Bait and switch operation no truck available.

Bait and switch operation no truck available. Won't answer questions about the specific vehicle at all. High pressure data mining with repeated phone sales calls every day. "Just want to ask you a few questions... ". Gross.

Not too happy

I would have given them no stars if that was an option. The cars were all filthy and they were so packed in tight together you couldn’t even get between them to look at them. We had a very disappointing experience for an appointment they called a “V.I.P.” appointment. If they treat their “V.I.P.” customers as poorly as they treated us I’d hate to see how they treat their “regular” customers.

Made a 3:30 appt yesterday with Toothman Ford to drive a 2019 Jeep Grand Cherokee Limited and a 2014 GMC Yukon. Rep on the phone said before we left, “I’m pulling them both out front and they will be ready when you get here.” Took vacation day from work and drove from Charleston, arrived at 3:25 pm. Neither car is on the lot much less out front. In fact, the Jeep is in the repair shop and not available for the test drive. Yukon is grimy and filthy. Dried ketchup on some of the seats. Local sales staff explained that reservations are made by an off-site call center. Drew was very knowledgeable and helpful. Greeter caught us when we came in the door, offered us drinks and found Drew for us. It’s unfortunate for the great local staff that using the call center is impacting sales and causing customers like The Good Husband and me to go elsewhere.

I purchased a used F-150 truck from Toothman and Ford on

I purchased a used F-150 truck from Toothman and Ford on July 24th. I paid a substantial deposit, signed a sales agreement, and made arrangements to have the truck delivered to me on July 27th. On July 26thh, the salesperson called to tell me that the truck I purchased was sold. The dealership offered nothing other than a simple "sorry", and asked if I would be interested in a downgraded model of the same truck. In the meantime, I returned the vehicle that I had been driving and I must now wait to see if they return my deposit. This is an extremely untrustworthy dealership and I would encourage everyone to shop elsewhere.

Not good, unresponsive

I bought a used 2019 F-150. I had to wait weeks for the steering rack to be replaced in the vehicle, as no part was available. When the part was procured and installed I purchased the vehicle. I did not get under the vehicle to inspect the work. Imagine my surprise to find when I finally looked beneath the truck they hadn’t re-installed the cowling that runs under the entire front 1/3, of the truck. 1)“We never had it” A. I saw it hanging when I initially inspected the truck. B. It did not get ripped off in the past as all the bolt are removed and the undercarriage, like the rest of the truck, shows no signs of abuse. 2) It took 6 phone calls over 4 days to get a return call. A.The service guy said they never had it. B. The Sales manage said it was cardboard and felt and not necessary. C. Seems Ford makes junk parts/components and the techs just trash them Willy nilly 3) After the “we sold you a safe car” line my phone had a glitch the call dropped , no return call. Straight to voicemail with me. Not the quality or service I would expect from a dealership.

Can’t trust this dealer

Unfortunately, the online ad didn’t show all the damage on the vehicle. The internet dept tried telling me there was no damage, salesman provided me with incorrect information regarding the status of inspection done on that vehicle, and the finance manager has expressed no willingness to negotiate. Tried selling me 4x4 that had 3 different tires on it. This dealership has failed me as a client on all other fronts.

Don't buy Online - car sold just before you arrive

Terrible Experience. Wasted 8 hour round trip. Online search found a used vehicle we needed for a good price. Over the weekend contacted Toothman Ford. On Monday they said the vehicle was available. We set an appointment to the see the vehicle. Told them we're driving a long time. When we started the trip we called back and said we would be later than we thought and would they still be open at 5:30? Can we move our appointment for this particular vehicle to 5:30 or a little after. Told them it was a 3.5 hour drive. They said would be VIP, with an appointment just come inside and they'd be ready for us. Some sales guy on the lot shook our hands on the way in and said he would take us because he's the guy on the lot today. We told him we had an appointment to see that particular vehicle and he said he would go check on it's status. - No, hi, how was your trip, no, here's the restroom, nothing. Just, here's my desk wait here and I'll get back with you. Then he says sorry the vehicle was sold an hour ago. Then continued with flippant remarks where the words say he's sorry and understands but nothing in the voice or manners show any remorse or real concern. Not even, hey I see you've had a long trip, can I get you a coke or anything. And then a scolding voice saying, we don't hold vehicles for anyone here, it's first come first serve. Well, when we talked on the phone those 2 times before we got there, someone sure could have told us that making an appointment for the vehicle doesn't mean anything. Could we have made a down payment to hold the vehicle? We'll never know. They had our phone number - could have texted or called us to let us know the vehicle had been sold. Instead of getting home after 10 pm, we could have been home by 8:00. We both took a day off from work to buy this vehicle - and I get a flippant Sales guy? No manager types in sight. No way to know if the vehicle had been sold an hour before we got there or if the vehicle was ever on the lot. No Courtesy. Flippant Attitude. With the internet is easier to find vehicles farther away. But there's not point in driving hours to Toothman Ford for an online vehicle. It won't be there when you get there. Cross them off my list.
