We purchased a car while living out of state. We found the sales and finance people to be poorly trained in the process for buying and delivering a car to North Carolina. We would not buy an out of state car again. They kept us poorly informed, sent us an incorrectly completed MCO so we could not register the car, we had to keep calling and texting to get things done or information. There is no way to contact the General Manager of the dealership, you get a voicemail and no response to a message left. It may be a different situation if you lived locally, but we were completely frustrated.

RIGHT TITLE, WRONG CAR.
RIGHT TITLE, WRONG CAR. During 2024-2025, I helped my son and grandson purchase cars from Hyman Bros dealership in Midlothian. The second purchase was with my grandson who had saved enough money to share the purchase of his first car with me on March 15, 2025. He proudly drove what he thought was his new Versa off of their lot. On April 11, 2025 almost a month later we were informed by his salesperson, Joseph Sanders, that Hyman Bros. dealership had given us a Versa but not the car that matched our title. Our car which we had promptly insured was still on their lot. So for almost a month, my grandson unknowingly drove an uninsured & untitled Versa. And what did we receive as a gesture of goodwill from Kris Williams, Manager, Hyman Brothers? No apology, no compensation except an offer of floor mats & a tank of gas for their incompetence with the right title but wrong car plus arrogance & threats from Mr. Williams when we tried to resolve. Don’t waste your time buying a car from Hyman Bros.

Don't buy a car from them. There only goal is to be good to you and then once the deal is done you can't get anything from them. Brought a 2023 Kia Sorento end of 2023. Brand new. After 5k miles the check engine light came on. Called the general manager and left a voicemail. Instead of him calling me back he got a service person to call me back. I wasn't even in town. I was out of town for my mother in laws death and was stuck in North Carolina. Also as of today my car isn't fully registered in my state of Maryland. I contacted the sales manager to advise I have taken care of my end and about the check engine light and my mother in laws death. No reply since March 27. No sorry for your loss or anything regarding me saying my check engine light being on. This my 2nd car from this dealership. Never again. Go to the dealership that cares about the customer not just a dollar.

Stay away from this Midlothian location! They sold a Kia with 0 mileage(supposedly). The motor had oil leaks constantly. The owners were notified, as well as the service and sales. manager. They were all careless, unprofessional and condescending. Stay away from this place. You've been warned!! I was suggested to call DJ Behm (supposed owner). I just hung up with him, and the conversation was useless. Hyman Bros sold a 2019 Kia Optima with supposed 0 miles with a bad motor. There were complaints about the oil consumption in the first few weeks after purchased, and their service department suggested that this was normal. Now you want me to reach out to Kia directly, when your service department should've handled this in the very beginning. It is very clear that Hyman Bros is not an honest reputable company with integrity. I also reached out to DJ Behm and other affiliates weeks ago via email, and they purposely chose NOT to respond. This company does not take responsibility for their faultiness, and I will continue broadcasting their unprofessionalism and scams to everyone possible! As I stated in my earlier post...... PEOPLE STAY AWAY FROM HYMAN BROS. THEY ONLY CARE ABOUT TAKING YOUR MONEY!!!! FYI, the responses from "the owner" are simply xxxxxxto make people think that they want you to call their office to rectify issues. The owner has no intent on helping you. He just puts the responses out so it appears that he's diligent with customer resolution. DJ Behm IS NOT WILLING TO ASSIST AT ALL! This place is a scam in every way! Don't allow the smiles and kind words fool you!!!

Awful service
They suck up to you when you purchase a car. And then they just suck. Charged twice for an installation of a car part. Took weeks to get reimbursed. They never titled my trade in and I had to pay personal property tax on a car that I no longer owned. Called and emailed multiple times and never got a response. It is currently 12:04 pm, I had a 10 am appointment for an oil change. Will never buy another car here. Awful service.

Not an honest place to do business.
Bought a Kia part online from them. Their web site assured me this part fit my year, make, and model. It did NOT fit. Not even close! I had to pay to return it then this stealership charged me a restocking fee, despite that I was proven right and they admitted it. Good reviews are just people who didn't realize the deal they got.
