Being 55 I have had dealings with plenty of dealerships

Being 55 I have had dealings with plenty of dealerships in my time. Deery of Waukee, Iowa is different. We ran into some problems with a vehicle purchased and without the long story; I'll say this team stepped up and made it right. Thank you Juju and Jason H. You guys took care of us and made happy, loyal customers.

Nermin was great and made me feel like was he working

Nermin was great and made me feel like was he working with/for me -- but had very poor experience with JuJu the sales manager and insults on my trade ( i realize it is their job to try to get low but the approach was demeaning!). Then when I picked up my vehicle from detail and service the front floor mats are missing which were clearly in the photos prior to detail but they were not replaced -- and gas tank almost empty upon pick up -- what happened to the day of full tank? -- little details go a long way for repeat business -- dissatisfied experience overall

Barely 9 months ago (yesterday was the 9 month mark) , my husband and I acquired a 2017 Ford Expedition from this dealership. Regrettably, since then, we have incurred over $6,000 in repairs to the engine. The service advisor at the dealership responsible for the repairs informed me that Deery would have been aware of these issues had they conducted a thorough examination of the engine and its components, as they claim to do during their inspections. It is deeply concerning that a dealership would be so willing to sell a vehicle to a family with four children that is not even safe to drive within eight to nine months. Such practices are not only unethical but also potentially dangerous. Consequently, I have decided to never return to that dealership, and I know that my family, coworkers, and friends will not either.

My experience at this dealership was disappointing.

My experience at this dealership was disappointing. While Miles and Joelle were excellent, the service and finance departments were inadequate. I traveled over 200 miles from Illinois to buy a 2017 Cadillac Escalade and requested a video walkaround, which was satisfactory. After the deal and financing, I spent $800 on flights for myself and my son. Upon arrival, Miles showed me the clean vehicle, but the power liftgate wouldn’t fully open. Despite this, we proceeded with the purchase. On the road, a mile in, we experienced a severe vibration from the front suspension. Miles reassured me and informed me about their 3,000-mile, 3-month powertrain warranty. Without the warranty, I wouldn’t have bought the vehicle. The experience was disappointing, and I wouldn’t recommend this dealership. I was committed to buying the car over $1000, and the non-refundable deposit, plane tickets, and hotel room made it difficult to back out. When I got home, I took the car to my local Chevy dealership the following Wednesday. They inspected it and found heavy metal contamination, requiring a transfer case and torque converter. The warranty company informed them that a car with only 500 miles needed $6000 in repairs, likely due to negligence. They spent half a day trying to ship my car back to Iowa to save money and fix it themselves, which was unnecessary. They should’ve inspected the car properly when they picked it up from auction and decided whether to fix it or return it. Fortunately, the dealership and the warranty company agreed to authorize repairs and the breakdown of damaged parts. The work is underway, and we can now address two more major issues. The brake pads need to be replaced urgently, and they installed two mismatched tires that could damage the new transfer case. These issues should’ve been identified and resolved. They’re straightforward to identify. However, I’m giving them a negative rating because of my experience with upper management. I repeatedly tried to reach out to upper management after purchasing the car. Damian, who was involved in my purchase, referred me to their sales manager, Greg. Greg initially tried to convince me that the warranty could only be used at their dealership, but I informed him that it only needs to be brought to them if I’m within 50 miles of one of their dealerships, which I am not. I hung up the phone and warned him to expect a negative review. He admitted his mistake and let me take the car anywhere, but he was still unhelpful and downplayed my issues. Damian escalated the matter to their general manager. He was the first helpful person I’ve spoken to at Deery Brothers. He listened to my concerns, informed me they’d discuss it at a meeting, and initiated communication. Despite contacting the general manager since Friday afternoon, I haven’t received any communication. He seems to be ignoring my attempts. This was a terrible experience. I strongly advise anyone considering buying a used vehicle from Deery to be cautious.

After dealing with them for a few days and my credit

After dealing with them for a few days and my credit being ran many times, my score dropped under what anyone including the dealership wanted to deal with, so here I am still without a vehicle, Derrick really tried, but his manager at the time really wasn't working on anything but good credit people and that along with other factors left me behind waiting and waiting, I almost had to beg but was told definitely not by that manager on that fateful day, now I sit at home with no way to do much nor with getting food or doctors 25 miles away. But I still say Bless you brother Derrick for trying.
