New Car purchase experience

My sale person, Noah, was great to work with. I would visit this dealership again because he worked hard to gain my business. The whole experience was wonderful.


Do not buy from this dealer

The dealership sold me a vehicle without checking the car over for repairs. Not even 90 days out I take my car in for a oil change covered under warranty and they tell me that the car needs new tires. Let me tell you the car had 2000 or less miles on it since I bought the car. You might imagine how upset I was that they took advantage of a single mother who has always trusted Chevy and the vehicles I?ve purchased. The automotive department back tracked on how bad my tires were and failed to mention the car also need front and rear alignment. I had the car looked over by a trustworthy mechanic. The cost needs to be taken care of.

You never completely fixed the car

My Bolt was brought in initially to complete a repair of the blind spot warning system that had been damaged by an accident. In addition after being struck by a flying orange barrel the driver side mirror which broke. The car sat for five days at the dealer, they called and told me the blind spot malfunction was a software issue which could be fixed after the mirror was replaced. However the mirror was on back order so I should pick up the car. As my wife drove off with the car I went to parts to see if they had an idea when the mirror would come in. The parts guy told me that the mirror had been there for a couple of days. I went back to the service people and informed them that the mirror was there they made an appointment for the following Monday. I took the car in the mirror was replaced and was told the work was completed and to get tue car. I was later to discover the original blind spot malfunction was never repaired. The right hand does not know what the left hand is doing.

Stay Away from Champion Matthews-Hargreaves!!!!

I've had 2 leases from this dealership and with both cars, the service center sales people tried to get me to spend over $500 on maintenance. The only thing I should be paying for are oil changes and tire rotations. I am disgusted with his dealership and the advantage they take over their customers.


Ghetto service

I actually had to rewrite this review. I took the car there the first time and they did a repair for $600 but they did not fix the causative issue. I took the car back and had them check it a second time and they denied that there was anything wrong. Eventually, I took the car to another mechanic shop in Hicksville, and they found out that: the oil cooler was broken and leaking oil and that there was very likely damage done to the turbo unit. (This is all about $2,800 worth of repairs and I would never have paid the $600 had I known that it was just putting a Band-Aid on the problem.) I spoke to the guy Anthony and he was responsible for the recheck and they drove my car 25 miles and somehow failed to notice the smell of burning oil. Just yesterday, I called him back and he said that he would talk to me at 4:00 p.m. and I didn't hear anything from him. How these guys at the Chevrolet repair missed it is beyond me, but I'm going to probably have to fire up my lawsuit writing pen because I'm going to need my money back. Also, I can recommend Melvindale Car Care over this place because the price for a diagnostic is lower and they get you in sooner and they are accurate.



Great people to do business with. I was treated very well by the service department.

run from this place

I just drove 45 min to buy a car that I was promised was on hold for me. I got their and they told me it was sold and tried to sell me a totally different vehicle. The show room looks like it is from the 20's. The sales team is out of touch. To top it off the $70k truck they had on the showroom floor was covered in dirt. I buy a new truck every year and have been all over the state to different dealerships. This dealership is by far the worst of all. It is not even worth 1 star in my opinion. I believe it was a scam in the first place as they didn't not even try to call me to cancel the appointment which was the first one of the day. I have contacts at GM and plan to share my experience.
