Great Customer Service
They made the buying process easy and really listened to what we wanted. We drove away in a new vehicle, very satisfied with our experience.

By Far the Worst Dealership I've Ever Visited
In all my years of owning a multitude of vehicles I have never experienced a more inept, slimy group of individuals than at Husker Auto Group. We purchased a 2010 BMW X5 in December, 2012. When we purchased this vehicle we were very specific about wanting a car with absolutely no damage history and in immaculate condition. The response we received from salesman Bill Chapman was that this vehicle had all the features we wanted, had no damage history and was in great condition. We looked over the car, negotiated a price and trade in value. Our first clue that something was awry should have been when the first round of paperwork was presented and our trade in was listed at $1000 less than agreed upon. Catching that issue and presenting the correct numbers, we signed the paperwork and drove away. Four months later the backup camera works only intermittently and we notice a leak on our garage floor and take the X5 back into the dealership for inspection. They found the oil cooler and radiator to be leaking. Though we thought this to be odd with a car that only had 45,000 miles, it was repaired under factory warranty. The dealership also replaced the wiring harness to the review camera system. A couple months and a few thousand miles later I get a notification that the engine oil is a quart low. Add oil immediately or risk damaging the engine. I found an auto supply store off the interstate and poured in a quart. Again, I thought this to be a strange thing to have happen to a BMW with 52,000 miles on the odometer and began to have my suspicions about the vehicle. A few months later at 62,000 miles the A/C stops working on a 90 degree day and the car overheats and shuts down, leaving my wife stranded on the side of the road. We let the vehicle cool and limp it home. I call Husker and get the car into the shop the next morning. My wife and I are now convinced the car we were sold was not what we were told we were buying. We read the reviews and overall history of this model and had yet to see anything that would hint at such issues. Husker informs us the X5 needs a new water pump, the A/C system needs new seals and recharged and the engine has a crank seal leak (which explains the low oil alarm mentioned above). Plus the car needed brakes, rotors, an oil change, spark plugs, fuel injection flush and decarbon service. I have no issue with replacing the brakes, rotors, plugs and an oil change as those are consumable items with any vehicle. However, when we received the laundry list of major mechanical failures we began to talk with other dealerships about trading off the vehicle. We were then informed by these other dealers that our X5 had been in an accident prior to our purchase, though this certainly explains the plethora of problems we had with this vehicle. We brought this to the attention of BMW North America and received nothing more than an "I'm sorry about your experience but there is nothing we can do". We also brought this to the attention of Bill Chapman at Husker BMW. After noting that we were extremely upset with the problems we'd been having with the vehicle and that we were sold a vehicle that had been in an accident when we were assured it hadn't, we wanted our problems addressed and this issue solved. After a few days of phone calls and emails the best offer he makes is to give us marginally more ($500-1000) for our car on trade-in than what other dealers were offering. Since this obviously doesn't solve the problem that we were sold a damaged car as one that was damage free I began to leave voicemails with the latest general manager, Robert Knowles. I receive absolutely no response until I make it clear that I will not be returning the loaner vehicle they provided until our problem is solved. I finally receive a call from Mr. Knowles. During the first few minutes of the conversation he is absolutely livid. I receive statements of "you can't hold my loaner car hostage", "this (keeping the loaner) is costing me money and inconveniencing my customers" and "either you return the car by tomorrow morning or I will report it as stolen and have you arrested". Keep in mind these are quotes coming from the MANAGING PARTNER who had been avoiding my phone calls for days. These quotes are also directed at a CUSTOMER who simply has a problem he wants solved. I ended up having to be the one to calm down an irate GM when, in all practicality, as the customer who was sold a vehicle under false pretenses I should be screaming at him. He finally calms down and suggests that they (he and Bill) put together a "smoking deal" on something different. I agree to listen to their ideas over the next couple days. A few more emails back and forth with Bill over the following days results in the best "smoking deal" they will provide is simply a few hundred more for my X5 on trade than what I had been quoted by other dealers. They will also offer $500 off another vehicle on their lot. I would still be responsible for $2000 of maintenance fees plus all the miscellaneous doc fees and such. I receive absolutely no acknowledgement of the fact that they both sold me a lemon and sold me a vehicle that had an accident history as one that had no damage whatsoever. I am now stuck with a car that I don't trust to make it 50 miles down the road, let alone on a family road trip. Never before in my life have I had more problems with a vehicle and a dealership.

Great Service
We had an overall great experience at Husker Auto Group. Although they were going through renovations, they made us feel comfortable and at home with our salesman. They were not pushy and listened to our needs. It ended in a successfull buy on our part.

Tom's team is repairing factory defects on the coating on the frame of my 2013 Sierra Pick Up. The frame has rust marks because the coating material on the frame is pealing off.

These guys take advantage of everyone!
I took my 2005 Chrysler 300 into them to sell because I am a father of three that desperately needed money. I was first offered 9000 on Kelly Blue Books instant quote offer from them but when I get there Husker Auto ran another quote and dropped it down to 7000. Unfortunately I needed money bad so I sold my car to them after I was told I would not got more then that anywhere else because of the accident history. (My "accidents" consisted of a hit and run in the mall where someone backed into my bumper while I was inside which I had fixed by them right away because I had full coverage and didn't want my baby to look bad. The other "accident" was during this winter in which a snow drift cracked the front bumper because the car sits so low. I quickly had this fixed as well. Instead of just replacing the bumper the replaced the bumper, the grill and a headlight even which I believe was WAY more then needed to be done but I am gullible and went with it anyway) Long story short I get suckered into selling my car for way less then I wanted to and the next day I look on there website and what do I see? My car for sale already (No way they went through and thoroughly checked it) for 5000 dollars more! They tell me I wouldn't be able to get anymore then 7000 and the next day they are selling it for almost double what they paid me? I hope no one gets suckered into selling your car because you are desperate for money like I was. Check the carfax always before buying a car, especially from these sharks!
