I went in for a scheduled oil change, inspection, and

I went in for a scheduled oil change, inspection, and software update. Someone came to show me filters the technicians suggested could use replacing, and quoted an estimate price. I chose to replace them.

Service department gave me wrong information.

Service department gave me wrong information. Told me the rings in one cylinder was bad and engine was shot. Wanted me to put new engine in Acura RDX. Took to non Honda dealer who performed compression test. Cylinder was fine. Known issue with VCM on 3.5L engine. Paid $190 to get bad info. Good thing got 2nd opinion.

Ryan was very friendly and helpful, answering our questions. Unfortunately, it was a very rainy day, and we didn't take time in the car to learn more about the technology features before driving away. It was disappointing that there was no owner's manual for the car, and the dealership wasn't willing to obtain one - other than providing the online link to read/download. We were able to order one online, which has been helpful. We appreciated the honesty in revealing the hail damage, and the commitment to having it repaired.
