The sales manager was cocky and rude.

The sales manager was cocky and rude. He told me I had to have a front plate on my vehicle. He let me leave without my front please. I made my experience buying this vehicle the worst experience I have ever had. I traveled 6 hr to pickup the vehicle. I was supposed to have a 30 min prosses it took over a hr.

Maverick 33 % markup

They are selling a used Ford Maverick with a $10,000 markup above MSRP. Shameful large corporation. Hope it bites them in the xxx when prices come back down to earth.

Reason Why you should shop at Carmax

My experience at this dealership wasn’t too bad, if you have patience for the people there An the staff you should be good. I got there at 1:30pm an since I didn’t schedule I had to wait but it was only for like 15mins or so till I saw a sale rep. 1:50pm they called me to talk to a sales rep, got my 13 Honda Civic appraised, waited 25mins for them to approved it, then went to the lot picked out my car I wanted. 20mins went back we talked numbers An gave them my down payment An was out in like 45mins after signing an them washing n vacuuming your car, you have the keys An you out the door!! I definitely recommend Marlo if you ever go to this car max. It goes by pretty quick in my opinion, don’t let this other reviews discourage you.

CarMax is dirty... Wouldn't buy from them

Chatted with somebody through the chat option on the CarMax website last night about a vehicle (Stock #20099311) to have it transferred to Richmond so I could test drive it and purchase it. A sales person was supposed to call today, but none did. I found the car again online, now it's $2000 more than it was just over 12 hours ago. Amazed that the price jumped overnight after I inquired about the car through your chat service. I called the dealership to start the process of transferring it and to confirm the price. Sure as heck, the new price is the new price. That's dirty. Carmax already overcharges for vehicles, but to increase the price after somebody starts an inquiry into that vehicle is an all time low.

Service level degradaion

I have bought 3 high end cars from CarMax over the last 3 years. Service and communication was always good. I recently found a Panamera that I wanted to bring in from another store. Held the car on line, received finance approval and never got a response after being bombarded with e-mails from my original visit to appraise car. This flagship store needs work - and I realize how busy you are, so am I.

Undisclosed damage

Purchased a 2019 Buick Enclave with clean car fax and experian autocheck reports. Car looked perfect at first. After 5 days, I noticed imperfections in the paint, misaligned front fender and car was out of alignment. Lucky I found an auction report stating it was in poor condition, had multiple substandard repairs (found masking tape and marks where entire rear quarter was repainted) and a replaced fender. Most likely in an accident. Took it back to Carmax within 7 days and they said must have been an oversight. They didn't care at all and put the car back for sale.

Bad service

Was told would have one hour wait. Kept being told they would take walking ins and we would be up soon. Had picked out car and have outstanding credit. Over 2 and 1/2 hours later they could not get us a salesperson so that we could just purchase car that we wanted.

Rude Personnel

I visited this location to have my vehicle appraised. This process went smoothly, the gentleman who helped me was very nice. I chose not to accept their offer, as it was lower than another offer I received. But that's ok, all I was looking for was information. When I went to leave, they had moved me into a parking space where I did not feel I had sufficient room to get my car out of the space. I tried several times to move it and either bumped into the curb or my rear backup camera started alerting me that I was too close to the van parked up against the row of cars behind me. I got out and asked another gentleman if someone could move the minivan so I could get out of the parking spot. He asked what I was trying to do - so I explained. He told me I had enough room to get out, so I repeated that I felt I did not and could someone move the van. He asked "wait what are you trying to do" - so I repeated the whole thing all over again. This lead me to repeating myself a 3rd time, in which I was very annoyed. He said "I mean I can just move it for you" so I extended my car keys to him. He began to take them, and then shoved them back to me saying "You know what I don't need your attitude" and stormed off. When another employee (I'm assuming a manager or something) came out and asked me what the issue was I relayed "I just asked if someone could move this van so I can leave". He returned inside, and got the keys and moved the van. I quite honestly don't care what they had offered me for my car, I would never go back, and would never refer anyone to go there based on this experience. I may have been frustrated, but the employee what just flat out unhelpful and very rude.
