This is the second car I've purchased from Neary's. I'd never purchased a used car before and was really concerned about finding someone reputable. I was familiar with the family and figured I'd take a chance because they have a real sense of morals and values. I bought a 2008 Prius. I love that car. I had 4 great years with it and when it came time for a new one, I knew exactly who to call. I had not one problem with my Prius. It was exactly as shown on the website. It was exactly as Mike had described. My new car is a 2013 Honda Accord. I got great advice from Mike on the car. Mike gave me a great trade on my Prius, and even though I'm moving out of state, Mike is definitely my car guy. He and his Dad are knowledgable, fine, upstanding, dependable businessmen. The car buying process was very stressful for me- until I dealt with Mike Neary of Neary Auto. The dealership is small and family owned. Mike was the guy that actually worked on the car I was buying, so he knew it inside and out. He willingly explained everything to me down to the tire treads. (I am not car savvy so I appreciated it greatly). The car I bought is top quality and so was my buying experience. I will be looking to Neary Auto first when it comes time to buy another car!

I urge anyone in the market for a used car to check out Neary Auto in Scranton, PA. What straight-talking, down to earth, and easy going people! I had the pleasure of doing business with Mike Jr but his dad, Mike Sr was also present for part of the time. Father and son were the kind of people I'd love to have as friends. As far as the buying experience, Mike Jr is very knowledgeable, not only when in comes to selling vehicles, but he's also a hands on mechanic behind the scenes. There was no pressure on his part to make the sale, but rather answered our questions thoroughly and with a lot of patience. My husband was especially impressed with the cleanliness of all the cars on his lot. We looked at a lot of cars at other dealerships and most of them were still carrying the former owner's dirt, both inside and outside. It's obvious that the Neary Dealership truly cares about the cars they sell as they were all in pristine condition. Once I decided to buy the 2011 Honda CRV EX, he made every effort to be sure that I was satisfied with every detail of the car. He asked if there was anything I saw on or in the car that maybe he could make better. Real Customer Satisfaction is his goal. His website shows each car with lots of LARGE photos.....and a free carfax on them. I guess I can't say enough about our buying experience. I rate him as a top notch dealer and person...an overall good guy.

Even though Neary's is a 3.5 hour drive for me I would buy my next car there. Spoke with Mike a few days before driving out and he was very straight forward in answering all my questions. The car was exactly like all the pictures...very nice car...and a great find! Why else would I drive 3.5 hours...the savings were very much worth it. Beautiful car! Love it! Buying with Mike at Neary's is not your usual purchase. From the time we spoke on the phone until he handed me the keys...very smooth. Extremely personable without any 'salesman' pushiness. Cars we looked at were exactly as described on the website. Prices were great. After a month of driving our purchase, couldn't be happier. First off I would like to say that I traveled over 2hrs to purchase this vehicle from Michael Neary and I couldn't be more satisfied (I think the wife is happy as well which makes my life a lot easier). My car buying experience as a whole was probably the second most stressful thing I have ever experienced in my life. I spent an entire week calling dealers all over the upstate New York area. I attempted negotiations with multiple dealers and came up empty handed every time. After speaking with Mike over the phone and expressing my interest in the 2010 Toyota Highlander my wife and I decided that we were going to make the 2hr trek and see the car for ourselves. After we arrived from the moment we met Mike to the moment we left keys and vehicle in our hand was a smooth, pleasurable no pressure experience. Mike had the best price on a low mileage vehicle that we found within a 2hr radius of where we live. Overall it was definitely worth the trip and I will continue to monitor his business in the future when I get ready to replace my other car.
