I tend to dread the car buying process for a variety of

I tend to dread the car buying process for a variety of reasons. I was able to do a lot of research online and shared my plan with the team at North Star and not once did I feel pressured to make a decision or speed any part of it up. I feel that my wishes and requirements were respected and the overall process was really smooth. I really respect that I wasn't badgered and harassed about buy-ups in the Finance office when I was signing everything as I have been at one of your competitors in the past. I listened, gave my response, and we moved on. If more dealers were up front and honest about this stuff, as North Star was, this wouldn't be a notoriously hated process to go through!

I had a great experience buying my first car from

I had a great experience buying my first car from Northstar. I was contacting Mario through email prior but he was previously engaged and Blake jumped right in to make sure I was taken care of. My mom and I had a great time chatting away with Blake and Angela all throughout the test drive and financing. The 2015 Nissan Sentra was in beautiful condition and they had already put in so much work to make sure it was in perfect driving condition and even handled a part that had a recall on it. I couldn’t have wished for a faster or smoother buying process, can’t recommend them enough !

So glad to have our service transferred to Kelly

So glad to have our service transferred to Kelly Chevrolet, as per the GM higher management. They were actually appalled at what has transpired at North Star . The service department there is a joke and very demeaning to women in general. My husband has purchased several gmc trucks from Northstar. His HD Denali was leaking in the back window and when replaced, they scratched the truck, the window, and left a ghastly caulk line all around the back window...which is still leaking. Yes, my husband is meticulous with his vehicles, but with the price that is being paid...a certain quality is expected. When I picked up my husband's truck and asked why it was parked extremely close to another vehicle...I could not even open the door to get in..."Will" rolled his eyes at me, chuckled, did not even answer my question, and stomped off to move the truck. I would not send my worst enemy to Northstar for any service. It is such a shame because the sales department works so hard. But unfortunately sales are nothing if there isn't a service department willing to back up the product. Take your business elsewhere!

Poor service

Service department has very poor customer service. Even after being told that my insurance is paying for windshield replacement they charges an extra fee after the insurance reimbursement

After having a previous bad experience I gave them

After having a previous bad experience I gave them another opportunity to work on my truck. I needed to replace my windshield so I took it to the shop and then called my insurance company. I called the dealership before anything was billed to let them know my insurance was going to cover it. The dealership then charged me an extra service fee for calibrating the windshield in addition to the charge for the windshield replacement

Raked over the coals.

I bought the vehicle from them and was told it was never in an accident. Later I found out that it was and had to be towed. The truck had a bad brake vibration on the way home. I was told to bring it back in to have them repair the problem. I love 111 miles away. When I had an opportunity to stop in they told me that they would not honor their commitment to repair it. Bad enough that they lied to me about "no accidents" but not honoring a brake issue.

Was told no accidents truck was wrecked.

Was told no accidents truck was wrecked. Brake problem. Wouldn't fix the problem. I live 111 miles away. When I had an opportunity to stop they would NOT honor there commitment to fix it.

They hid vehicle was in a wreck from me!

I purchased a truck from them and was told "no accidents" . One month later I found out that it was in an accident and had to be towed! Idrove over 100 miles one way to ask them to compromise with me. I even offered to purcase a different vehicle from them! I picked out a vehicle that was roughly $10,000 less that's right less! They came back with wanting me to pay yep me pay them $850.

Was an overall excellent experience at North Star Buick GMC. Even when we had to go back there because of a mess up with paper work. They made it worth our time to go back there to resign 2 papers
