Purchased a car a year and half ago.

Purchased a car a year and half ago. Need to now sell same car so went back to Carmax and found car has depreciated 11000. When sold I was told car holds its value due to it being top of the line car with low mileage. Also asked for a phone call to discuss but guess what NO call to date.

I just bought a car from them 30 days ago.

I just bought a car from them 30 days ago. The wait time was way less than in the past, the salesperson was pretty helpful with a good disposition. But the customer service totally sucks, the guy that took care of us Geovanni was terrible. Answered a few questions but wasn't specific, I know it was late and we wanted to leave too but this is your job. We had to come back again with a few more questions and he was sitting at the front playing with his phone. As we approached he had an attitude like he didn't want to be bothered, he couldn't answer our questions had to call someone else to step in. I don't know if we want to do further business with people like that in the company.

I purchased a vehicle from CarMax on Feb 20th and they

I purchased a vehicle from CarMax on Feb 20th and they had it shipping out of MA within a day and by Feb 28th they killed the EV's 12V battery by failing to put it in transport mode and plugging it in. The vehicle was then stuck in Chicago for 4 WEEKS. They failed to follow warranty processes of car manufacturers and tried to tell me they couldn't get it serviced until April 14th. I called the manufacturer and they got the service appointment moved up to March 19 (three business days after I called). The manufacturer had to do everything to get the situation resolved as CarMax didn't help but tried to claim credit that their team got the appointment moved up. CarMax got the vehicle back on March 24th and couldn't get transportation arranged for 4 days. Remember they originally shipped it out in one day but the local General Manager tried to tell me it was so extremely complex to ship this vehicle thus the delay. The vehicle is still not here five weeks after purchase; Chicago is only 6 hours from us. I will never buy another vehicle from them again. We have to ask for updates while everyone up to the store manager just makes excuses. If it weren't for the EV configuration, I would have bought from someone else a month ago.

I bought a car at the Shawnee Mission Ks Carmax.

I bought a car at the Shawnee Mission Ks Carmax. It was shipped from another Carmax in Indiana. Within the first 1,500 miles, three warning lights came on. I was out of town and took it to a dealer who found a bulletin stating the fuel pump needed to be replaced. The Carmax dealer had assured me that they did a very thorough check, including looking for any recalls or bulletins about any recalls. This was clearly not the case. I do not know whether it was a failure of the INdiana or Kansas Carmax but my advice is take a car you are considering to a dealer or reliable shop and have a true check out. It was a huge hassle, I lost the use of the car for a day, 1200 miles from home. I would add that the service dept was unable to give me a good check out of the communication or other tech or electronics of the car. They recommended I go to a dealer. The salesman was nice but very limited knowledge. I am sure he believed that the car was checked out but that was simply not true. Grrr.

Watch out!

Watch out! Carmax Vancouver bought my 2022 Tundra & promised me the payoff check was going to Toyota Financial the next day. It's now a month later and I have late payment fees & Toyota says they have no communication with Carmax about this vehicle. I've been told three times Toyota will receive it tomorrow. Watch out for Carmax Vancouver! Also they provide no proof that it's been mailed or "overnighted".

So sitting back and reviewing this CarMax experience... I would NOT recommend buying a vehicle through them. Takes a ridiculous amount of time for the vehicle to get to you...and even though they say they keep you updated, you go for over a week with no clue of where it is. Weeks later it finally shows and there are issues. Depending on who you get when you call you might get a decent person, but most often you get a rude inconsiderate person. Then when you findout the vehicle does not match what they put on the site (i.e. false advetising?) they simply don't care. In summary...buying a car online might be okay with some companies, but I would not do Carmax.

Sold a 2023 Volvo with only one key fab.

Sold a 2023 Volvo with only one key fab. Now unable to use the Volvo app for this like remote start because it requires two. Electric vehicle and no charging cord. Had to ask for one. Only given three rubber mats in the box. No tire stem covers on any of the tires. Not asked if we wanted to get new plate or use current plates. No help with the new vehicle. Tried to calI service to touch up a scratch and nobody answers and the voicemail is full. I would definitely not recommend this dealership.

I have medical issues and am disabled.

I have medical issues and am disabled. I'm elderly and need to sell my car. I have not fully titled it though and 10 months have passed. Instead of Carmax giving me a straight answer as to steps I need to take in order to sell the vehicle, they gave me a runaround that made me waste 8 hours of my time, back and forth. The various agents I spoke to were extremely rude and lacked no patience with me. I will never consider selling through them now due to the unprofessional manner in which they responded to me and the rude responses that they have given me.

got told the car would be 15k i ended up paying 30k at

got told the car would be 15k i ended up paying 30k at the end of the day like how does there end up being 15k in fees it would be much smarter to buy from a stranger on marketplace then to buy from this store
