it’s hard to know how every state works, but if you’re selling a car to someone living in another state, do your research. You do yourself and your customers a GREAT disservice and now I have a BADDD taste in my mouth, and feel the need to leave this review. I’m so frustrated. AND!!!!!!!!!!!! After all of that was done, I thought I was free. Only to have the same woman email me 8 MONTHS LATER about a mistake THEY made on my title. Now I have to deal with issues surrounding my car YET AGAIN. And I don’t even trust that this will be the last of it.

2010 Suburban 2500...shady shady
First...pricing...$22,945 on their website, $20,950 on cars.com, $24,500 on their lot...second carfax VIN indicate LS trim, but it has full leather which is only available on LT trim...third...online photos appear photo shopped...obvious rust on passenger fender where paint chipped along the seam with the front bumper, rust bubbling through on driver's door jam along rocker, concealed by a rubber kick panel, rust along the fender wells concealed by aftermarket chrome trim chrome ...not present in pics, in fact if you look closely at the pictures it appears to have been altered to conceal the obvious bare metal that is rusting, along with paint fading on molding on the front doors....plastic on gauge cluster cracked and a piece missing...2500 Suburbans are generally hard to come by but the pricing is very high and three different advertised prices??? Vehicle was not any where near close to the condition represented on both cars.com and their own website. I went there prepared to buy it, having already been to my credit union, but after seeing it in person...nope...explains why they've had it on their lot over 4 months...3/17/20 to 07/24/20...they have other vehicle with shady car fax info...like second owner kept a Ford P/U for one month then car fax shows wiring harness replaced...what's that about??? As I told the salesman, nice kid, disappointed to see non name used car lot tactics at a main line dealership. shop with caution.

Don’t do business here!
We found a truck online. Made an appointment and let them know I was coming from another state to purchase. Drove 2 1/2 hours. The salesman called to verify that I was coming I said yes we are only 1 1/2 hrs more away he verified the address. I got 20 min from the dealership he called me that they sold the truck. Don’t make the mistake I did! Steer clear of this dealership!

Scot, Thank you for the feedback and fully understand your frustration. The staff informed me of what happened in your situation and we sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. This was a classic case of bad timing and another client that looked at the same truck days before your inquiry decided to pursue a purchase of the truck. Appreciate your feedback to which will make the management team more aware in the future. If you would like to discuss this further, feel free to contact me directly at 540-552-4331. David P. Duncan, General Manager.
A bunch of scam artist
I know this will be the last time we purchase a vehicle from Duncan. We traded for a 2010 Ford F250 Xlt diesel. And it has been nothing but a headache there has been no maintenance done to it as far as fuel filters plus I has to replace the starter, water pjmp, and now I found out it was sold with a blown head gasket. Never again will I go here or recommend to anyone else

Real review REAL me
Somehow there has been a review posted by supposedly me... This is NOT the case... I have known the general manager of this dealership most of my life... the sales process was easy, the salesman was a Delight to work with. He went above and beyond to try to get the car financed... We worked out a compromise that I would guarantee the vast majority of dealerships would not work out... this is an excellent dealership and people to deal with from MY experience...ANYONE who States or posts otherwise... Whether REAL or to elicit a reaction... Has never dealt with this dealership or has an axe to grind... The customer service was excellent... We were treated with respect and honesty up front... From beginning to end... I have no issues recommending the dealership to anyone... if you need a dealer that is willing to work and go the extra mile and truly earn your business... This is the one

No additional pictures
Good communication at first, but when I asked for additional pictures I received no reply and no pictures. I have not found the vehicle I am looking for yet, but would contact them again.

Not the best deals around
Looked at a Toyota Tundra after starting with the smaller Tacoma ( had to see them up close to get an idea of size). They were pretty rigid on their prices even though they were, in my opinion, significantly higher than prevailing prices. Ex. They stayed thatbthe 2026 Tundra had ? just been reduced to $39.9k with 17k miles). I left the dealership and three was later it was priced at $35k!!! If it was closer to $30k, I?d hv bought it! Anyway, ended up buying a 2015 for $27 k from Atlanta. When I took out a loan at the bank the lady said she bought her car from R to buy cars at reasonable dice.Good customer service but not for the best deals.

My purchase
I found the vehicle I wanted, contacted the dealership for information and made an appointment. A few days later I drove down, checked out the car with the helpful salesman, Scott and came to an agreeable price. the process went quite smoothly.
