You read and decide
On 12/19/2022, I had a sales offer in writing from Bob Thomas Ford in Hamden, CT. It included a $1000 trade in assistance, and I was offered $12,500 for my car. Again, this was in writing and came from the sales manager. When I called the following day to consummate the sale, the manager told me he had erred on the trade-in-allowance blaming his general manager who stated he was paying too much for my trade. They reduced it by $500. In addition, he stated his trade-in assistance of $1,000 was no longer available. The attempted to sell me the car for over $2,000 over what was in writing 24 hours earlier. I then contacted the General Manager, Colby Pinette who stated because I had not given them a check, the dealership was not responsible. Having worked for the Judicial branch of government for fourteen years, I will open a case with the State Attorney's Office tomorrow. In addition, I am seeking the counsel of an attorney to see if litigation is an option. I am also going to do some research on Ford and who is responsible for its franchisors to tell them how I was treated. I have just given you the facts. You must determine for yourselves whether or not you wish to patronize this Hamden store

Kudos to Gary in service.
Kudos to Gary in service. He was able to schedule a repair of my daughters car on a last minute notice. Our lives would have greatly inconvenienced out family. Realizing our predicament, Gary took the time to question the staff in the shop about the chances of getting the car fixed that day. Needless to say, he was successful, and I picked up the car the same day - good as new. In a day when customer service is rare, Gary demonstrated not only his committment to me, the customer, but also, to you, the employerr. Thank you again, Gary.

I went to Bob Thomas to collect some car brochures. Got a bunch of them. The salesman knew I could never be buying a new car. Yet he let me run off with one of each of the twenty or so on offer.

Excellent experience buying a used car.
I purchased a used car from this dealership last week. I was very impressed that they didn’t use gimmicks, slick sakes tactics or pressure. I was treated like family. AJ was a patient salesman, and George gave me an incredible rate for a loan. They both got to know me as a person. This dealership was different from others I’ve dealt with because it was a relaxed experience, and they were honest and caring.

Installation of a part
I asked a price of installing a hood deflector on my 2019 ranger, they told me it would take a hour to install, what a joke. Here I am trying to give business to your shop and you want to charge a hours labor to install it, what joke. I won’t be back to you dealership. I figured you were the closet dealer to me. I would go out of my way not to have work done in Hamden.

We regret that you were not satisfied with your visit to Bob Thomas Ford. The installation of a hood deflector, on the surface, can appear to be an easy and quick process. However, inadequate preparation or failure to properly install the deflector can result in reduced durability and poor accessory functionality. We take certain steps to ensure your lasting satisfaction with our craftsmanship. The hood deflector for a 2019 Ford Ranger comes in two varieties, one requiring a thorough cleaning of the application site and an installation that can only be performed one time; failure to correctly apply the deflector the first time compromises the adhesive, and must be replaced. The second hood deflector (offered as a Ford authorized accessory) also requires sufficient preparation of the surface but also precise measurements to ensure that the deflector is centered and appropriately mounted before placing multiple one-time application adhesives. When our professionals install these accessories, they take the time to measure, clean, and apply the accessory to the specs of the manufacturer and the result is that our craftsmanship is guaranteed to match the warranty of the Ford Accessories you purchase from us. Driver’s side door misaligned on my wife’s Lincoln MKX after dealership it was purchased from tightened a loose bolt by the hinge on the door. Took it back to them twice to align it properly without success. Decided to try Bob Thomas. John Furino in the body shop fixed the door within 5 minutes. Very impressed and appreciated. If I’m in the market for a Ford in the future, I will be going to Bob Thomas. Thanks.
