Do not buy from this dealership

We bought a car from this dealership two weeks again. Within a couple days we realized that the navigation system wasn't working properly and needed to be updated. When we were sold the car, we were not informed that the navigation system needed to be updated and couldn't even get us from point A to point B because it was so outdated. When we called to talk to sales AND SERVICE. We were promised by both departments after telling the specifically what was going on, that they would cover it going to Ford to be updated. It would cost us $150 out of pocket. It doesn't seem fair that we just bought this vehicle and within a week have to go pay $150 to get the navigation fixed to work properly. When we called to schedule they took back their guarantee to get this done for us. If they would have told us BEFORE at bought the car, then we would have been prepared and known what was needed. We were not and they would not take responsibility for it. Very bad customer service and we I would not recommend going there. It's the principle. Not to mention our salesman had us wait several days so that he could get the sale and then last minute gave us someone else.

Great experience

I have a troublesome old car that I need to trade off and find a new car right away. The experience with CarMax was better than I expected, even with my poor credit rating. I found the car that I like and in my price range online prior to arrive the car dealer. The whole process -from the appraisal of my old car, financing a new loan, inspect the new car and a trip around to fetch documentations, under sales lady Shirley Gainey's assistant went extremely smooth. It took only a few hours and all done! I had my nearly new car !

Great experience

False advertising

After talking to two different salesman, asked him if the truck was a V8, he told me that it was. I got qualified and drove 1 1/2 hours and the truck turned out to be a V6. They obviously dropped the ball, they need to ensure all the specs on vehicles before advertising it.

After the delivery service - repair issues

First and last purchase from CarMax. I am a customer with an excellent credit score and expected better customer service after the sale. Under warranty BMW issues not given proper attention in a timely manner. Not allowed to wait on minor car repairs - headlight bulb replacement. Not easy to work with. Always a reason why they can't provide repairs. Not their job. I will not be using them for repairs in the future. Will pay extra and go to the BMW dealership. So glad I did not take the extended warranty offered by CarMax if I can't get service after the sale today.

New Customer NOT Too Happy

Good Afternoon! I am a new customer purchased a 2015 Chevrolet Camaro in March 2018. I received Great Customer Service from both Sale Consultants during the process of purchasing my vehicle but Today I did not receive Great Customer Service from CarMax Service Department Representative. 1. Nick in the service department is whom I spoken with today about the T/C Traction Control sensor light showing ON in a vehicle not even 1 month old being purchase. from CarMax still within warranty. Explaining to him I am a new customer concern with the light showing due to I work 40 miles from my home. Nick ask me What was I concern about? Explaining to him Again the concerns I had with the T/C Traction Control light showing on within the dashboard. Nick places me on hold comes back to tell me the next appointment they had available was May 1, 2018 but I could take it to Another Dealership since its still within its 30 days warranty for them to check the vehicle. NOT EVEN TO MENTION I explained to Nick also about the Oil Change situation. 2). The day of processing and picking up my vehicle (transfer from CarMax on Independence Blvd); My Uncle, Mother and Me ask the sale consultant (not calling her name) If the oil had been changed in the vehicle before driving off the dealership parking lot. She clearly explained to Us that YES the oil had been change; oil changes happens when the car go through inspection and she show us the inspection paperwork but No Oil Change status show on the paperwork but with her professionalism and seem to know what she was talking about; We took her word. Thursday, April 5 coming from work ( remember I work 40 miles from home) the Due for an OIL CHANGE service soon light came on and it shows only 5% remaining oil life for the vehicle. Nervous about driving a vehicle that I have not even paid the First Payment for; Friday I did not drive it to work; I had to drive my mother vehicle to work. Saturday, April 7 , 2018 with a flexible schedule appointment a Professional Dealership change the oil in the vehicle because it had NOT been change. New customer just purchasing a vehicle limited on funds had to come out of my pocket paying for an oil change that was suppose to happen on March 6, 2018 per Nick during this unprofessional, not concern, not caring or putting the customer 1st attitude. Nick did not acknowledge my concerns about the light being on in the vehicle, did not try to assist with looking for an earlier schedule appointment after explaining to him my issues and not listen about the oil change situation after I ask for his manager name who he say is name Enrique. Its not about the money its about taking care of a new customer, putting the customer 1st especially when they tell you about a problem with a new vehicle they JUST PURCHASE Not 1 month old. Thank you for your time.
