5/21/25 I worked with Bobby on a new 24’Tiguan over the phone with a trade that I provide pics and all the information. We agreed on a price for the trade and new car. I drove down the next day and made the purchase. One of the easiest dealerships I have worked with over the years. I was in and out quickly as promised and they even honored all the providing we discussed without trying to add in any additional fees. I would definitely buy another vehicle from them in the future. Thank you Team VW of Merrilville.

He is patient and kind to answer all of our questions and still offered his time after the sale if we had any additional questions. Bobby made the car buying experience easy. DO NOT BUY ANYTHING FROM TEAM IMPORTS!! Team Audi Volkswagen in Merrillville tried to pull a bait and switch on my wife and me. Here are the details. My wife and I have been searching for a VW Tiguan to purchase right away. We finally decided on a specific model, which Team Imports’ website said they had on their lot. We decided to contact the dealership via their inquiry button on the website. We received a phone call and email at 4:04PM requesting we make an appointment, which we made for 5:45PM. We live over 40 miles away from the dealership, so we departed our home around 4:30PM, very excited to purchase a new Tiguan. That excitement turned to anger and frustration when we arrived at TEAM around 5:30PM. We were greeted outside the dealership. I went inside to use the bathroom, while the salesperson informed my wife that the Tiguan we inquired about had “just been sold to a woman who traded in a truck”. They also informed us they had no Tiguans on their lot. My wife and I were so upset, there were no words to be shared, so we just walked out. What were they thinking would happen? Did they think they could talk us into a different model? Did they really think I would spend $40,000 with a dealer who lied to me? I have purchased a few cars in my day and know that the paperwork to obtain a new automobile takes longer than an hour. Even if it didn’t take that long, why wouldn’t the dealer call me and let me know the specific car I inquired about had been sold? TEAM collected all this information during the inquiry process on their website. No apologies, no offer to pay for the $15.00 in gas we burned to go to the dealer, no email this morning apologizing, no nothing. In fact, I received a marketing email from them today, which tells me they just don’t care about their customers. You should stay clear of this company. They do not operate with integrity.
