About our dealership

This seller has been on Cars.com since July 2024.
When John Deery Sr. founded Deery Brothers Chevrolet Inc. in 1908, he had a goal of creating a dealership equipped to handle the requirements of all customers. Today, there's a reason why Deery Brothers Chevrolet is Iowa's oldest family-owned automotive dealership. It's because customer service is our top concern. From the moment you walk through our doors, we'll treat you like family. It's why we say we're the home of Pleasant People, Pleasant Pricing, and Pleasant Products. Your satisfaction is our number one goal. We don't use high-pressure sales tactics. Instead, we'll work with you to find a vehicle that suits your needs.

Purchased a vehicle in the last week.

Purchased a vehicle in the last week. Go into the process knowledgeable. Finance person wanted us to sign for an interest rate 2% higher than what I knew we were eligible for prior to even going. Customer service is not their top priority as unwilling to listen to concerns and meet in the middle. We are removing dealership sticker from back of vehicle and will not ever go back. People were friendly, but I don't appreciate sketchy business practices and beyond poor customer service.

Bought a car in Sept.

Bought a car in Sept. Everything ended up wrong with it, transmission leaking, oil leaking, an-after market radio continued to drain the battery, among many other things. Firestone told us the truth about the car in January, after we had put another $3,000 into it. Had to buy a new car in January after the car continuously wouldn't start. Derry lied to us about the value, too, and said that JD power certified the car for $8,900. JD Power does not certify cars, and Toyota explained to us why the car was only worth $2,500. Absolute thieves!

Sold my son a car that was worth 2,500 and charged 8,900

Sold my son a car that was worth 2,500 and charged 8,900 knowing that it had a transmission leak and a problem with the engine. I would never recommend this dealership to anyone.

I am from out of town -so I was going to have my cousin

I am from out of town -so I was going to have my cousin test drive after receiving inspection report and carfax [also getting delivery costs to my residence]- after being very diligent in my communication--I was told a day later-umm being transparent [sales person]-that the vehicle was not thru the inspection process and there were mechanical issues- [keep in mind I work thru email only to have a WRITTEN record of All correspondence ]--so WHY list the vehicle at all? they wasted multiple hours of my time-and if it was not mechanically sound then should have listed it as mechanics special and dropped the price---BTW it was still listed a couple days ago--I would have NEVER considered it if listed correctly--if u deal with this dealership -Get it all in WRITING/EMAIL-use at your own risk---I'm just an ol school guy who looks for honesty and integrity --seems to be rare these days--and u wonder why people spend a bit more and use carvana-

The gal i met at my first visit, Sandra.

The gal i met at my first visit, Sandra. Was awesome she helped out so much! Every time a truck came across she was reaching out to me about it. I unfortunately found one at a different place but she never gave up trying to help me find the one I wanted.

Car was mist-represented in on line pictures.

Car was mist-represented in on line pictures. It had boy damage not shown in photos. Severely under priced for trade. Like insultingly under priced. Complete waste of time.

Where do I begin bought a car in Jan it’s now march and

Where do I begin bought a car in Jan it’s now march and we have a problem with the temperature gauge, fan etc. Had the car towed to Derry because we bought platinum service agreement thinking that meant something nothing could be further from the truth. The service department has had the car for over a week lied to us everyday last week about the car being a priority.. The tech we spoke with Lonnie was absolutely horrible zero concern for our situation. I will never buy another car from this place ever again just because they can’t be trusted when you lie to your customers it doesn’t reflect well on the company as a whole. I will take my business to Stew Hansen where I should’ve went in the first place derry came highly recommended but I beg to differ.
