Avoid this dealership. False advertising!!

Beware of false/misleading advertising from this dealership regarding used cars. On April 10, 2023 I purchased a used 2022 Tesla Model 3 from Clift Auto in Adrian, MI. The car was publicly marketed as never having been in an accident and having had only one previous owner. The sales representative also told me on at least 2 occasions that the vehicle has never been in an accident and only had one owner. On June 12 I brought the vehicle to the Tesla Service Center for evaluation of the steering problem. I was informed by them that “we found your vehicle has been in an accident” . Tesla also reported to me on June 19 that “we can tell the vehicle hit something underneath in the front” . They also reported that “a used left half shaft has been installed on the vehicle” indicating that some type of repair had been attempted on the vehicle prior to its sale to me. Again, this was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase. They also noticed a non-Tesla metal bolt had been placed on the left underside of car, suggesting there had been structural damage to vehicle that was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase. I was also able to discover that the “one previous owner” was Hertz and that the vehicle was used as a rental vehicle. This was not disclosed to me at the time of purchase

Very unhappy

Brought my truck in for oil change asked if they would check a headlight going on and off and look at my tailgate that won't open they said they would but didn't, also didn't wash my truck like they said they would but I stopped at the carwash to get oil smudge off my hood and fenders not happy and Will not be returning

Cris made this the easiest vehicle purchase ever!!

When I completed an inquiry about an Acadia on Cars.com, I think as contacted by Cris at the dealership quickly. Unfortunately, the vehicle had asked about was sold. Cris took the time to ask what options I was looking for and he did a search of his dealership’s incoming inventory. They didn’t have one coming that met me needs. Cris asked me to give him some time to do a search of other dealerships that may have my perfect vehicle. My own local GMC dealership didn’t even offer that level of customer service. Within a couple hours Cris found what I was looking for and stated he’d see if they could arrange a dealer trade. In less than a week, Cris secured my vehicle. He went above and beyond. The finance manager was able to get an interest rate even lower than my credit union. This dealership was top notch in every single aspect!!

This dealership makes incredibly low ball trade offers to see if customers are dumb enough to take the bad deal. They offered me $25k less than my trade was worth. Thankfully, I knew better and didn't let them fleece me. Run far away as fast as you can to an honest dealer.

Had my vehicle for 3 months. At this time the...

Had my vehicle for 3 months. At this time the transmission failed resulting in the transmission needing to be rebuilt. The transmission was serviced by Clift prior to purchase. My mechanic stated the dealership should have noticed the metal shavings in the fluid. So much for their multi point inspection.

3 months and the transmission went out

If you use this dealership, make sure that you repeat...

If you use this dealership, make sure that you repeat yourself over and over again what your specifications are. And when they offer you a vehicle, after you have repeated yourself on specifications, make sure you check those yourself. Very disappointed in them. Also if you speak to the manager she will apologize and let you know she has been there for 34 years and if you need anything to let her know. Yes, I need you to make sure your staff is competent.

oh so easy experience

Todd Welch called me to ask if I was ready to move forward with my lease end. He told me there were some great deals. went in on a monday morning thinking we would just start looking. Todd said dealership had gotten quite a few terrains in. He had one in mind for me, but was not sure I liked red. Ha Ha, red is my favorite color! I left dealer ship that day driving my new lease red 2020Terrain ! Todd was amazing, everything went so smoothly. THANK-YOU TODD AND CLIFT BUICK GMC!!
