Train service department on customer service

Buying process went well, service is awful. I have only bought at Oneonta Royal Chrylser for the last 10 years, but will no longer return. Make sure you purchase extended warranty or get your vehicle serviced at another dealerships. I will never go back, this is my 5th vehicle I have bought brand new from royal in Oneonta. Sales men are great, service department keeps getting worse, service has ruined it for me they won’t get my business back. Service manager Rich is rude and unprofessional, he should not work in customer service because his people skills and personality are lacking.



Gavin, Joe and the rest of the team at Royal were an invaluable help to me in my car buying process. I was in a time sensitive tight situation and they came through for me. The process was fast, easy and convenient! As a first time buyer i can't say enough about these guys and their guidance and service!


Buying a new Vechicle

◦ Before you use the service department at Royal Jeep of Oneonta NY, let me tell you how they treat their loyal customers. ◦ My wife purchased 5 oil changes costing $226.00 from them. Less than 2 month’s later she brought a new 2021 grand cherokee trailhawk from them, due to a starter problem they couldn’t fix with her 2015 grand Cherokee. After paperwork was signed she was informed that they wouldn’t refund or transfer the 5 unused oil changes. According to the assistant manager of service Barry,“that’s how they make their money”. Best Service Department

The service department at Royal Oneonta is one in a million! I’ve brought my 2014 Jeep Grand Cherokee here for 5 years and have never been treated anything less than special. Barry, Paul and Rich take the time to listen, suggest just what is needed and deliver always. Recently I had a problem and came in for guidance and without an appointment Barry took my car keys and said they would check it out. It is such a great feeling knowing you don’t have to worry about being ripped off. I would recommend Royal Oneonta’s dealership to anyone. In the future I wouldn’t hesitate to purchase from here! Thanks for being there for your customers.

Excellent Dealership

I am a 2nd generation owner of a family business. For over 30 years we have always relied on Ford products. When it was time to upgrade a vehicle I visited Royal Auto. As soon as I walked in it felt like I was a long time customer. They took the time to listen to what vehicle would fit my needs rather than sell me on what they wanted. The went out of there way to find the truck I desired . It truly was a hassle free process. Jimmy, Scott and Steve made me feel like family. I have purchased several vehicles over time and never had a buying experience this good. I would highly recommend Royal Auto and the Ram Truck product to anyone.


Very disrespectful!

I went to this dealer to buy a dodge ram. First off they will not tell you the price of the vehicle you are looking at until you tell them how much you want for your trade in, they then give you what you want for your trade in and bump the price of the vehicle you are looking at up without you knowing. The owner was extremely rude after trying to force me to buy a truck that I said I couldn't afford. He said it's not his fault that I owe that much on my truck after I told him I couldn't afford it and would need to buy a cheaper truck which they did not have. They are very expensive and sell their vehicles for thousands over what other dealers do. I will never go back. After the owner tried to force me to open a credit card, was extremely rude and talked down to me, and would repeatedly try to sell me vehicles way over my established budget. I will make sure nobody I know will go there!


Not your typical buying experience!

Very seldom do I take the time to write a review for auto dealerships because typically it's not a good experience, however it was completely different with Royal Chrysler. From start to finish, the team was professional straightforward and honest. I felt like I was dealing with old friends rather than salespeople. I would not hesitate to recommend this establishment to a friend, relative or anyone in general looking to experience something other than your typical buying experience.


Salesmen are too pushy at Royal Chrysler

Every time I go to Royal Chrysler I always feel pressured by them. I feel they are not fair with prices of the used cars they sell and their trade in offers are TERRIBLY LOW. My biggest problem with them is when they send a loan application to 12 banks ALL AT ONCE. I'm not a business man and even I know you don't do that. Weed out ONE OR TWO banks you think would work good for that person and that loan. Show off much?? Royal Chrysler needs an EGO check and a new sales manager. I will NEVER go back to Royal Chrysler.
