My husband and I bought a Yukon in May, 2018, our very 1st buy from Billion. We were so impressed that we have bought 4 pickups since then. From reception... to sales to service, we have always been treated right. We are big fans and will always recommend Billion! We live 2 hours from Iowa City and it's worth the drive!
Emailed with a question and had tons of responses all demanding me "come in to test drive!" When I asked for a quote they told me I would get screwed over... at another dealership based on the price I asked them to beat. Bought the car from the other dealer (because they were honest and weren't bullies about everything) AND got the better price.

We train our sales team to be consumer friendly, transparent, and to create a relationship and not as another car deal. I spoke with Kenny many times frequently until I drove down there after taking time off work to find out there was an issue with the steering wheel (Kenny... knew I was on my way) so I got sent home immediately after finding this out. Kenny stated it would be fixed that day and he would get a hold of me. 3 days later I emailed him my frustration and he did apologized but to me it was over. Then a manager Mike Dikey reached out, I responded to his email my frustration and surprise surprise never got a response. Worst customer service. Will not return or recommend. I’ve heard bad things about this place but thought I’d give it a shot on my own...should have listened.

This was by far the worst experience ever. I was pressured into raising my payment amount. And was still denied. As if 600 a month wasn't good enough already.... Then I was told that I didn't want a certain vehicle because it was from South Dakota and those are farm trucks and are treated as such. Wow. Talking about one of their own dealers. Then I was strung along for 4 days with one excuse after another as to what was taking so long with the process. Only to be informed that the deal was dead from the start. I was forced to purchase a vehicle I wasn't interested in nor do I like in the least only because it was the most expensive option. It turns my stomach and I have to live with it now because of the situation I was put in because of this company.

Well once again took caddy to billion and service told me would have car today and guess what no car just like last time I took it there. Over charged... and both times told I would have to wait on car.

Although I can't explain why we didn't get you...r vehicle back on time, I wish to apologize that this has caused you to be inconvenienced, and we get it. Our technicians are factory trained, and we usually do a good job estimating cost and time to get a repair completed. Without knowing anything about your case, my thoughts are that there were other issues that needed to be addressed to fix the fault correctly. Your service adviser should be explaining this to you, as we normally do an excellent job going over the repair order and getting the facts of the matter over to you. I am surprised you weren't explained in detail what would be covered, and ANY TIME there are additional expenses, we contact the customer to go through the authorization process. Terrible service department, rude, unprofessional hacks! I wouldn’t have them service a child’s tricycle! Go anywhere but here, you have a better chance... of watching a YouTube video and fixing it yourself.

I recently bought a vehicle from Billions in Iowa City. The staff was very helpful. They meet our needs in a vehicle and price. They were very easy to... work with. I will definitely be buying my other vehicles from them in the futre.

I went in to look at a used truck. The salesman said they only have a $1,500 markup on all used vehicles and that they aren't able to come down on the... price at all. I heard that and knew they would never earn my business. I go along with it because I wasted my time to come here, I'll waste some of theirs and some of the fuel from the truck. So we get back from the test drive and do an appraisal on my car. Comes back at $15,000. Pretty low since CarMax just up the street offered considerably more as well as did the online estimator on their own website! I gave the salesman a stock # for another of their cars and asked if he knew anything about that one. He punches it in his computer and brings up the same year, make, model, and color of my car I'd be trading in. The only difference is their car had 40,000 more miles and was a trim level under mine. They had it listed for $18,971. So I call him out on it. "If you only have a $1,500 markup and don't have room to drop your prices why is this same vehicle with less options, less features, and about twice the mileage worth so much more? Ready for his response.. This is epic.. "You're confusing yourself with too much research." At this point I shake his hand and walk out. The guy is still calling and emailing saying "I think we can make this deal. When can you come back?" I so badly want to respond informing him that his thoughts don't matter when it comes to me purchasing a vehicle but he can do all the thinking he wants and it wont amount to what I know. Instead I'm sharing my experience with you to save yourself a couple hours.
Matt, I responded to your review from yesterday 2/25/2019, with a request for you to contact our customer care department with regards to your recent... experience with us. I noted you mentioned your grievance over the DesMoines GMC/Buick location, but you are insinuating the experience happened at our Iowa City location? In particular, we tried to do some research on your visit, without your full name we are only assuming that you are letting us in on the full experience. Our dealerships have a track record of transparency, and one of putting together deals that not many dealerships can match. After requesting for you to contact our customer care department to assist us in researching your grievance, you have not done so. That number again is 888-995-3910. While I am admitting at times, a car deal may not appear to be correct in your eyes, we have attempted to assist you on your claims of our dealership trying to sucker you in on the deal. Obviously, anyone who doesn't find we are competitive can always take that deal down the street. We understand that to earn your business, we have to offer the best value for the price. Knowing there are other dealerships which you can choose to put another deal together, something smells here with the fact we weren't more aggressive. Often when we see a difference in trade in values, it is because we do a full vin number decode and use four sources to find trade in values for that zip code for our dealership. Nonetheless, claiming you were at our Iowa City location AND at the DesMoines location with the same story verbatim, all I have to ask is - what is true here and what is not?
