About our dealership

This seller has been on Cars.com since May 2019.
Our customers says things like Ashlee did!

"I bought a Fiat a few months back from Milpas Motors and had a wonderful buying experience. When looking for a car I traveled all over California only to find my perfect car right in Santa Barbara. I waited three months to write this review just to make sure I still had that warm fuzzy feeling you get after buying a car and I do! If you are looking for a specialty luxury or import vehicle it's worth taking the drive to Santa Barbara. These guys are accommodating easy to work with and no nonsense (my type of people)!"
Quality Sport and Luxury Models and well as Classic Models Available

1973 vw thing! Steve the owner offered the vw for 12,000 but after I saw all the rust on the bottom floor/pan that’s a 6,000 fix Rather than addressing the undisclosed structural floor rust or honoring his own salesperson Oliver’s written counteroffer of $11,000, Steven resorted to personal attacks and gaslighting tactics on Yelp—fabricating a story about "50 phone calls" to deflect from his dealership's deceptive practices. My actual call logs—complete with timestamps, voicemails, and missed calls—prove the exact opposite: standard two-way communication where his sales team was actively calling me, and I was simply returning their calls to negotiate a routine business deal. Tellingly, immediately after my original review exposed the hidden undercarriage condition with photos, Milpas Motors dropped the vehicle's public asking price from $18,500 down to $14,999. Dropping the price by over $3,500 confirms what I said from day one: the original price was wildly inflated for a vehicle requiring extensive floor pan repair. A honest business doesn't try to manipulate the facts or attack customers who catch hidden defects. The undercarriage photos, the written offer from his employee, and the call logs speak for themselves. Proceed with caution.look at yelp reviews

Steven did not keep phone appointments and then ignored getting back to me on price negotiation. Also told some tall tales about vehicle's origin.

They answered Quickly. We discussed the price but we're still a ways apart. I still havn't given up on the vehicle yet. I felt that they were straight with me and would recommend the dealership

Jim Cook the owner of Milpas Motors was very genuinely friendly, helpful and accommodating. We conducted and over the phone transaction, by wire payment. Jim FaceTimed me so we could go over the car together. He graciously answer all my questions and showed the entire car inside and out with temps hovering around one hundred degrees that day. He pointed out the few imperfections without hesitation and happily showed off its assets. I had to have the car shipped, he was more then willing to work with the transporter driver to set up a pickup time even if it was after hours. Plus he had no problem storing the car for that week till it was shipped. Jim kept me informed through out the entire process via email and texts. If you are looking for a good dealer Milpas Motors and Jim Cook is you ticket to happy motoring! AWESOME! AWESOME! AWESOME!

I was interested in a used car listed on the Milpas Motors website. It was very difficult to get any detailed information about the condition of the car from the dealership. I was unable to look at the car in person so I was relying on email. The dealership wasn’t interested in answering some very basic questions and didn’t seem interested in finding out. It was like pulling teeth to get any info. so I wasn’t comfortable making a full price offer. I did some additional research on the car on my own and made a second offer that was ignored.

I bought a TR6 from across the country from these folks. Jim and Steve were great and provided some extra photos and videos of the car and never over represented its condition. After making the purchase, they were patient with my issues getting a trucking company to pick up the vehicle. They even provided a contact with a provider they had used previously. It can be stressful purchasing a car and even more so when it's all the way across the country. Milpas made that experience much less stressful with their extra service and communications.

I live in San Diego and bought a vehicle sight unseen from Maripas. Steven was so easy to work with, from assuring the vehicle was quality, to the delivery from Santa Barbara to my front door in San Diego. Complete quality service!

Straightforward, knowledgeable, answered my questions, replied to my inquiry quickly. What else is there? I did not buy from them, but it had nothing to do with the salesman. He was competent.
