    I had been searching for a Jeep Compass for a long time and finally back in December I found one at Hastings Chrysler Center. The only rough part was it was all the way down in Hastings, which wasn't a big drive as I'm from the Twin Cities but it was at a great price and was in the color I was looking for. Upon arriving I told them I found their Jeep Compass on cars.com and was hoping that it was still available. After they did a little digging they found it and brought it around for a test drive. After a quick spin up the main drag by the dealership I knew I had found my next car. We went back and did the paperwork and I drove home in my dream car. As a thank you I wanted to write this review to show my gratitude to the Hastings Chrysler Center team for connecting me with exactly what I had been looking for and making the entire process pleasant. I will certainly refer you to all of my friends!

    I went for an oil change, multi-point check, and brake inspection for my Chrysler T & C 06. I took my van in on 4/14 to the Chrysler Dealership in Hastings, MN. I received a call from the dealership on the 15th saying that the rotors and brake pads should be changed along with the serpentine belt, and a missing bolt in the vehicle frame. I wanted to get that done ASAP but was needing to wait until next week so meanwhile I picked up the vehicle and took it back home. This was on 4/15. When I got my vehicle home there is a huge leak of a red fluid all over my drive way accompanied with a strange cracking noise coming from the engine. Nothing was wrong with the vehicle until it went to the dealership for a simple oil change and inspection. I sent the vehicle to the dealership to get it maintained, NOT for them to mess it up! I called them on 4/16 and told them about what was going on and they wanted me bring the vehicle back to see what was wrong.....Went there and after they looked at the vehicle I got two different stories from two different mechanics. They said that they "somehow" over filled the coolant and the coolant got on to the serpentine belt which is making the cracking noise. As per one mechanic the coolant was to dry off soon and the noise would stop. The other said the belt would need to be replaced immediately for the noise to stop. I wasn’t convinced so I got the vehicle checked by 3rd party. They were shocked and in disbelieve that the job was actually done by a dealership. The Oil filter has double bearing and the old O ring has not been taken out before putting in the new one, which is leaving a gap. There is nothing wrong with the serpentine belt at all! It was in perfect condition! (The 3rd party mechanics said they can change it if we want but don’t know why we would do that as the belt is in good shape) The noise from the engine is not the coolant on the serpentine belt!!!!!! The noise is coming from the gap caused by your mechanics! Doesn’t your dealership know how to put an oil filter on or for that matter not to cheat and fool its own customers by messing up their vehicles when people drop their vehicles for servicing? Absolutely ridiculous! Do not take your Vehicle to this dealership as they will mess up your vehicle for their profit. Stay away from them .
