Don’t buy an auto train warranty from them, the warranty company does not honor their policy. We bought a car that had a bad engine and needed to be replaced. One week after the purchase! My mechanic said dealer had to have known about the engine before they sold the car.

Quality service and care
Travis came in early to accommodate my schedule to test drive a Crosstrek. Traded fairly for my vehicle. No nonsense transaction. Super pleased. Mechanics on hand. Super fast process when buying a car during a pandemic

Best Dealership Experience EVER
It’s so rare these days that I have an exceptional customer service experience, so I wanted to share this one with anyone considering a Subaru (or anyone around Asheville looking for a car.) I was in the automotive business for years, and I rarely met a dealer who runs his business like this guy. From the first contact (via email) with Skye Autohaus in Weaverville, the service was top-notch. I visited the dealership several times to check out different cars, and each time I showed up, the folks were friendly and helpful. The cars were ready to go, even started and heated, ready for my test drive, on a particularly cold day. It didn’t matter that Travis had the “deal” due to a referral (meaning, he was my salesperson). I was helped by Ed, Kristen, and Rob, the owner. Kristen delivered the car I chose, even though she won’t see the commission from it. I highly recommend her and Ed, whom I worked with the most. Dennis, who details the cars, was around and provided great information, as well. Everyone I interacted with was super friendly and personable; that’s important to me. The car I settled on is a real beauty. One of the things that makes Skye Autohaus exceptional is that they buy great cars to begin with, and go over each with a fine toothed comb, taking care of everything they possibly can before they sell it. My 2013 Outback Premium has a new transmission, new tires and new brakes. It was clean as a whistle on delivery, and the experience from start to finish couldn’t have been better. With the money I saved on the car, I purchased an extended warranty that will cover it for another 3 years. The Keurig was always ready to go, and they even have half and half in the fridge (none of that fake crap)! No pressure, no haggling. They hand you the keys to any car you’re considering, let you look it over, take it for a drive. They’re available for questions, but they don’t push anything on you. They know they have great cars and that if you don’t buy the car, someone else will. I really can’t say enough good things about the folks at Skye Autohaus. And, they ship their cars ANYWHERE, so you don’t have to live in Weaverville (Asheville) to get a great car at a great price. AND, they're going to consign my Volvo, so I don't have to deal with selling it. I'll pay them to detail it, they'll take care of a couple of small repair items at wholesale, list the car on every website they advertise their cars on, show the car, and complete the deal! All for only $400! Thanks, Skye Autohaus, for one of the best car buying experiences EVER! I love my ‘new to me’ Subaru Outback!

Rude, unknowledgeable, and immature
It was a huge mistake to purchase from Skye Autohaus. I came here with my partner to help her buy a new car. They're unprofessional and staffed by uncertain, unknowledgeable individuals. One associate alluded to our relationship with ill-timed and highly inappropriate jokes, stereotyping us and queer individuals. The owner conducted himself in extremely poor taste, yelling at my partner over the phone and talking over her concerns. On the whole, they have handled issues with a disorganized process and immature interpersonal skills. Their mechanics also conducted a shoddy inspection on our car, passing severe issues and missing major problems all together. They also have a low standard for "not rusty." If you do want to buy a car from this dealership, have it inspected by a 3rd party mechanic! Also, do not be afraid to negotiate with them or have a real Subaru specialist estimate the car for you. Skye will fudge about value and the quality of "the work" they've put into it. As for the "90 day warranty," it will not cover tow costs, even if the tow costs are caused by the dealership not having itself together and sending you to two different mechanics. While it's true that office is cozy and they have a fair selection of Subarus, I would absolutely not recommend this dealership to anyone.

Thank you and your partner for driving from S.C. to Skye Autohaus for the purchase of her Subaru. We're proud of the fact that we sell more used Subarus than any other dealer in the Southeast, as well as our 4.8 stars on cars.com and 4.3 stars on google. We couldn't have achieved this without lots of hard work and happy customers. We take great pride in the vehicles we provide for our customers, and we take all feedback to heart. We were discouraged by your negative review, particularly given the attention given by Kristen, my salesperson, to ensure a great experience. I've discussed the situation with Kristen, including reviewing the text and email communication between you, your partner and the dealership, dating back to early April. I was happy to see that Kristen went above and beyond to provide exceptional service throughout the process. She was available on her cell phone to answer questions and kept your partner up to date with details regarding paperwork. She was always available, with a smile and a great attitude, weeks after the vehicle was sold. 5 weeks after the car was sold, Kristen asked via text, "Are you enjoying your Forester?!" to which your partner replied, "Yes! I am, it's a great car!" "And thank you!" It seems the real issue is related to oil loss in the vehicle. The vehicle was put through a 100 point inspection by one of our partner mechanics, who take as much pride in their work as we do. As a result, we invested $1,258.53 in parts & repairs to the 2010 Forester, with over 120,000 miles, to bring it up to our standard. Our mechanic did the following before we sold it: replaced antifreeze, timing belt, water pump and tensioner, and headlight. Completed front/rear brake job, replaced calipers/rotors. No oil loss was discovered during inspection. It seems it was 5-6 weeks after the sale before it was discovered. Short of a leak where oil is clearly escaping from the vehicle, the mechanic had no way of knowing the vehicle was losing oil, if it was at the time. In addition to $1200 in repairs before we sold the car, we included at no cost a 90 day/4500 mile warranty. When you contacted Kristen about the loss of oil, 5-6 weeks after the sale, she found the closest mechanic to your home for service. When you replied that this mechanic was closed, Kristen searched for another mechanic in your area. She also gave the option of bringing the car back to Weaverville and one of the mechanics. You both decided to use a mechanic closer to home, understandably. We regret that the outcome of your partner's interaction with the warranty company's mechanic did not meet your satisfaction. I have worked with the warranty company for many years and have several customers who have benefited from it. The folks at GWC will appreciate your feedback regarding their in-network mechanics directly. I have spent a great deal of time trying to get to the bottom of your comments. I'm unable to uncover any inappropriate comments nor any evidence to suggest Kristen was anything but professional and helpful. You even gave the following compliment on May 25, almost 7 weeks after your partner's purchase, as Kristen continued to help troubleshoot the oil loss issue and search for in-network mechanics to help, "we're also at a loss, but we're confident it can be handled, especially with such professional support as you and your team have been!" "As a bisexual female member of the community, I am heartbroken to hear that there was an impression of me stereotyping anyone. I am not sure what comments led you to feel this way. I'm very sorry if you felt uncomfortable. Myself and the dealership are extremely open-minded and accepting of all walks of life. In fact, I accepted the job at Skye Autohaus because of their open mindedness and inclusion of all individuals, regardless of sexual orientation." -Kristen
No Nonsense Car Buying Experience
I bought my Subaru Forester about a little over a month ago. A new resident to Weaverville going to Skyhaus Auto was a great decision. From the first time I walked in the door my needs were addressed. Travis, Ed, & their mechanic Dennis show genuine and honest customer care. I am grateful for their going the extra mile to ensure my safety and satisfaction as they take care of my auto needs. I would recommend Skyhaus Auto to anyone who wants the integrity and services of their team. Grateful & Blessed.. Thanks gentlemen for all you do!!!

DJT Subaru Fan
5/27/17 I bought a 2010 Subaru Forester to replace my 2010 Subaru Forester that was totaled last month. Subaru's of this age are hard to find, especially since mine was low mileage and in great shape, but Skye Auto Haus has the best selection. They are proud "specialists in used Subarus", so their sign says, and I believe they are. They are not high pressure sales people. They were very helpful to me on the phone several times and on site. The vehicle I chose had an unexpected problem and they got it fixed within a few hours, which matters when you've driven a couple of hours to see the car. If you want a used Subaru they're great.

We visited here when we were looking for a car for our daughter to drive to ASU and even though we ended up going a different route, Ed was very helpful in answering all of her questions and advising appropriately. We would recommend him and this dealership to anytime looking for a car!! THANK YOU

Exactly what I wanted
A friend recommended Skye Autohaus to me and I am so thankful I reached out to them first before a big dealership. It was an easy process and I wasn't sitting in there all day. Love my new Crosstrek!
