Contacted Glockner Chevrolet in Portsmouth Ohio.
Contacted Glockner Chevrolet in Portsmouth Ohio. Was interested in ordering a New 2023 Corvette Stingray. Talked to Austin Howard a New Car Sales Person. He told me that they did not have any "allocations" to order a New Corvette, but might have one available on February 16, 2023. Austin Howard called me on February 16th to inform me that they did receive a Corvette Allocation for me to order a New Corvette Stingray 1LT.. I supplied Austin Howard the complete Chevrolet Website Corvette Ordersheet with all information on the car I wanted to order. I also supplied Austin with my latest FICO Credit Report Showing My Score of "806". Austin then informed me that Glockner Chevrolet needed a $10,000 Deposit. I asked Austin to see if he could please get with his Sales Manager to see if we could negotiate that hugh deposit as most dealers require $500 to $1,000 down. I never heard back from Austin after leaving phone messages, texts and emails. This Morning February 18th, I finally got a hold of Austin after I made another call to Austin at Glockner Chevrolet in Portsmouth Ohio. Austin informed me that someone from Kansas took "my allocation" and ordered a New Corvette Yesterday. I have been buying New Cars for 50 years and I have never been treated like this. Terrible Experience and I will NEVER EVER BUY another car from Austin Howard at Glockner Chevrolet in Portsmouth Ohio...VERY DISAPPOINTED

The Glockner organization apologizes for the experience that you had. We have required a $10,000 deposit on all New Corvette orders. Our previous customers have been more than happy to put the $10,000 deposit on their Corvettes. Yes, $10,000 is a lot of money, but we are not going to deviate from our company policy. You have missed the point of this post... When dealing with the customer you sir need to teach your "Team" the importance of returning the emails, the phone calls and the texts on a timely basis. Of the 2,903 New Chevrolet Dealers in the United States your "Team" has to be near the bottom in Customer Service... Update***As I set in Early Church this morning I was trying to figure out why Glockner Chevrolet in Portsmouth Ohio would not return my calls, texts, emails and sell this New Corvette Stingray "out from under me" to a Customer in Kansas as I am a Local Customer...It is all about the selling price! I was quoted MSRP Sticker Price for my new car. Then, I remembered that Glockner Chevrolet has a New White Corvette Stingray 2LT Coupe currently on their Showroom Floor with a "Price Adjustment" of $10,000 over the cars MSRP Price Sticker. It was never about the $10,000 Deposit that they required from me. They just wanted to sell this New Corvette Order Allocation for more money! Now it makes since why they would not return my calls, texts and emails...I understand profit, but $10,000 over the MSRP Price Sticker seems like a little much! I am going to contact Chevrolet Motor Division this morning for their comments on this shady business practice. Glockner Chevrolet in Portsmouth Ohio should be ashamed....
Gouge, they lost me as a future customer
Several months ago I ask about ordering a new car but was told can’t at this time. Got a call two days ago and was told one was on order. Went out to the dealer to see about buying the car and was told I would have to pay 10K over sticker. Told them no thanks and I would not be back. So much for them wanting to help the community. Mike

Purchased Chevy Traverse. Salesman very helpful and pleasant. Felt like we got a decent deal with our trade in. We had a time deadline to return home (1 hour away) and the staff worked quickly and efficiently to get our transaction completed. Our third purchase with them and very satisfied.

Glockner truck and trailer service is a rip off

Initially a good experience.
Initially I was pleased with my purchase. The salesman was very nice and seemed to be honest about the issue with the car. After the 1st night having the car I realized it had a substantial oil leak. Knowing the car had been on the lot for around 70 days he had to have known there was an oil leak. I’m not sure when or how I’m going to get it fixed since I spent all my money on the car.
