Every single bad review you read here is true.

Every single bad review you read here is true. These guys are xxxxty, dodgy and shady asf. A car that was going for 11k suddenly changed to 18k plus all dubious hidden fees. And that fat guy at the back is as crooked as helll. They will convince you to finance at all cost, and it’s so sickening!

I contacted them regarding a vehicle they had listed.

I contacted them regarding a vehicle they had listed. It was listed on their site at 36k, which I was fine with, and like with any vehicle I know there would be tag/tax/title fees added to that, so when I called I asked him for the total price out the door. He started to talk about financing and test drives and I explained that I didn't need financing as I would be paying cash. He then tells me "If you're paying cash I can't sell it to you for that price. I have to charge you an extra 2500." He then tells me that since I don't need financing, he won't be making any money from the bank on a financing deal so he has to charge me more. I mentioned that being illegal (which it is, its a violation of the Consumer Protection Act)and he said he wasn't the one in charge and someone else would have to call me back. Of course no one did, and I ended up buying another truck that same day elsewhere. But that conversation definitely showed how shady this place is, and I would advise anyone and everyone to take your money elsewhere.

PRESTIGE OF AVENEL advertises the car online for sale but

PRESTIGE OF AVENEL advertises the car online for sale but when you want to buy the vehicle they raise the price unless you finance it with them. They also add all kinds of junk fees and say they are required to buy the car. A documentation fee is required and theirs is @$899. The state average is $335–$531.91, The craziest thing is they install LoJack ($999?) never really got the actual price only that it must be purchased with the car unless "upper management" approves the removal. They are all over the internet new for $47-$131. Anyone can install it as it comes with basic plug and play setup. I ask for a buyers order without any of the junk extras added to it but was told they could not send it. Any Automobile sales company that won't furnish a buyers order should not be allowed to operate. RUN DO NOT WALK FROM THIS DEALERSHIP!!! THE STATE OF NEW JERSEY NEEDS TO DO A COMPLIANCE REVIEW ON THIS PLACE.

What a frustrating situation.

What a frustrating situation. I went to test drive the RAV4 and was so excited to learn no one purchased it. I discussed the listed price of $20,995 for the car. I sat down with the sales rep and discussed pricing and talked about the $1000.00 discount sent to me via text. He agreed they would honor the text sent to me. I had to call this company three times to get the bill of sale to my bank taking over and hour to do so. I expected that this would mean there would be totally transparency throughout the purchasing process, especially when it comes to pricing. When my bank finally received the bill of sale it was not what we discussed, total amount of 29,000.00 plus. When I discovered the price, I called the dealership only to find out that the listed price online and spoken about in person was not the $20,995.00 price because I was not using their financing there were significant miscommunications regarding the advertised price, additional fees, and the financing options. My expectation for clarity in pricing was not met, which led to my anger and disappointment. The lack of responsiveness from the sales representative further exacerbates the issue, as open lines of communication are crucial in customer service. I did warn the woman that I was incredibly angry with the lack of transparency. She tried to help but could not meet my needs. In addition, the salesman I was working with did not answer or call me back. Moral if this story Prestige Auto are not a transparent company. I would encourage anyone who is trying to purchase from this company to just not bother. The only expectation they can live up to is complete and utter disappointment.

This dealership lacks integrity.

This dealership lacks integrity. I was interested in a car priced at $40,895. When I arrived, they unexpectedly added a $10,000 markup. I expressed my unwillingness to pay that price, noting that I had seen other options, and they eventually agreed to honor the advertised price. However, during the signing process, the salesperson engaged me in conversation, and I didn’t notice that he had added nearly $10,000 to the car’s value. It wasn’t until I reviewed the bank documents that I realized the discrepancy. He also assured me that there would be no penalty for paying off the loan early, despite a stated penalty of $3,000. This experience has shown me that they are not trustworthy and are the worst kind of people to do business with.

DONT buy any car from these scam artists!!!! They will do anything they can to screw You over, iv been waiting for over 3 months for plates with expired temp plates and will do nothing, misrepresented all the extras for the car, traded a truck in basically stole my truck and added $10,000 over asking price for new vehicle, even though we agreed on a price) told me they underprice cars so people will come and then have extra charges on top to make you pay more, witch they never tell you about, I now paid $20,000 over what I was supposed to with no plates and unregistered vehicle, they will not call you back and ignore or hang up phone on me, the better business has a ton of complaints about them as well as the consumer of protection, don't buy from them they are scams

BEWARE!

BEWARE! The manager here doesn’t want to sell vehicles; he wants to lock you into financing. He's unwilling to budge on pricing once he realizes you don’t need such. As a matter of fact, he will add on imaginary costs. The vehicle in question was listed for 29,995, and he attempted to assert that the 8% sales tax on that price was $2700. Once he realized we weren’t idiots and that it was in fact, $2400, he attempted to say that the tax amount was based on what he bought the vehicle for, which was 31,200 (he declared this after reasoning that the 29,995 was only for those who were financing 🙄) I countered that even with that price - the taxes were still NO MORE than $2500, (I’m a math teacher). Moreover, we had our own tag which required transfer only. This price is typically around $200, $250 if the dealer conducting it is being a xxxxxx, and even with all that - the total price would STILL be 33,950. After all that, he made another declaration, noting that he wanted to make “AT LEAST” $1500 profit. Therefore, we were willing to make the deal for $35,000 total with no financing required. However, he kept pushing another funky $2000, claiming it was taxes, AND continued to offer financing options with 10 - 15k down! Seriously dude? Who still finances WITH money done? That money would go directly to the dealership, which, in my experience, only needs to be a conduit between the consumer who needs financing (not us) and the bank. So yeah, the manager is a sleazeball. He must receive kickbacks from financing. I’ve never known anyone not to want to sell a car outright. Maybe it was because I ‘out mathed’ him? 🤔
