I have owned the car 122 days and it has been in service for 44 DAYS. Which is 36% of the time that I’ve owned it. WHO WANTS A CAR THAT ONLY OPERATES 64% OF THE TIME???????????? January 31, 2025 purchase vehicle from Gorges Volvo in Omaha, NE. March 20 car has catastrophic breakdown and spends 5 weeks at Vovlo Service Winter Park. I am stranded in Florida with my dog. April 25 car is ready to pick up 36 DAYS later. Three weeks later on May 17 another complete breakdown. The car went dead on the interstate to the point that the flashers would not even work and I had to slide off the interstate with semis licking my bumber. When I got over to the side of the road, I was unable to turn the car off. The car was towed to Roanake Volvo Service center. It spent another 5 days out of service. They claimed it had been taken care of sufficiently. May 21 pick up the car. 10 DAYS LATER on May 31 the car is having the same problem 12V battery critical. It is again inoperable and must go back to Volvo for service again. This means as of today, Monday, June 2, 2025, I have owned the car 122 days and it has been inoperabable in service for 44 DAYS. Which is 36% of the time that I’ve owned it. WHO WANTS A CAR THAT ONLY OPERATES 64% OF THE TIME?????????

We are terribly sorry to hear about this, and we can certainly imagine that this has been an inconvenience. Unfortunately, the car was behaving fine from the point we sold it to you until late March, which means that there wasn’t something we missed, otherwise it would have presented itself immediately. We know that doesn’t help the situation, but we want you to know that it wasn’t something missed on our end. With the vehicle being out of state it is difficult for us to know what exactly the issue is, especially since it hasn’t been back to us for any diagnosis or work. If you are back in Omaha, please let us know and we will be happy to take a look at this to drill it down, but otherwise we have to let other Service departments answer for themselves. Again, we apologize, we are just somewhat handcuffed if we cannot see or work on the car for you. We appreciate you and your patronage. Please let us know if you have the vehicle in a position where we can look at it and help make this right under the warranty you have.

I regret only being so far away in Colorado and not able to check in from time to time or use the service department. A fine legacy dealership, and veteran sales representative!

The team at Gorges was able to squeeze my wife and son
The team at Gorges was able to squeeze my wife and son into a very busy schedule on a Friday to take care of an issue with my son's car while I was out of town. They did a great job of communicating what needed to be done, how much it would cost and left both of them very happy. I am a loyal Gorges Volvo customer for this reason. As a family, we currently own and operate four Volvos of varying vintage from a 2023 XC90 recharge to a 2010 XC90 R-Design; all of them were purchased from and are serviced by Gorges Volvo. The dealership might sell you the car, but the service is what sells you the dealership. Gorges Volvo is the best.
