UPDATE: DONT GO HERE!
UPDATE: DONT GO HERE!!! I will be contacting the MO Department of Revenue, the Federal Trade Commission, the state's Attorney General's office and the BBB about Sapaugh scamming people!!! After this review, Trevor contacted me & said he wanted to make it right & that they will send someone to pick UP the car and get everything addressed. They had my car for about 5/6 days & during those days they were supposed to be addressing the AC/heat smell, a full detail & the brakes squealing. I was told they were replacing my brakes & rotors, turns out, they resurfaced them and refused to replace like they promised..they’re rusted to xxxx and squeal still. On top of that, when I picked my car up the smell was STILL there. They keep putting this fresh n clean stuff in my vents & throwing air fresheners under my seat. They didn’t detail it stating I “had too many things in my car” and the only thing there were 2 umbrellas. OH, THE BEST PART!!! MY CAR DIED SO I HAD TO BUY A NEW BATTERY YESTERDAY! I hate to be this person - but here I am. I was recommended Sapaugh from a long standing friend in my husband’s family. We came and test drove a bunch of cars, it took us a few hours to determine we didn’t like any, so we left. We came back the next day & we ended up really liking one, so we decided to buy it. We worked with Troy- who I have no complaints about at all. He was great - attentive, not pushy like other salesmen & truly tried hard to find us something we liked! The appraisal on my car I was trading in, took longer than he wanted so we took the new car home for the night. My car that I traded in had a bit of road rash on my rims & a little hail damage. Nothing critical, & I truly loved that car. After having the new car all day & night, we noticed there was a HORRENDOUS smell coming from the vents, but as the car cooled down & we drove it, it went away. It was an intermittent smell and I couldn’t pin point it. I detailed the car myself, cleaned it, washed it, etc. The light for the license plate in the rear was broken and just fell out as I loaded groceries and the trim on the driver side was loose. All seemed to be minor fixes. I had to have everything done by end of may because we left for vacation on 6/3 & I didn’t want to cross states with temp tags that would expire. Fast forward to current day, they only changed the air filter, sprayed some freshening thing in the AC and threw some air fresheners under my front seats. It NEVER went away. It got WORSE in the Florida heat!! They did some freshening thing for the AC and it only masked the smell. I spoke with Kaylee in service who stated they can do a detail. Annoyed as I am I agree because I want the smell GONE. I’m physically sick to my stomach from this smell every time I get in my car. She told me I could use their 24 hour dropbox and leave the key and park the car on the lot, for my appointment today @ 7:30 AM. I go down to Sapaugh last night at 9:00 PM to drop the car off for the appointment today. When I arrive, the lot is completely locked up. I can’t access anything and down the street to get to the back of the dealership are 5/6 cop cars arresting this lady. The policeman told me there have been a lot of thefts and leaving my car is not ideal and he would hate to see it towed, so I drove 35 minutes to just come back home with my car. Wasted time, wasted gas, wasted energy. I called this morning and speak with someone in service and she informed me that I have to pay for everything they were going to do today, even a diagnostic, when this should’ve been fixed the FIRST xxxx time by them - and wasn’t. She then tells me I would need to contact my salesman. As if I haven’t had to visit and call your dealership enough? IM DONE.

My experience working with Sapaugh was great!
My experience working with Sapaugh was great! Kirk was proactive in finding the Terrain I have been looking at for several months. The purchase process when smoothly. My son had a great experience with Kirk Linderer several months ago when looking for a preowned car and was disappointed that Sapaugh did not have a car he really wanted. He truly wanted to purchase a car from Kirk. Tieler Thomas and Kirk Linderer are great to work with.

The salesman Jim Haar was good to deal with.
The salesman Jim Haar was good to deal with. He was very knowledgeable about the car. As far as the dealership is concerned I feel that I was giving a good deal for my 2020 Buick. All the employees were very friendly and offered water while we were there waiting throughout the day. My only issue is that I bought the car June 7, 2025. I have not received the paperwork I need to get the title sent into the state. It will be one month on Monday, July 7. Almost 2 weeks ago my son contacted Jim and told him I had never received anything and he was going to check about it. Today when my son contacted him again because I do not have the paperwork I need they requested a copy of one of my other sons drivers license so they could do the GM point. On 67 my son who had GM point sent me a picture of his drivers license which Jim copied and gave to the man that does the paperwork. I was told I would receive the necessary paperwork within two weeks. Now here I am possibly going to be late and have to pay extra or a fine because I didn’t get to the DMV office to pay my state sales tax. They are supposed to overnight the paperwork but the holiday is here and I live in the country and even if someone overnight items I do not always receive them the next day. What happens if I’m sick on Monday, July 7 and can’t make it to the DMV office? If Sapaugh is that busy and can’t get the paperwork done in time to send to customers then they need to hire more help. I am very, very upset about this.
