Serra Honda says, "When you shop with Serra Honda Grandville, we treat you like family. That's because you are to us; you're not just another customer... here." I did not have that experience. They sold me a budget row vehicle with mechanical issues that arose within one month. I brought to the service department at the dealership and they quoted me at $3000 in repairs. They offered a "small" discount on labor for repairs, and were short with me on the phone and throughout the process. Essentially, they shrugged when the vehicle issues came up and pointed to the "as is" contract I had signed. While technically true, this is not how I would treat my family. It's fine if they want to be hands-off after selling a vehicle with mechanical issues, but they shouldn't advertise that they treat people like family... well at least not any family I'd want to be a part of. Stay away.
Just purchased our second vehicle in three years from Serra. They are always very helpful, I've never felt pressured, and no one could beat the deal they... offered us. And a huge selection of vehicles. If you are looking for a Honda, this is the place to go.
I had the pleasure of working with Alex. I appreciated his straight forward, not pushy sales style. We were easily able to communicate via email so I... was set to go as soon as I got to the dealership for a test drive. He showed other options without hesitation.

I brought my husband's car in to have the tire pressure sensor repaired. I made an appointment for 2 PM and told them I would wait while the repair was... being done. I told the man at the desk I would be gone briefly, in case there were any issues. Was back in less than a half hour and waited until 4 for the car to be finished. The next morning the tire was flat. Fortunately I was out of town for a week so my husband used MY car. When I returned I called to explain what had happened. I was told to bring the car back in. My husband put the spare tire on and that went flat too. I decided to take my tire somewhere else to have it fixed and or replaced. We purchased a complete set of winter tires. I called 3 times to ask for my money back when I found out they hadn't replaced the gasket that I had waited 2 hours for. I never received a call back. The other company replaced my 4 tires and the gasket in less than 45 minutes from the time I walked in the door with no appointment. Now 1 week later and no leaks. While I sat In Serra Honda's waiting room I watched the service men come out and try to talk every customer into extra repairs. I'll never go there again.
So I had a strut in our Odyssey break through to the hood so we brought it in. They sent my wife and kids with a loaner while the work was being done,... so that WAS nice. I called Randy twice while the vehicle was in and left messages about questions I had concerning the strut and non-closing door; never returned those calls. Called Randy again when alignment pulled vehicle to the right pretty hard after strut replacement; never returned call. Called service manager to tell him that i'm not getting any calls back from Randy; manager never returns call. Call service bc we eventually need alignment fixed and oil changed, said I don't want to work with Randy anymore, so please transfer the phone to anyone else; sends me right to Randy. Have to tell Randy that I don't want to work with him anymore, so he sends me to a woman who tells me that I can bring it in anytime that day and they have a loaner for my wife and 3 kids to use while they figure out what's going on; my wife calls to see if they can get her in later in the day, and they have NO idea what she's talking about, as if I'd never called. Have fun dealing with this nightmare.
