So today I decided that I needed a new Truck for my company. As a small business owner I have had to make some sacrifices over the past several years to... get my company up and going. As an owner of a service company, I understand how important good customer service is. At Randy Marion Sav-A-lot that is exactly what you will receive. I called ahead already with a finance company in hand, and was greeted with the most laid back sales manager (Dave) I have ever spoken too. I decided to go and check out 2 of the trucks they had on the lot and too my surprise was greeted by a sales person ( Travis) who was also laid back. Now pulling into a used car lot, and coming from a family of dealers I didnt expect them to be this genuine. I told him the only two vehicles that I wanted to see and again to my surprise, my first choice was actually being detailed. I was allowed to go back and introduced to the service person who actually walked me through what he found while checking out the vehicle (nothing wrong with it at all, but he did say he wouldn't let me drive the vehicle off the lot until it was spotless). Now at this point I was blown away , Dave (who didnt have to even talk to me, left his office and introduced himself to me) assured me that all of the information I had requested had been forwarded to the finance company while I was travelling at my request. We then began the paperwork after I test drove the trucks during which I received a call from the finance company. The finance company had played with the numbers and came out with a horrible payment plan. Travis then left the room without saying a word while I continued to speak to Dave, and began a conversation with the finance manager. While Travis didnt know I could actually hear the conversation. Travis started telling his finance manager my story. And closed by saying, look he needs this truck there has to be something we can do to help him. Right there, I found my new dealer. Now be mindful, until he reads this, he probably still isnt aware I heard this. Travis then walked back up to me and began explaining percentages and how the numbers didnt add up to him and his team. He then explained he was working on something and asked me to hang out for a bit. He and his team then spent 5 hours, working on getting me approved through the best lender they possibly could at a rate over a hundred dollars cheaper per month than what i expected to pay anyway. IF you need a great used car or truck go see Travis and Dave. I drove my new truck home today.

Asked salesman what was meant by DOC fee? Was told it was $795.00 that goes straight to corporate office as additional profit in addition to the price... of the car. Unfortunately, this type of “fee” is also subject to the NC 3% sales tax, compounding the extra hidden cost of buying a car from this dealership.
