Retighten all cables

Imagine my surprise when my 2017 Chevrolet Impala just quit on me at the hospital while visiting my husband. After a number of good samaritans said they thought it was the battery, but the battery was only 3 months old, I had to have it towed to the nearest car dealer which happened to be Gordon Chevrolet. I was told they wouldn't be able to get to it until the following day. I left it there around 3:30pm, about 5:30 pm I received a text it was ready to pick up. The diagnosis "found cable loose on battery fuse block, retightened all cables and cleared all code in vehicle" This is the service I received for $149.99! I had little time and little choice, but I will never, ever, ever go back to Gordon Chevrolet. I have purchased 4 Chevrolets in the last 10 years and will go back to my original dealer.

Mrs. Mattiace, I think your anger is misdirected. Maybe the people who installed your battery three months ago will do something for you. I’m not sure how we failed you here. When you had the vehicle towed in, it was because it wouldn’t start. You authorized an initial diagnoses charge of $149 for us to find out why. Our technician spent some time looking the system over and tracked the problem down to cables not properly tightened by the shop that put the battery in. It wasn’t simply open the hood and tighten the cables. Furthermore we helped you get back on the road and in less time than we told you. If you have any questions, we would be happy to discuss it. Terrible service dept

Terrible service dept take it somewhere else they don’t care about your care or problems!! Kept trying o for a week and some days and said it’s was broke but it magically fixed it self !! Find another dealership for service

Thank you for reaching out. In follow-up, we did not relay that the issue was fixed because we didn’t do anything but drive the vehicle; which we can only do for a limited time if your truck doesn’t make the noise for us. We know that leaving a vehicle at a dealership for 3 days, and not getting a problem resolved, is disheartening. However since there is no apparent failure or breakdown, and the vehicle is well within the warranty mileage limits, we suggested that you might have to drive it for a while in order for us to determine if it is simply a normal condition or if there needs to be a repair. When there are intermittent problems with a vehicle, and we cannot duplicate it with the proper equipment attached, or it simply won’t do it when we test drive it, we have to return it to you and try again another day. When we return a vehicle without duplicating the problem and fixing it, everyone loses. The customer has to live with it or reschedule for another day which is very frustrating. We also have wasted time chasing something we can’t find. No one wins. You told us you have it scheduled to be looked at somewhere else. Hopefully your truck will act up while they have a transmission specialists driving it. Please let us know if we can be of further assistance.

Misled by sales agent on several issues, condition of 2019 Sierra had several defects that were not disclosed when I specifically asked "ARE THERE ANY PROBLEMS" with this truck, prior to purchase agreement.
