Unprofessional. This dealer ran me through different...

Unprofessional. This dealer ran me through different cars for 6 hours and then badgered me to sign on a car that I expressed doubts about. I signed because I was so hungry and tired that I couldn't think straight and was desperate. Awful customer service and all around a bad experience. Neither of the two salesmen that I was trapped with knew anything about the cars they were selling, but they do know how to make you uncomfortable and get you to buy anything. For anyone reading this review - if Jake Phippen is your salesman, walk away. Young Chevrolet has access to the same cars and at least offers exchanges if you're not happy with the car you buy.

I sold them my truck on May 17, 2021 and they still have...

I sold them my truck on May 17, 2021 and they still have not paid me. Called and they said it would be another two weeks! It’s going to take them over a month to pay me for my vehicle which they took possession on May 17th. Very nice people, but to take over a month to pay me is unreal.


Oil change

I had my oil changed and his service was great!He was polite and honest when I had questions about other maintenance on my vehicle.. I would highly recommend Skyler Long


Went in to test drive a used Crosstrek ended up driving...

Went in to test drive a used Crosstrek ended up driving several other vehicles that I believed to be out of my price range. Fell in love with the Forester size and wanted to see what number were out the door. Sales guy was cool but the first Forester was 2021, after leaving the dealership asking them to run the numbers, I found the same car on the website with crossbars for cheaper. Called to ask about it and was told the only difference in the cheaper car was the crossbars and it was a 2020 not 2021 with the same features and miles. WRONG! Overall I felt this car buying process was misleading. When buying a vehicle new or used, the sticker price is for everything in and on the vehicle. Just look at the MSRP paper that breaks down the price with floormats etc. So imagine the surprise when Young comes back with the breakdown telling me the sticker price plus the cost of the clear bra they installed half of when they used it as a loaner vehicle. Refused to take off the cost (did take off $100 of the $700) and then tried to upsell the rest of the clear bra. Next a certified pre owned vehicle comes with a 100k mile powertrain warranty. However when I upgraded to the 100k mile bumper to bumper, the price was the same as if I didn't have any warranty when it should have been the difference of the powertrain and the bumper to bumper, thus adding about $3000 to the price of the vehicle. I wasn't intending to write a review positive or negative however issues continued happening. I paid to have a hitch installed and then was told wait 9 months or pay the difference of $200 which I already had paid over $500. To give the dealer credit, they did end up covering the cost after telling them I want the contract to be voided if they could not hold up their end in a reasonable manner. However when my hitch was installed they left the wiring in the spare tire well and I was told that it will just dangle from my hatch when I use it.... Found out a few weeks ago that it was not completed properly from another service tech who then scheduled me an appt to fix it. I also discovered that the 2020 Forester that I was told was identical to the 2021 did not in fact have the power liftgate or the HK speakers. Needless to say, I will most likely not purchase a car from Young Automotive again. The most positive experience I have had with them is Parker in service has provided excellent customer service and car to my vehicle when others have failed and he has had to fix their mistakes. Thank Parker you deserve an outstanding advisor award!

We had our best new car buying experience ever at Young Subaru this month!! Our salesperson, Ryan Newbold, was beyond AWESOME! He is the most knowledgeable salesperson we have ever met. He knows everything about Subarus, he answered questions correctly no matter what we asked him and he gave us information we had no idea about and I did a lot of research before we decided on buying our first Subaru. Impressive Ryan. Great job! Also, Ryan was extremely professional, friendly and genuine throughout the entire process. He was patient and stayed in touch with us over a couple of week period without any pressure. He was just there to help which he did excellently. We ended up buying our dream Subaru (2021 Subaru Forester Sport) in our favorite color and Ryan helped make it happen! We love it! As a dealership, Young Subaru was flexible and accommodating throughout the entire purchase process. We had a unique situation which made our purchase a little more complicated than normal and Young Subaru handled all of it perfectly and quickly. Our Finance Manager, Cameron Christensen, was also great! Both Cameron and Ryan made sure we understood all that was available in options and features and honored and accepted our decisions without pressure and we truly appreciated that. The customer service we received from start to finish was world class and now that we are Subaru owners, that world class service continues every time we call or visit. Everyone we have interacted with, including the Service Department (specifically Ammon Borup who was very professional, thorough and pleasant to work with), have been friendly, knowledgeable, and always made sure all of our questions were answered including any detailed specifications I asked for. Young Subaru is an EXCELLENT dealership that we feel we can trust. We are so glad we chose your dealership. That probably says it all right there because I personally have never felt that way about any dealership before. And thank you again Ryan for being awesome and making sure our car buying experience was positive in every way. We are very glad we made our purchase with you. And to everyone at Young Subaru, way to go and thank you! Keep up the great work you do! We look forward to being your customer for many years to come.

2 years service. Actually 3 oil changes.

Fantastic experience buying a car at young subaru in Ogden Put me in the car I needed. Flipside....... 2 years free service and maintenance means 3 oil changes. Not real happy about that


Dont stand behind their work

I have been a Subaru owner since 1979. At one time there were 4 subaru cars in my driveway. I used to live in Sandy and I had a mechanic that was wonderful. I would take my car in before work and it was finished when I picked it up. I guess I was spoiled. In the last 15,000 miles my 145k mile subaru has cost me $6k in repairs. The last $3k was for a transmission at Young Subaru. I have put on less than 5,000 miles and my transmission is leaking. It has been leaking for a while but Ive been too busy to take it in until now. My complaint is that a transmission that cost me $3000 doesnt include the pan. My complaint with Young Subaru is that I made an appointment to bring my car in and it took them 2 days, with me calling them, to let me know that my car wont be covered or fixed. I dont know if they just dont have enough help or that subaru cars have gone down hill in their quality and need to be repaired more often. My previous cars have lasted over 200k miles this one started giving me trouble at 130k. I wont be buying another Subaru and I will go out of my way to tell people why after all these years Im not buying another Subaru. I wont be going into Young Subaru ever.
