The promise of driving away in a nicer, newer car
The promise of driving away in a nicer, newer car continues to be given only to a select few. I am a REPEAT customer with REPEAT bad experiences. (yes, shame on me for returning.) I finally went in under the guise of getting all this help, new programs to help me get into a better payment, etc. I hate having my time wasted and wasting other people's time. I told them from the start there was no point in coming in but they push and push and push and promise that they have all these incentives one could qualify for in order to get top dollar for my trade (on top of being a GM Legacy potential deal as my dad worked for GM). I bought this car through a customer service repair associate (after a previous terrible experience). Previously, I was able to use my warranties as down payments. Now, Stoops has a new owner and because it isn't the "old Stoops" I could only get cash back after my trade in. I couldn't use that same cash back toward a down payment meaning my payment would still be sky high. This is ridiculous and I am highly upset. I was told my credit was fine and I could be approved but there was nothing they could do about keeping me at a better (or even the same) payment. I also had an email about $7/down. Also false advertising that they like to hit you with in order to get you inside and waste your time.

Thanks for your reply, while we do everything possible to help each and every customer into a nicer newer vehicle there are from time to time situations out of our control.
This situation did not appear to be out of your control. It was simply mishandled. Shame on me for coming back in. You have staff that are kind and staff that I have successfully purchased a vehicle from before (except this staff member was employed by a better facility), that is true but that is the only positive thing I will say. This simply was not a good experience that could have been handled better if you allowed your staff to follow through on your advertising “guarantees.”

This isn't the dealership if your looking to buy a vehicle. They don't get back with you until the next day (By then you've already received 5 return calls from someone else). They act as though they don't want to sell anything. I attempted to speak with the GM and got nothing. No negotiations at all. Stay away, and save your time. 0 stars.

I contacted the seller to try to get better pictures of a used car for sale. I'm not sure if their responses are generated by a bot or a real person but their customer service is horrible. Every question was answered with, "When can a vehicle specialist call you?". Between my texts and emails I asked in writing ELEVEN times for a picture of the car. The final straw was when the reply was, "I'll pass this information over to my team but I can not make promises". This has to be a poor automated AI / bot response because no human being who works in sales should come up with this response. Apparently, taking one picture of a car and sending it to a potential customer is too difficult for them.

Bought 2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty XLT August 17th 2024
Bought 2020 Ford F-350 Super Duty XLT August 17th 2024 from Stoops . Drove home lay that night after being there 4 hrs for paperwork. Engine light came on. Inform them spoke with Cory basically said bring in will look at codes and I said fix for free too? He said you bought as is and not warranty and even a new car that could happen to! So we took to our mechanic we could trust and he found metal shavings I fuel tank. Contact them again and was told GM would call me! Nothing yet! Spoke with Robert the salesman who sold to us. Basically saying he didn’t know and need to talk with GM . Which he already knew this because he said I would be getting a call from them shortly. We also dealt with Steve McFarland on price but when I called and they gave me Cory and he was rude. None of them called us back! So basically have a 40,000 dollar truck we can’t drive unless we pay to have fix for 8,000 to 15,000 dollars. Our mechanic hoping he can fix it for the 8,000. He also told us someone had mess with the fuel filter because not the factory one. Stoops said they didn’t know but if local trade like they said then they know who the got it from because car fax says 2 owners. They are not willing to stand behind what they sold us evidently because no response and I doing the calling and text salesman Robert. We were even desperate enough to say meet us halfway on repairs. Can prove by mileage that we only drove it home and then to mechanic once to check engine codes and then yo take get get repaired. People do not buy just trying to save others from what we going through. And now from word of mouth we are not the first🥲😡

Thanks for the review, unfortunately your requests and calls have been returned and reviewed. There is no inspection that we would know of that checks the inside of gas tank as you imply. Stoops nor any used car inspection would disconnect and check the inside of a fuel tank during an inspection. It’s unfortunate that the opportunity of an extended service agreement was not taken on the purchase as this most likely would have been something to protect your purchase.
Multiple responses have been made, inspection was done, extended service agreement was offered but declined.
Not one person made a call to me! You’re lying! If you did give dates please! What kind of business doesn’t care that the customer bought a $40,000. Truck and can’t drive it til we spend 8,000 to 15,000 to fix it! I can prove the mileage from papers to when we bought it to the truck sitting now.when you spend frothy thousand you should not have to buy a warranty. It is a 2020. What kind of cars do you buy???? Your lack of professionalism astounds me! People as you see they don’t care we paid 40,000. Dollars which is a payment of 799.00 for a truck can not drive! Why would you justify well we don’t check fuel tanks! The engine light came on when drove home that night! You said local trade. So call them you have number and name let’s meet. Because someone knew about it!!! Man up!!!
