The dealership completely ignored every attempt to

The dealership completely ignored every attempt to contact them on more than 1 occasion. Guess they do enough business to ignore inquiries.....even though the vehicles I inquired about were still listed as available. That means they don't need my money. I'll but elsewhere

Unprofessional

I won't buy a car from Carmax. I recently went to the Raleigh location to shop around. All of the car interiors were dirty - stained upholstery, what looked like spilled drinks that were never cleaned off several surfaces, and just an overall "used" appearance. And these were cars only 2-3 years old. Many of them smelled bad. One even had a cigarette smell still lingering! On top of that, the employees were incredibly rude and did not even greet us when we approached the counter. Why would I give them my business when other dealerships are more professional? Considering a car is a big purchase, I'll be shopping at a locally owned dealership.

Enjoyed my overall experience

Having purchased only new vehicles my entire life, I found myself in need of buying my girlfriend a certified used vehicle from a local Honda dealership. After the salesman ignored our desires and instead try to upsell us, however, we decided to try Carmax instead. From the start, Carmax offered a helpful hand online and friendly service over the phone: they were quickly able to find what we needed and provide attractive financing in a flash. (Thanks to you, Lesly.) Moreover, I found scheduling of a meeting to finish the deal at the dealership efficient. Once at the dealership, Haseam did well in helping us -- his knowledge and friendliness were impressive, especially since I havevworked in the service industry for many years . Because he did not try to upsell us, but rather did his best to educate us on what would work well, (coming in on his day-off to finalize the deal), I must commend Carmax and its associates for providing a memorable experience. Also, I was thankful that Dashau helped expedite the process when we completed the paperwork; what a breeze! Finally, I know I will come in buy my own used car in the future when my Honda Fit finally gives out. Thanks again, Carmax!

Excellent customer service...K.C.!

Excellent customer service! Worked with K.C. helped us look at and test drive over seven cars, ordered and transferred two and returned one. He was patient with us and made sure that we got exactly the car that we wanted!

Ridiculously low offer for trade/sale

Offered less than half retail value. Car in great shape, no defects, none listed by Carla, yet offer was 7000 for a car that is listed in a variety of areas of the country for on average $16,999. Thieves, and they are killing the used car market. Laughable offer they made with straight faces.

Do not get your appraisal done at Carmax

Brought a 2015 VW Touareg TDI in today to have it appraised. My vehicle only has 34k and is in mint condition. I was shocked at how low Carmax came in on the appraisal. How they stay in business is remarkable. Beware! Sell your vehicle yourself.

Do you like problems?

This location of Carmax will sell you a car with problems and then refuse to fix them. Why?! Why can't they fix the problems before selling the car--it's not that hard. We're not stupid, we're just not car people therefore we took it to a mechanic. Trust a good mechanic--not Carmax. They will do anything to take as much money as possible.
