Can't keep a schedule

Booked online for an 8 a.m. appointment to have an oil change. Received several emails confirming the appointment date and time. Drove from Lake Ozark to Camdenton this morning and the service manager told me that my appointment was for 8:30 not 8 am. Showed him the email confirmation but all I got was "sorry the system is sending our wrong times lately" Asked for my car back and came home to look for another place that can keep an appointment time.

Jason Carr...great service!

A few weeks ago we had hail damage. Jason got our car inspected quickly and then got it repaired a few days later...and it only took 7 hours. Also, I was given a loaner car to use for the day. Excellent job!

Vehicle Misrepresentation

I responded to an ad on the Cars For Sale site for an 1981 Jeep CJ5 offered for sale by Hulett Motors in Camdenton Missouri. I had numerous emails and telephone conversations with the sales consultant Jon Liou concerning the condition and driveability of this vehicle. The Jeep being sold had no rust on the frame, no problems mechanically and to quote one email “ this is not a project jeep”. It was the fact that the vehicle was being sold by a GM dealership that prided itself on its 50 year history of sales and service that convinced me to go ahead with the purchase. I purchased the jeep on April 4th 2018 for $5000.00 which was a good price based on the information I was supplied and assumed to be accurate. I asked for service records for the vehicle and was sent a copy of a Missouri Motor Vehicle Inspection Approval Notice. This was issued when the jeep was traded in at the dealership in June 2017 and the mileage was 34 miles less than when I purchased it. The notice was issued by Hulett Motors as an inspection station and stated no defects. When I finally got the vehicle in my possession and to my mechanic for a safety inspection is when its true state became apparent. The brakes needed a considerable amount of work to meet the minimum inspection guidelines. The most devastating part was the amount of rust on the jeeps frame. An inspection by a body shop to patch the problem areas came back as a total frame failure. I sent Jason Hulett ( dealership owner) this information and was told that "the vehicle was sold as is" and "the price it was sold at made it VERY competitive in the market." He also said "the Jeep was fully inspected by our GM certified technician and fully passed the requirements set forth by the state of Missouri to pass inspection". This statement itself does not support the “as is” classification he is saying the vehicle was sold under. He would not answer for the fact that his dealership had been dishonest about the vehicle condition to make a sale and issued a passed inspection notice. I am now having to have the frame replaced at a cost equal to the selling price of the jeep to make the vehicle roadworthy. Further communication with the dealership owners has been ignored. This dealership needs to be accountable for its misrepresentation of the vehicle condition and for the questionable Missouri Motor Vehicle Inspection Approval Notice it generated in house.

Made a Great Deal!

I worked with Jonathan Liou to purchase my car. We primarily communicated via e-mail to work out the details. I found Jon to be friendly and the dealership to be fair and reasonable in making a deal. In all the process was about a stress free as could possibly be. I would absolutely look at Hulett when I am in the market for a new or used car again.

Great Service and Great Advice

My truck was leaking coolant and accordingly, my heater stopped working correctly. Hulett Automotive not only fixed the leak, but offered suggestions on how to keep this situation from happening again. They were great.

The price agreed to was good based on the information I had believed to be accurate. I also have a copy of the Missouri Motor Vehicle Inspection Approval Notice issued by Hulett Motors as an inspection station stating no defects. He would not answer for the fact that his dealership had lied about the vehicle condition to make a sale and issued a passed inspection notice. I am now having to have the frame replaced at a cost equal to the selling price of the jeep, or sell the vehicle “as is” which it should have been advertised as initially. Do not trust this dealership to stand behind its sales and be wary of any certification generated in house.
