Buyer, beware.

Buyer, beware. Negotiated on a used “one owner” jeep. Turns out the jeep was actually a rental car. Dealership was less than forthcoming, providing any information. Had to rely on my local dealer to warn me about what I was getting into. Very disappointed in the process

Worthless 30 day warranty no service after sale!

If I could give negative stars I would. Purchased my vehicle 9/27. Most of the purchase was smooth though I will say for those that complain they won't remove their resistall fee, they will...but they add it on somewhere else. For me it was the GAP policy. They charged me $1500 for a policy that should have been about $400. My fault for not catching it. The worst part was service after the sale. Turns out the Subaru we had has a serious transmission issue. They offer a 30 day 50/50 drive train warranty. We took it back 4 days later after I realized it was a serious issue and after much run around and 3 weeks, they put a rear transfer clutch on the vehicle and returned it to me...using all my gas and I had to drive their tech back to the dealership. Turns out the car still is not fixed. There is no way they drove the car from their Subaru dealership in Mooresville to Hickory and did not feel the slipping and stuttering of the transmission as it goes between 7th and 8th gear, yet they returned it to me anyway without another word. I immediately took it to my regular mechanic who confirms there is definitely a transmission issue. They have us working directly with SOA in hopes of some resolution. Randy Marion has done nothing but treat us rudely and with disrespect since we drove off the lot.

No communication and jumping through hoops

They jumped through hoops to get me in there to purchase a vehicle. Luckily I got the warranty because not even 7 months later its in the shop. (Which I place no blame on Hickory per say), but if vehicles go through an extensive process to make sure they are good to go apparently its being done by unqualified technicians per everyone there, since they do not work on other vehicles other than what they "specialize" in. They refused to fix the vehicle because their technicians are only skilled to work on "certain" vehicles after calling Hickory as well as many other Randy Marion locations. I had to get my vehicle towed somewhere else to be met with Randy Marion Hickory needing to release the contract, however they refused to do this as well until the repair shop contacted them to do this. This has been nothing but jumping through hoops to be met with xxxxty customer service names included Jennifer (picking the phone up and hanging it up) and some other woman as well as financial managers (Dylan Parker and David Smith) not calling me back and me having to make multiple phone calls just to be instantly hung up on. I will absolutely not recommend anyone to come to this nor any other Randy Marion location due to this. My next stop will be corporate to express my concerns and all names involved.

HORRIBLE!!!

I had round after round of BAD, BAD, situations with this dealership. Bought a car with the promise to fix a problem that was evident. I BOUGHT BUMPER TO BUMPER COVERAGE!!!!! Took WEEKS for them to schedule the appointment but in the mean time, my vehicle got worse and worse and showed even more problems. They ended up taking my vehicle TWICE.. Once with no rental provided (I live two hours away). David smith took care of the first time they picked up the vehicle to “fix it”.. during the time they had it, David called me a liar, screamed at me, drug me around like a rag doll and still didn’t even attempt to fix the problem that was first found and agreed to be fixed!! The same day I got it back, I let them know the exact problems were still very much there and not fixed at all. David proceeded to text me ABOUT ME! thinking he was texting someone else!! They eventually (under protest) agreed to get the vehicle back and try to fix it again. I work every single day so I asked i was told that someone else could drop my vehicle off and pick up the rental. On MONDAY, My grandfather took my vehicle down for the exchange where he was taken to FOUR different rental companies who all refused to rent! David smith got in my grandfathers face and yelled, stomped around the office and tried everything in his power to avoid a rental and getting my vehicle to be fixed! I stated OVER AND OVER that if I got a rental, it had to be big enough for me to be able to have my children and their car seats. Eventually I was given a 2002 Toyota that was nasty, smelled like smoke, shook like a leaf and wasn’t even big enough for me to travel with my own children! ON FRIDAY, I was told my vehicle was fixed and ready to go! Then I received a call saying that there was ABSOLUTELY nothing found wrong with my vehicle! EVEN AFTER THE ORIGINAL PROBLEM HAD NEVER BEEN FIXED!!!!!! They blamed it on my vehicle not being brand new.. They offered to trade me out of my vehicle.. For a vehicle A year OLDER than mine. I found another vehicle at another Randy Marion that I wanted to try and trade for. They first said that it was impossible to move a vehicle for trade from one Randy Marion to another. I called the other Randy Marion and they told me that it was actually pretty popular to move vehicles between the Randy Marion Dealerships for trade. Called back and was again drug around, called a liar, Jordan even went as far as to say I was lucky to have the things I do because of my finances!!!! At the end of this day I ended up calling Randy Marions Secretary for the THIRD time and trying to get help. I called Randy Marion In Hickory back and told them I had contacted my lawyer and he had advised me to get my vehicle back and we would start the process of legally holding them responsible for breaking contract.. We are in the beginning stages of this, now. AND I STILL HAVENT HEARD FROM ANY TYPE OF AUTHORITY! So PLEASE save your time and MONEY!!!! Stay away!!!!!

LEMON CENTRAL

We recently purchased a vehicle from this dealer within the past month. When we noticed a major oil leakage issue, we called several of the previous repair centers that were listed on the CarFax report. The last service center mentioned that the vehicle was leaking oil during the 3rd individual's ownership period. They mentioned that this repair would be a $1,900 repair. All vehicles sold by Randy Marion undergo an "inspection" prior to sale, however, they failed to mention this issue to us at the time of purchase. An issue this major would have been noticed by the dealership. When we confronted the dealership about this issue and asked for an amicable resolution, we were told in no polite terms that we would not be helped at all. Unless you want to buy a lemon vehicle, do NOT buy from this dealership. No accountability at all even though this was clearly their issue.

Volvo S60

We bought the Volvo today from with the awesome help from Billy Wilfong. He was very patient with me showing me half the lot and letting me test drive as many vehicles as I wanted. I'll definitely be back for my next car and would recommend you guys all day long. Thanks for everything!
