AMAZING!!!! Deborah, Daniel and Mike are all awesome. They didn’t have any hidden fees, I explain to Deborah what the price was on Cars.com and she didn’t add any hidden fees like Luis from Elks Volkswagen. Deborah send us to Daniel, and he was very helpful and patient will my daughter. Daniel FaceTime her so she can see the vehicle she was going to purchase. Mike from finance was great he had all the paperwork ready and made it easy to understand what you’re purchasing. I recommend Escobedo Volkswagen to anyone who is looking in purchasing a vehicle.

Set an appoint for recall work on a GTI, they put me on
Set an appoint for recall work on a GTI, they put me on hold to verify part in stock we then made a date to service it. Arrive at the service center they take the car they knew I was just going to wait for it as approx time for recall repair was 1.5 to 2 hrs so just decided to wait for it. About a solid hour or so later and I get text your car ready!!! oh sweet I walk on back over to collect it. They say everything is fine except we don't have the part. Yeah seriously unbelievable. They sent me packing with nothing done lol. Went to a different dealership will not go back or consider for a new purchase.

Strike One: Took my car in for a new battery and they quoted me a price. Left the car and my wife picked me up and we drove off. Got a phone call from the service department who said that they had misquoted me. An extra $100 was needed. Had to turn around and pick up the car. Strike Two: Needed rear brakes replacing. Quoted me a price but did not mention that was for pads and rotors. 2nd quote from an independent service shop quoted me slightly less for both, I went there. Later VW phoned me and said actually their quote was for both. Wasted my time going there, and then booking in elsewhere. Strike Three: Had the 60k service which was good, no apparent problems. We talked about the 70k and what it entailed and they welcomed me back in 10k miles to have it done with them. (I have a prepaid service agreement up to and including the 70k service). I take the car in they do the paper work and then they tell me it is not valid because the 40k service had been done in the low 30s, so my 60k was actually the 70k and arriving at the service center with 69,900 miles was not going to get me the 70k on the agreement. They apologies profusely, but nonetheless. Strike Four (I know the baseball analogy breaks down at this point): I book my other car in on a Saturday for a 50k service and a software upgrade recall - early appointment about 8am. On Thursday I get a call asking if I can leave the car with them all weekend and pick it up on Monday. No reason given. I was handed off to another service technician who never picked up and I was left hanging on the line. Such poor professionalism, and makes me really doubt the quality of their service if their customer facing people cannot get it right. And their online appointment scheduling page has been "down" for weeks with a "try again later" message. Apparently this is deliberate because they are understaffed. Why not just say that, "because of high demand please book by phone."

All at this customers expense…
My 2021 ID4 had a recall so I took it in despite having plans to sell the car before our move to TX. It's now been over 40 days despite multiple promises they were working on it. I've still had to make payments for a car I don't even have and now don't have time to sell it if I even get it back before our move. I've sat on hold countless times and been told someone is going to call me back and often times I don't receive a call back. I don't know any other business where you can handle customers this way and not take ownership or responsibility to make it right. I am a patient person and have hardly gotten loud, but I'm voicing it here as a warning to anyone looking to buy or service through Mossy, it doesn't appear they're willing to take responsibility and make things right when it's their fault...it's a win/win business for them and a lose for this customer.

I purchased a used 2019 VW Jetta SEL for my son in August. This was one of the most pleasant and satisfying experiences I have had buying a car. I am thrilled with the salesman (Nick D'Amico), the company, the finance department (Frank the tank), the car, the service department (especially CJ), and the entire process. The price was fair, the purchase was painless, and the car is absolutely magnificent. There is not a single negative comment that I could make.

The sales person (Jorge Hernandez) and finance person (Frank Parto) both will not answer my inquiries about my $1,200 down payment that after 60-days still has not been applied to my loan balance. I've tried numerous times to reach out them to them both. Neither will as much as reply to me. I'm now waiting to hear back from the General Manager, Matt Smith - fingers crossed! VW America and my attorney will be my next stops if they continue to stonewall and avoid me. Be careful dealing with Mossy; they're great when you're giving them the money; not so good when they owe you anything. They've been unresponsive and unhelpful with these needs.

Don't tell you anything until after you have paid for the used car. Didn't tell us no 2nd key, oh too bad sorry, had to pay a lot to get 2nd key made. No floor mats, they not even sorry about that. Got car home, oil leak, told to just take to a mechanic to get it fixed, no help with that. The finance guy was completely rude, not nice or friendly or helpful at all. Will never buy a used car from them again!

Safety isn’t a concern here
I received fraudulent service at Mossy Volkswagen. I came to my local Volkswagen early in the year to get my clock spring replaced. After the service, my steering wheels buttons and horn stopped working. The service man informed that the wheel appeared to have been damaged by me and in order to fix it I needed to be replaced. He said I caused the damage so I would waste time dealing with warranty because they will deny to cover. Assuming that the clock spring was replaced, I thought the airbag was at least safe. They did not tell me the airbag would fail in case of collision but the repair price range was 1,0000-2,000. Recently I took my car for an oil change, the mechanic said it was urgent to take my car to Volkswagen. I went to VW Kearny Mesa, they inspected the vehicle they found that the clock spring and some buttons on the steering wheel needed to be replaced. They refused to hand me my car back and explained to me that it was dangerous to drive but they needed my car for a couple of days. They provided a car rental at the dealers expense and said they will try to cover as much as they can with the warranty . The repair cost here was only over $100. Mossy Volkswagen did not urge about any dangers, did not fulfill the service I came for or try to help me, they were more concerned for the sale. Not sure if that’s the manner that they provide business here or the service man that helped me or if they lack knowledge but be cautious here.
